The clock chimed a quarter to midnight, the crescent moon emitting a subtle glow over the Rosier manor. "Dad, are you sure it isn't your birthday coming up? I swear you move like you're on your seventh hip."

The young girl beamed in satisfaction as she heard her father scoff. "Excuse me, I'll have you know that I am doing just fine with my first hip and have you seen this face? It is the epitome of a masterpiece."

The latter rolls her eyes playfully as she makes her way out of their kitchen and toward the stairs, her father following shortly after.

The two Rosiers easily find their way to their favourite spot on the entire property. Their spot had been set up, as usual with spare blankets laid out across the flattest area of the vast roof. It just so happens to be the most elevated section which works in their favour.

Evan's heart thaws at the sight of his daughter's growing smile. The idea of his little girl growing up had left him drowning in a bittersweet feeling all week. Soon, he would be sending her off to her first year at Hogwarts and he certainly didn't like the idea of letting her go.
