Forget this crush? What a joke

We're currently practicing because today is the general rehearsal and tomorrow is the field demo.

Right now, me and my groupmates are outside the gymnasium, waiting for our turn to practice our performance.

Actually, right now I'm observing Ashton and how he's drinking from a water bottle, sweat dripping down his neck, his adam's apple moving. My throat suddenly felt dry.

Violet?!?! What is wrong with you!!!? Dangerous! Foul!! Stop looking!

I peeked again to see Ashton using his towel to wipe the sweat around his neck. Gulp

"Ow!" Someone had the audacity to hit the back of my head

"What are you staring at?" this annoying voice... I looked up to see Colton using his shirt to wipe his sweat off on his face, slightly showing his ab-- stop

"I'm just thinking about the dance steps, that's why I looked spaced out" my excuse was good

Colton scoffed "Sure. Hey where's your water?"

Before I can tell him 'no', he already took my water bottle in my bag and drank from it

"Heyyy! You finished all of it! I still need that" I tried to take the water bottle from him

Colton just rub to my face how he drank all of my water "ahhh thanks, Vi!" Then he grabbed my hand

Now where is this brat taking me? We're gonna start our dance practice

"Let go! It's our turn next" I winced but he just kept dragging me near a... water fountain

This... this kid! There was a water fountain? He could've just went there by himself and not steal my drink

He turned on the faucet and refill my water bottle

"See, I'm refilling your water" he grinned

"Then why didn't you do this in the first place?" I raised my brow at him

He paused

He grinned again

"Because it's yours" he replied as he moved his face near mine

I just waved my hand in front of him

"Funny. Now give me that" I snatched the bottle from him and ran back to my groupmates entering the gymnasium

That Colton. Teasing me as he pleases. Not funny.

I suddenly bumped to someone and my bottle fell down

That someone retrieved the bottle

That someone was Ashton

"T-thank you" why am I shy?

Ashton just smiled then continued walking

I was stunned, frozen at my own feet as I just watch Ashton get to his position

Then I felt my water bottle taken away from my hand. Eh? Did it fall down again? Was I too focused on Ashton I didn't even notice... oh

"Oh so that's what you were staring at" Colton said, holding my water bottle pressing his cheek

"haa.." I just glared at Colton but I feel like my face is burning.

The music started playing so I just ran to my position so I can finish this dance practice

It's 7:08am and I just arrived at school, there are already many students because we need to prepare some props and costumes for this stupid field demo. Ugh I just want this to end already.

The field demo will officially start around 9 am, starting with the 1st years. We're 2nd years so maybe we'll start around 10 am. The props are almost done and the 1st years are ready to perform so we went inside the gymnasium to watch for a bit, it's okay because we're also wearing our costumes and the propsmen know what to do after the 1st years performance.

I decided to sit on a bleacher near an exit so I can easily get out if we're next. I can see Daph on the other side of the gymnasium with her groupmates, I'm together with mine and Ashton's but he's kinda far away from me, laughing with his friends. Hmmm he looks cute, he probably cracked a joke or something. I suddenly find myself watching Ashton rather than the 1st years

Then someone decided to just cover my view and stand in from of me, and from its physique I just know who this annoying person is.

"Colton, move aside I can't see the performance" I tried to pull his shirt

He just grabbed my hand and leaned closer to me

"You're not even looking at the performance" his eyes were serious

Can he stop minding my business

I leaned back because his face is too close "whatever, you're also not watching the performance anyways" for some reason I can't look him in the eyes

"Yeah, because I'm busy observing someone" then he sat next to me, leaning his weight on my side

I tried to push him away but he just rest his head on my shoulder

"Okay???? Why don't you observe that someone more and not fall asleep on me" ugh he's too heavy and I'm being pushed on the railing of the bleachers

"Eh I'm done observing" he just said with a lazy voice... his eyes are even closed?

Not gonna lie I feel curious

"W-who is it though?" I asked, I suddenly stopped pushing him away, letting him rest next to me because I'll just waste my energy.

He lifted his head resting on my shoulder, his eyes were sparkling as his lips curved into a smile

"Hmm you know" why is his voice soft? And the way he shifts his head, as if he's scooching more? And why is my heart beating faster than usual?

"I don't know" I replied back, just looking at his head, his fingers fidgeting

Then slowly, his hand is moving closer to... mine?

He was close on touching it and I'm not even doing anything to move it away from him

"2nd years please go outside the gymnasium, the 1st years are almost finish" a teacher alarmed us

That made me jump up and gained my rationality, looking up at Colton I saw how red his face is, his hand covering his mouth

What's up with him? Actually, what's up with me? My heart is still beating fast

I just hit his arm "Hey stop playing around, let's head outside" and I just tried to move past him, following my batchmates outside.
