When Mia told me I had to find another place all those months ago, I saw hundreds of flashbacks of what I was going to miss about this place. Like in a romantic drama, I saw a whole montage all flash by, with sad music playing in the background and tears streaming down my cheeks.

But I never saw how we have ended up now. We're curled up in Mia and Cooper's bed, and with blackhead masks on our faces, we're watching the third chick flick of the day. And just when I thought things couldn't be more perfect, Cooper walks in with two hot chocolates, whipped cream, and marshmallows on top.

"I think you two need this," he says while handing the hot cups to both of us. "I'm getting groceries now. Anything I should definitely bring?"

"More chocolate," Mia immediately demands. The poor girl is having a breakthrough bleed, and she's breaking out massively, hence the facial masks. "And maybe one of those cheese toasties you always make?"

On cue, Coop's lips form into a pantie-dropping smile. "The one with chili flakes?"

This man is truly every girl's dream, I'm sure.

"Yes!" Mia puts her cup on the bedside table and then claps her hands. "Jo needs to try them. They are só good."

Lay it on thick here, honey. Jeez.

"Oh, yeah?" Cooper counters, and if I'm not mistaken, his voice has dropped an octave. Mia hums, and the sound is even making me blush.

"Okay, horny lovebirds, do I need to give you a few?" I ask. I need to put a stop to this because I am not watching another couple fuck ever again. Been there, done that, didn't end well.

"Nah, my girl needs a hot pad and chocolate," Coop answers before he tears his eyes from Mia to me. "And I'm guessing you need them too?"

Smiling, I nod my head. I am not gonna say no to being pampered by a man, and now that he mentioned it; my tummy does feel a bit sore. For completely different reasons than Mia's, but sore nonetheless.

Hero definitely punched my cervix a few times with his deadly thrusts.

"And what do the ladies want for dinner?" He then asks.

Mia turns to me with a questioning look, but I just shrug. I can eat about eight bars of chocolate right now, but the idea of dinner just doesn't seem appealing at all. I just need sugar, I think. Sugar and cocoa.

"We can order in? See what we want tonight?" Mia opts, and Cooper is the one that nods his head in agreement.

"Fine by me." He smiles and then leans over the bed to kiss Mia on her lips. "I'm going then. I need to drop something off at the office too."

Cooper is working from home today. He asked us if he had to go in anyway now that I'm here, but both Mia and I told him no. This is his house now, not mine, and I honestly don't mind him being here. Clearly, my best friend doesn't mind either.

With a wave and another goodbye, Cooper leaves the room, and on cue, Mia sighs like a love-sick puppy. "Sometimes I just can't believe I'm actually doing the nasty him."

I giggle. "And you will do it for the rest of your life too."

Sighing, Mia lifts her hand to look at the diamond that glitters on her ring finger. It's a subtle diamond, attached to a thin band. I have to give Coop credit for this; it's exactly Mia.

"It still feels as if I'm dreaming," she tells me, her eyes on her ring still. "He is a dream."

I can't help but smile as I watch her. She looks so happy, it truly makes me happy too. "Tell me about the proposal?"
