"[voiceover by Marinette]. A lot has happened over the course of a week. [flashbacks to NYC]. I saw a new city with Adrien. I fought clawers with Cat Noir. And manage to stop Essence with the help of some new friends. Eagle and Uncanny Valley. Ever since that night, Cat Noir and I learned the truth. There are more miraculous around the world. More than we can ever imagine. That amount of power the miraculous contain are probably sitting someone. Waiting for bad people like Essence to take it. I'm not sure where they are, or where Essence will go to find them. But what I do know is that Essence wants more than our miraculous. He can send an army of clawers, a miraculous he stole, or anything to get what he wants. But there is one thing I guarantee. We will make sure Essence leaves with no miraculous in hand because Ladybug and Cat Noir will be there to stop him." Marinette said.
After that voiceover, we go to Paris, where Marinette is chilling in her bedroom with Tikki. She sits at her computer, trying to do some research. "Tikki. Did you ever knew the Eagle kwami, or any of their others in the box it came from?" Marinette asked. "Her name is Liiri, and she is from the Native American Box. And of course I knew her. I knew all the kwamis. We all did, including Nooroo and Duusu. Before Hawkmoth got his hands on them." Tikki replied. "If that's the case, then you should know where some of them will be right?" Marinette asked. "Unfortunately, its been decades since I last spoken to another kwami. Expect the others in the Mother Box. Speaking of which, aren't you going to open it?" Tikki asked back. "Not yet. Ever since Fu's passing, I just want to keep the box safe. When the time comes, I will open it. Plus, Hawkmoth hasn't attacked over this course of time. He is probably planning something big. Also, I'm more focused on finding more about these other boxes for now." Marinette replied. "Why? Hawkmoth doesn't want them. Only the miraculous from this box." Tikki asked. "But Essence does. For what reason? I'm not sure, but if it requires some if not ever miraculous in the world, we cannot let him get it." Marinette replied. "The real question is, which box is he going for new?" Tikki asked. Speaking of box, Mari gets a notification on her computer. Mari clicks it, and she sees a news report from NYC. We get to see how out heroes Eagle and Uncanny Valley are doing. They have been fighting crime in the name of justice ever since Essence's attack. It's not just them. They are also accompanied by two other new heroes. Lightwing, holder of the Thunderbird miraculous, and Brother Bear, holder of the Bear miraculous. Just like the two, Lightwing and Brother Bear have proven they are worthy miraculous holders. Looks like Jess and Aeon(the real way to spell it, not Aon. My apologies) super team is coming together nicely. This interest also gets the attention of Essence. Sitting in his computer room, watching the report. "Intriguing. The Native American Box is now in NYC. And those idiots are already passing them out like candy. I'll make sure I get them once my job in Paris is over." Essence said. A clawers comes up to Essence's floor. "Sir, according to my data, we were right. The eclipse will occur tonight. The one that will get you a more powerful weapon." Clawer said. Essence looks at the data the clawer brought him. "Excellent work. But you guys forgot something. How can I get it without the key?" Essence asked. "Thought you would say that. [projects from his eyes]. Our clawers have been investigating Shanghai for the last few days. The place this magical eclipse will happen. Despite our best efforts, we made zero progress. But that was the last few days. Today, we managed to find the key. Look. [freezes, and zooms in]. This is the bracelet you need correct? The jade one with the lion on it?" Clawer asked. "Your right. This is the bracelet. [gets out of chair]. You robots played your role perfectly, but don't expect this to be easy." Essence replied. "Why, master?" Clawer asked. "Might I recall the last time we went on vacation. [flashback to Essence losing the Eagle miraculous]. We had a miraculous, and I foolishly made the choice to fight them. I should have left NYC, and came up with a better plan. Not waste the chance to get more miraculous. It's fine in the end. You simply have to learn from your mistakes. Once we get that bracelet, and the jewel, we are leaving immediately." Essence replied. "Understood, master. I'll get the clawers ready for the trip. We will succeed this time." Clawer said. "Yes. And this time I will be extra cautious in cause of heroes standing in my way." Essence replied in an evil manner.
Back at Mari's, she is still trying to find the location for any other miraculous boxes. She isn't making any progress. Her work gets interrupted, when someone knocks in her bedroom door. "Marinette. Your Mother and I need to speak to you." Tom said. "I'm kinda of busy, Dad. Can it wait for a couple more minutes?" Marinette asked. "No, it must happen right now. It will be quick. I promise." Tom replied. "[signs]. Ok. I'll come." Marinette said. Marinette comes out of her room. She goes downstairs, and into the bakery. The lights are out, and Marinette gets confused. "Sorry, but what is this?" Marinette asked. "SURPRISE!!!!!!" Mari's parents screamed as the lights turn on. Marinette gets frightened, and is sent to the ground. She takes deep breathes, as Mari's parents smile in excitement. "[more deep breathes]. What the heck, guys? You scared the living day lights out of me." Marinette asked. "Sorry, sweetie. [helps Mari up]. We were just giving you the surprise of a lifetime." Tom replied. "Surprise of a lifetime?" Marinette asked. "Yep. Today is a very special today. Today is your Uncle's.........BIRTHDAY!!!!!" Sabine yelled. "It's his birthday? Shouldn't you save a surprise like that for him?" Marinette asked. "Of course, but he is all the way in Shanghai. Which is......the place your going to today." Sabine replied. "Excuse me?" Marinette asked confused. "She's not lying, Marinette. You are going to Shanghai to celebrate your Uncle's birthday. As well as see your gorgeous Mother came from." Tom replied as he kisses Sabine on the cheek. "Ok, I'm still confused." Marinette said. "Well, do you see that box full next to you on the counter? [Mari sees the box]. Your Mother and I have been saving ever single earning in our life. Ever cent. Ever dollar. Everything, all for this moment. A moment just......for you. That's enough cash to afford one ticket for Shanghai. Where you will see your true lineage, and where your family came from. To Sabine's side of course." Tom replied. "This is something we've been waiting so many years for. I......I think I'm going to cry." Sabine said as she slowly sheds some tears. "Here, here, honey. It's ok. Our point being, is that you are going to Shanghai to see your uncle, and the place itself. We hope you love it." Tom said. Marinette stands in shock at this surprise. "Oh my God. Guys I.......I don't know what to say." Marinette said. "Your welcome." Tom replied. "I mean, of course. But.....But....ummmm, pardon me for a moment." Marinette said as she runs out of the room. She opens her purse, as Tikki flies out. "What should I do, Tikki? I can't go to Shanghai. Paris needs me. They need Ladybug. But.....I can't disappoint them. They have been waiting years to do this for me." Marinette panicked. "Relax, Marinette. It's ok. Remember what happened the last time you left Paris? It was perfectly fine. And seeing Hawkmoth's recording of zero attacks recently, I'm sure we'll be ok." Tikki replied. "Still, I don't want to abandon Paris again. I don't want to abandon anyone." Marinette panicked. "Everything will be alright. Besides, you have the Horse miraculous now. If something were to go wrong, just unify, and use voyage. Piece of cake." Tikki replied as she licks her lips. "Hmmmmm, you do have a point. And Cat Noir?" Marinette asked. "Just do what you did last time, expect tell him you'll be more careful this time." Tikki replied. Marinette thinks for a moment at this. "I LOVE IT!!!! Thank you guys so much. I'm so happy to go to Shanghai." Marinette said as she runs and hugs her parents. Tom and Sabine smile, as they hug their daughter.
Soon, Marinette is driven to the airport, and takes a one way trip to Shanghai. Also flying in the sky is Essence and his gang of clawers. They all load up the helicopter, and step inside. After closing the door, they fly off into the sky to Shanghai. There, Mari is picked up by her uncle, and they drive off to his place. "I'm very happy for you to be here with me, Marinette. It's an honor for you to be in Shanghai." Mari's Uncle said. "Absolutely. I'm sorry that I.....didn't get you anything." Marinette replied. "It's no problem. You already did." Mari's Uncle said. "I did?" Marinette asked. "You of course. You are the gift for my birthday. Having my niece come, and spend the day with me. That is the gift you have me." Mari's uncle said. Marinette smiles, as she is driven to her uncle's home. "Welcome to The Thousand Delights(actual name according to the movie). I started working her when I was just your age, Marinette. Originally, I wanted to be a handy man. Helping people with their needs. It's true. But considering we fell on hard times, I was forced with helping my Father in the kitchen. It wasn't something I like doing. I struggled of course with the rules of being a chef, and our restaurant wasn't doing so fresh. It was also the like.....we were close to getting shut down. I didn't want that to happen. So, I focused more and more when I was in the kitchen. Getting use to the techniques a great chef must obtain. During my off hours, I spend the time trying to cook new things. Sometimes it leads to me getting in trouble with my parents. Sometimes I failed when I tried so hard. But sometimes, I made my family happy thanks to my creativity. Creativity is one of the best keep aspects of being a chef. Letting your mind explore interesting ways to impress people. I worked mostly by that aspect. Letting my mind go wild in the kitchen. Soon, I made spectacular dish, after dish, after dish. That was at the time I realized that cooking was my specialty. Not what I originally wanted. So with the help of my Father, we managed to turn this very restaurant, into a sensation. Nowadays, I've been holding down the fort, since my Dad retired. He's living with my Mother off in another part of the world. We have been keeping in touch ever since." Mari's Uncle said. "Woah. That was incredible. Never knew you wanted to be a handy man." Marinette replied. "Well sometimes your see that maybe a career you thought you didn't see yourself in, can actually be a career you find yourself in. But what truly matters in the end, is to be happy with what you want to do." Mari's Uncle said. "Yes. I've always wanted to be a fashion designer. It's something I've been doing for a while. In fact, I was able to get some of my designs approved by famous fashion designers." Marinette replied. "You don't say." Mari's Uncle said. "I mean it. It still blows my mind I got approved by them. But in the end, I was happy for what I did. I felt happy with that I am doing. Just like you cooking." Marinette replied. "That's the key to living a happy life. Being happy with what you are doing in life." Mari's Uncle said. Marinette nods her head. "Why don't you take a moment to sit door, and get use with the atmosphere. I'll prepare us our lunch." Mari's Uncle said. Marinette sits down, as he uncle gets to work. Mari looks around, and takes in what his restaurant has to offer. The style is stunning. The liveliness is fresh. It impress Marinette everywhere she looks. Soon, Mari's uncle re-emerges with their lunch. "Ok, Marinette. What I have for us is a classic dish in Shanghai. Braised eggplant." Mari's Uncle said as he plates the dish. "I'm sorry, braised eggplant?" Marinette asked. "Yes. We braise eggplant here(which is true. Look it up). Just try it. I'm sure you'll love it. If not, that's ok. We can find something you will like." Mari's Uncle replied. Marinette looks at the eggplant. She is still a bit skeptical to eat this, but she is in Shanghai. It's best to try what they have to offer. Marinette slices into the eggplant, and stabs a piece with her fork. With that, she puts it into her mouth. Marinette chews, until she swallows the eggplant. "Hmmmm......hmmmm.....HMMMMMM. This is actually really good." Marinette said. "Thank you. Just doing what I do best that's all. I'll let you finish eating up. We have a lot to do before tonight comes." Mari's Uncle replied. "What stuff?" Marinette asked. "Well, tonight is this very rare red moon eclipse that happens once a decade. Some people say it's the best time of the year in Shanghai. And its conveniently on my birthday. So to celebrate, there is a huge market in the center of Shanghai. Hundreds if not thousands of people will be there. I want to go to get some ingredients for tonight's feast. It will also serve as a great time for me to show you around the place." Mari's Uncle replied. "Really? That's amazing." Marinette said. "But of course, let's finish eating, before we go." Mari's Uncle replied. Marinette agrees, and the other of them eat their lunch.
Once they are done, it is off to the market. In a montage, Mari's uncle shows Marinette around Shanghai. They take a stroll on Shanghai's Promenade: The Bund. Taking in the fresh air around them. They witness an extraordinary view from the top of The Oriental Pearl Tower. Gazing at roaring sights. And embrace the life at Yu Garden. Shanghai's oldest green space(fun fact, this is all true. I based this all off real stuff in Shanghai. I did my research). Eventually, their journey leads them to Nanijing Road. The place the market is being held at. Marinette and her uncle make their way through crowds of people. They all want the same thing. To enjoy tonight's rare eclipse. The amount of stands around them is incredible. Although they both have cellphones, Marinette and her uncle stay close together anyway. Mari's uncle goes to the stands they need to go to for the ingredients they need for tonight. As he pays, Marinette takes in more of Shanghai's beauty. She is really loving the place, and is happy she came. Marinette takes out her phone, and is happy to see no trouble in Paris. All must be going well back home. The two of them continue to shop, as well as the other patrons. As people move around, a mysterious someone is lurking through the market. We don't get to see him or her, but we do see him or her move carefully and fast through the crowd. There, the person starts pickpocketing people when he or she has the chance. Stealing cellphones, wallets, cash, anything that's worth a yuan. The stranger continues her thief work, as Marinette and her uncle continue there's. As the stranger steals, and Mari and her uncle explore, they start to get closer and closer together. Every thing the their steals. Every ingredient Mari's uncle gets. It leads them closer to their each other's location. Soon, the thief locks her eyes on one, Marinette. The stranger moves quickly, only to make sure she is in the clear. Once she is, the stranger makes her move. She snags Mari's earrings fast, but making sure she doesn't react. And slowly removes her purse full of valuables. This thief has skill, as he or she walks away with more stuff. Marinette, unknown to losing her stuff, strolls through the market with her uncle. As they walk, Marinette accidentally jumps into someone. She says sorry, as that person just causally walks away. Marinette looks, and unfortunately doesn't see her uncle anywhere. She gets a little worried, but manages to stay calm throughout this situation. Mari tries to look around for him, but she is failing miserably. She looks at the stands she was once at, the stands they were, everywhere. She hasn't made any progress of finding him. It's ok, Marinette can use her phone to call her uncle. So that's exactly what she does. Marinette first gets out of the market area, and goes to an alleyway. To be able to speak to her uncle more clearly. There, Marinette goes to her purse to get her phone, and calls her uncle. Expect, she doesn't feel her purse by her side. Marinette looks, and is in horror at what she sees. Her purse not on her body. Mari spirals out of control, but that is the the real horror. Marinette slowly realizes one of her greatest fears in life. Marinette moves her hand slowly to her ears. She touches them, and is traumatized that her miraculous.......are not there. Marinette screams in terror, before falling to the ground devastated.
Essence and his gang finally arrive in Shanghai. They land their helicopter on a roof of a building. The door opens, and Essence and his clawers step off. "Welcome to Shanghai my minions. The home of the legendary red eclipse. The one that will allow me to get what we came here for. The Prodigious. For those who don't know, The Prodigious is a very special and very powerful miraculous. One until all the others in the world. While a normal miraculous gives one the ability to use a specific superpower, The Prodigious gives one the ability of eight. Kind of. Basically, you have the power to turn into a different animal. A bear, mantis, monkey, snake, horse, tiger, bird, or dragon. These eight were chosen mainly based on the eight human values. All I need it for is my plan. As well as the bracelet and the box from which it came from." Essence said. "Why do we need the box, master? It's not like it will help us." Clawer asked. "One, to keep the miraculous somewhere safe. And two, it essential for us." Essence replied. "Understood." Clawer said. "Well why are some of the animals the same? Like, there's a monkey, snake, horse, tiger, and dragon. All of which are in the Mother Box. And the bear and eagle, we just saw that today in NYC." Another Clawer asked. "Too be honest, that's actually the one thing I don't know. At least the powers are different. Anyway, the eclipse doesn't start for the next eight hours. We must make sure we are in the proper location when that time comes." Essence replied. "Shall we get the bracelet?" Clawer asked. "Not now. We will when the time comes. I don't want any trouble while we are here. Ladybug may not be here, but I have a feeling something fishy maybe among us." Essence replied. We then go see what that mysterious stranger is up to. She looks through her stolen goods, satisfied with the amount this stuff can sell for. Tikki looks through the purse, and sees her situation. She immediately goes back in when the stranger looks at the purse. The stranger opens the purse, and finds Tikki, thinking it's just some weird toy. The stranger grabs the stuff she needs, and moves to where she needs to go. Some pawn shop in a shady part of town. Inside, a man is playing cards with his thugs. Making cash while he is at it. Ironically, this man's name is Cash. Cash hears his bell ring, so he gets up to see who it is. "Well, well, well. If it isn't my favorite customer, Fei." Cash said addressing the stranger. "Cool it with the sweet talk. I have stuff for you." Fei replied. Fei opens her bag, and pours out all the stuff she stole. "My, my. You really out did yourself today. This looks like it's worth a lot of money. Lots and lots of sweet money." Cash said. "Word to wise, get help with your money fetus. Anyway, I hope your happy with me." Fei replied. "Very much. This is probably our biggest load ever." Cash said. "Good. Now, is this enough to buy the bracelet?" Fei asked. The bracelet she is talking is the jade bracelet with a lion on it. Unfortunately, the bracelet Essence is looking for. "Ohhh, this piece of jewelry? You mean, the one your trying to buy from me?" Cash asked back. "Stop teasing me. This better be enough because their is no way this won't get me it." Fei replied. "Well, good news, this is the proper amount....[Fei gasp in joy].....until I found out this is worth a lot more than I expected. It's now one million yuan. It's because of the.......crystal. Yep, the jade made for this is very rare. One of a kind." Cash said. Fei is now in anger. "What? This.......this is not fair. You told me that is worth five hundred thousand yuan that last time I stepped in here. After you told me it was worth twenty five hundred thousand yuan. And one that day, you told me it was worth one hundred yuan. This is just a scam for me to steal more you isn't it." Fei demanded. "What can I say. Just viewing the price according to it's prophet. Listen, kid. Come back when you have the right amount. Simple as making a rice ball." Cash replied. Fei gets in more anger. "SCREW YOU, CASH!!!!!!" Fei yelled as she storms away. "Cut the language, or I'll sell it someone more polite. Remember, one million yuan for the bracelet. That is if you can afford it." Cash replied as he laughs. Cash finds Tikki, and just like Fei, assumes its some plus toy. He puts her into the claw machine he has with all the other prizes. As Fei walks away, she expresses her anger. "[spoken in head as she walks]. Well, that didn't go according to plan. I should have known he would be greedy, and force me to do this. If only I can grab him by his throat, and show him how he made me feel. Anyway, the name is Fei. I bet you can describe me as a criminal, a thief, a scum. I get it. I know what I did was horrible, and I'm sick of doing it. Sadly, I have no choice. The bracelet Cash has believe it or not, is more important to me than anything in the world. Why? Well, if I don't get that bracelet back at all cost, I'll never be able to fulfill my destiny. My true purpose I serve in my life. To become the next in line. Too bad I have to do it like this. I'm not always the crooked crook you see me as. I'm often a caring person for those in need. That's what my Father told me. [sees a woman struggling to get up the chairs. Fei runs to her, and helps her up. The woman thanks her, and Fei smiles]. Every time I help someone, it brings joy to my face. Not because I want to be seen as a better person, but to do what is right in any situation. Even though I literally steal to get a piece of jewelry. Yes, that sounds hypocritical, but I'm sorry. I don't have any choice. I keep trying to find a better way to do this. There has to be a better way. There must be a better way." Fei said in her head as she walks away. Moving on, Marinette is walking with no items at hand. She is worried about where her Uncle is, and how she can get home. She has no idea how to get back. Plus with no kwami or miraculous at hand, there is no way she can leave without them. Marinette tries to ask locals for help because that's what someone would most likely do in this situation. But when Marinette ask people, she cannot understand them. Because they only speak Mandarin. Also, Marinette doesn't know Mandarin, so it makes it difficult for her to understand them. Mari thanks them for trying, before leaving. Still worried about how Tikki is. Meanwhile, Fei continues her path of being good. She sees a young boy, crying because he brought his ice cream. The boy's Mother tries to calm him down. Feeling sympathy, Fei goes and uses spare cash to buy an ice cream for the lad. Fei walks to the sad boy, and gives it to him. The boy smiles, as does the Mother, who thanks Fei for her kindness. Fei smiles, as she leaves the two. Marinette continues to ask for help. Starting to try pictures of her earrings, so that people may help her. No one seems to have seen them, expect one man. Marinette overexcites, as the man goes and gets them. But turns out, it is just a normal pair of earrings. Not the powerful jewels she is looking for. This upsets Marinette, as she leaves, and thanks the man for his help. Fei on the other hand continues her work for those in need. She finds a homeless man, lying the ground in sorrow. Once again feeling bad, Fei does what's right. She takes a few bucks from her pocket, and gives them to the poor man. The man sees her act of kindness, and thanks her a million for her care. Fei smiles again as she walks away. Unlike Fei, Marinette is feeling scared, and hopeless. She spend hours trying to find her stuff, and the sun is slowly starting to set. Marinette believes her Uncle must be terrified that she is not with him now. Marinette too feels terrified. At her losing her stuff, and now the ravager dog that scares Marinette to the ground, Marinette looks, and sees a growling dog staring right at her. She tries to stay calm, and pray that this must doesn't try to hurt her. The dog still doesn't keep it's eyes off Marinette. She prays the dog doesn't attack, but it's no use. The dog barks, and charges at a screaming Marinette. Before it can sink it's teeth in her, Fei takes a pipe, and the dog bites down on it. Fei pushes the dog away in an alleyway with a fence. Fei runs fast, and locks the gate. Preventing the dog from trying to hurt anyone. Marinette looks up, and sees how saved her. Fei turns around. "That was a close one. You alright?" Fei asked. "I'm......."I'm ok, but how on Earth did you do that? That was some bravery form you." Marinette asked. "Dogs don't scare me. Nothing really scares me. Here, take my hand." Fei replied offering her hand to Marinette. Marinette takes the starnger's hand, and Fei helps her up. "Well, thank you so much for helping me. I've been through a lot. I was here to celebrate my Uncle's birthday, before someone or something stole all of my stuff. [Fei then realizes that Marinette is no stranger. She is the same person she stole from]. And now I'm lost in Shanghai." Marinette said. "Oh my God. That sounds........horrible. I'm so sorry this had to happen to you." Fei replied feeling worried to the bone. "More than horrible. I'm so scared about where he thinks I am. As I am of trying to find my stuff, and find my way home. I tried asking for help, but despite their best efforts, it was no use. I just.......I just want to go home." Marinette said in a sad/worried way. Fei looks at the sad Marinette, and starts to feel bad from the girl she stole from. "[spoken in head]. Man, what have I done? I mean, I would expect the people I stole from to feel devastated, but I never took the time to think in their shoes. This girl doesn't deserve to be in this state. Especially one where she is about my age. What should I do though? If I help her, she might find out I'm the one who did this to her. But if I don't, she won't find her way back." Fei said in her head. "Thanks again for your help. I better be going now." Marinette replied as she starts to leave. Fei thinks for a moment, and comes to a decision. "Wait." Fei said as she runs to Marinette. Marinette turns around. "Listen, I can see your........pretty upset of this misfortune. So, I want to help you find your stuff." Fei said. "Really? You......you'll help me?" Marinette asked in shock. "Yes. I mean it." Fei replied. Marinette then gets overjoyed again at this new helping hand. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you. Sorry If I'm that energetic, but I truly need this help. Thank you so much." Marinette said. "Relax, it's ok. Let's go, before it gets too dark." Fei replied as the two girls go off.
Soon, Marinette and Fei go around asking for helping. Also trying to find her stuff. Since Fei knows Mandarin, she is able to speak to the people. Sadly, none of them know what she is talking about. Although they made almost zero progress, it makes Marinette happy someone is willing to come and help her. As for Fei, she is happy to help Mari, but finds it hard to feel that way. Considering she stole from her, and can literally take her to the place right now. Fei wants to because she feels like it is definitely the right thing to do. But at the same time, she doesn't because that might get her exposed. She can imagine how Mari would feel about that. She doesn't want that at all. The keep on looking, and looking, and looking, but they failed to find any of Mari's belongings. It starts to get really dark, as the full moon forms in the sky. Fei looks at the moon, and feels concerned. She is running out of time. But for what? They take a little break from their expedition, and gets some food at a ramen shop. "Here. This will make us feel better." Fei said as she gives the ramen to Marinette. Fei sits down next to Marinette on the ground, as the two eat the ramen. "Yum. It's nice that we get a chance to relax, after this adventure. I mean, we worked long and hard to find my stuff." Marinette said. "Yeah. I'm.....sorry we couldn't find your stuff. I hoped we can, but nope." Fei replied. "You don't need to say sorry. I mean, you offered to help me at a time like this. Without you, I don't think I would be here right now. And I'm saying that because that dog would have mauled me." Marinette said. "Thanks." Fei replied. "No, thank you for helping me." Marinette said. This has Fei smile for a second, as the two sit in a moment of silence. "You know, we've been together all day. Yet, you never knew my name. So, I think it's ok if I tell you who I am. I'm Marinette. I came here to celebrate my Uncle's birthday. I'm from Paris, and now I'm lost in the middle of Shanghai." Marinette said. Fei laughs. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to laugh at you. I just realized my ramen looks like some weird smiley face." Fei replied. Fei shows Marinette her ramen, and Mari can see what Fei means. "[giggles]. Yeah, I can see what you mean." Marinette said. Fei smiles and laughs, as does Marinette. "Well, if you told me your name, I'll tell you mine. I'm Fei, which means, to fly in the sky in Mandarin." Fei said. "Oh cool. Why did your parents choose Fei?" Marinette asked. Fei then freezes for a moment when Mari said parents. This has Fei close her eyes, and get visions of flames around her. "Hey, are you ok, Fei?" Marinette asked. "HUH? Oh, yeah. I'm fine. Sorry if I blacked out." Fei replied. "It's nothing. But did you hear what I said? Why did your parents choose Fei?" Marinette asked. "Oh............they choose it because...........they were pilots. Yep, they were pilots, and wanted me to follow in their shoes." Fei replied. "Your parents are pilots? Cool. My parents own a bakery, so I basically get baked good everyday when I wake up." Marinette said. "Oh no way. That sounds like fun. Is it true that croissants in Paris are a delicacy?" Fei asked. "There really good. Maybe someday you get to come to Paris, and try them. Hopefully not lose your stuff, and wind up on a bizarre chase that ends you up eating a croissant in the middle of nowhere in Paris." Marinette replied. Fei giggles again. "That would be fun. Not losing my stuff, going to Paris." Fei said. "Paris is a great city. As is Shanghai to you." Marinette replied. "Of course. On that topic, I assume you saw some of the stuff Shanghai has to offer. What does Paris have to offer not including the food?" Fei asked. "Good question. Well, we have the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe. We even have two superheroes named Ladybug and Cat Noir." Marinette replied. "Ladybug and Cat Noir? Like the ladybug and black cat? No offense, but that sounds very ridiculous." Fei said. "Their not ridiculous. Ladybug and Cat Noir have saved Paris countless times. Their probably the best superhero duo in the world." Marinette replied. "Sorry about that. Personally, it sounds weird to hear a black cat and ladybug superhero exist in the world. If anything, I would expect something like a hero with laser vision, or flight." Fei said. "Those would be cool powers. What about fire powers?" Marinette asked. "AHHHHHH, WHERE???" Fei screamed. "What? There is no fire. I just said fire powers." Marinette replied. "Sorry. I'm really, really not a fan of fire. It's a......scary enemy to me." Fei said. "You afraid of fire? But didn't you tell me you weren't afraid of anything?" Marinette asked. "I did? Oh yeah. I'm sorry, I lied. I just.......didn't want to sound like a scaredy cat." Fei replied as she feels scared. "There's no need to feel ashamed of that. Tell you what? Do you want to know what I'm afraid of? Spiders. I hate spiders. Those little eight legged freaks that crawl everywhere. [shivers]. One time, I was with my friends back home, I saw a spider, and my scream was so loud, someone called the police because they thought we were doing some crazy stuff." Marinette said. "Seriously, that's hilarious. Apologies if I sound like a jerk. I just find it funny how someone called the police because of your scream." Fei replied. "You don't sound like a jerk. Come to think of it, looking back, it was kind of funny. My friends won't stop reminding me of it. It's annoying, but somewhat nostalgic." Marinette said. "I can see that. Did you know in China you can eat fried spiders?" Fei asked. "[makes barf sounds]. That sound disgusting." Marinette replied. "It does in context, but in reality, it's not that bad. It kind of taste like chicken." Fei said. "You seem open to try crazy stuff." Marinette replied. "I have a creative pallet. That's not all I tried. I had a lot of crazy stuff before. Fried guinea pig, fried scorpions, fried bat, snake, and a lot more." Fei said. "At least you didn't try fried hamster. I love hamsters if you didn't know." Marinette replied. "Neat. Thankfully, I never had fried hamster. Though I bet it's possible." Fei said. "Yuck." Marinette replied. This had Fei laugh, and soon Marinette laughs as well. "[stops laughing, and spoken in head]. This Marinette chick isn't that bad. She's actually a funny sweet girl. It still hurts me that I can take her to her stuff now, but should I? I keep asking myself that question ever since I agreed to help her. [thinks]. But in the end, I finally found my answer." Fei said in her head. Marinette stops laughing. "Hey, Marinette. I just realized of a spot we can go to for your stuff. It's this pawn shop not far from here. We can go now, and see if it can help us." Fei said. "If you say that, then it's worth a shot. Let's go." Marinette replied as she gets up. Marinette walks, and as Fei joins her, she smiles at her new friend.
The two arrive at Cash's pawn shop. So Fei can help Mari get her stuff back. "Let me do all the talking ok. I know the guy who works here." Fei said. "Do you really think my earrings and other belongings could be here?" Marinette asked. "Probably. It's.....ummm......common in Shanghai that people give stuff they find to pawn shops for money. I don't do that of course." Fei replied. "Ok then, let's go." Marinette said. Marinette goes in, as Fei feels guilty for lying. Fei joins up with Mari, as they enter. Marinette goes to the front desk, and rings the bell. "Well, another customer. Hello miss, and.....Fei. My good friend." Cash said. "I told you I know him. Also he speaks English, so that's good. [clears throa]. Hey, Cash. [in a unhappy way]. Listen, my friend here is looking for her stuff, and I think it might be here." Fei replied. "You don't say? Tell me child, what are you looking for?" Cash asked. "I'm looking for my purse full of belongings. It's a small, round purse. My ID card should be in it. As well as my pair of earrings. Their small, round, and black." Marinette replied. "Interesting. And you think their here because....." Cash asked. "Well, my friend Fei told me if I would lose something, it would normally be at a pawn shop." Marinette replied. Cash stares at Fei, and he knows she lied to her. Fei stares back anger, but Cash keeps his wicked smile on his face. "I understand. Give me a minute in the back." Cash said as he goes back. As Marinette waits, Tikki sees her inside the claw machine. Meanwhile Fei, she goes to somewhere else in the shop. She looks around, until she manages to find similar earrings to the ones Mari was explaining. She takes them, and goes back to the front. "What were you doing back there?" Marinette asked. "Just looking around." Fei replied. Soon, Cash re-emerges from the back. "I assume this is what your talking about." Cash said. Cash lays out all of Mari's belongings, including her earrings. "Oh my God, YES!!!!!!!!! This is exactly what I'm looking for. And those are my earrings. Thank you, thank you, thank you, so much. You have no idea how special all of this is to me. Especially my earrings." Marinette screamed. "You don't say. Well then, because I'm a good person, I'll give you the other stuff back for free. The earrings? That would be one hundred thousand yuan." Cash replied. "What? One hundred thousand yuan. Isn't that a lot of money?" Marinette asked. "It is, but as a pawn shop owner, we investigate specific aspect of an item. These earrings here are actual made of a rare ruby. And of course, rubies are very rare in their own right. So, one hundred thousand yuan, or no earrings." Cash replied. Marinette starts to look concern, as Fei gets anger. She screams at Cash in Mandarin, as Cash laughs, and replies back in Mandarin. Marinette as no idea what they are saying, as she sits in this crossfire. "It's called business, kid. There is nothing wrong with that. Now, are you going to pay or what?" Cash asked. "Well............if you say their that valuable, then I have no choice. But I'm going to need to call someone for help." Marinette replied. She goes to grab here phone from her purse, bus unfortunately, it's dead. "Great. My phone's dead. Do you have one I can call The Thousands Delight restaurant?" Marinette asked. "I do, and you know that place?" Cash asked. "Yes, my uncle owns it." Marinette replied. "Well, tell him he is a great chef. You two stay here, I'll be back." Cash said as he leaves in the back. Fei notices the earrings laying right on the counter. Fei makes her moves, as she swaps the real earrings with the fake ones. "Fei, what are you doing?" Marinette asked. "Trust me. I will explain everything." Fei replied. Tikki, who saw this, makes her move. She quickly phrases out of the claw machine, and into Mari's purse, which is around her body now. "Ok, the number is..." Cash said. "Forget it. We don't need those earrings anyway. We'll just take the purse, and go." Fei said. "What?" Marinette whispered. Fei bumps Mari. "Oh, yeah. It's ok. Sorry I couldn't get my rare earrings back. It's no big deal. I'll just get a new pair of rare earrings. If I can find any." Marinette said. "Your lose. Have a good evening. Also, don't forget to see the red eclipse as well." Cash replied. The second Fei hears red eclipse, she realizes she totally forgot about it. She grabs Mari's hand, and runs with her. Cash however, notices something wrong. He sees that weird toy from before is missing. Confused, but he doesn't let it bother him. Cash focuses back in the earrings, but as he goes to put the back, he notices something else that is strange. "What a minute......[scraps earrings]......these aren't the earrings I was scamming that girl for. Hold on. [Cash runs to his earring part of his shop, and sees one pair missing]. Those brats. BOYS!!!!!!! We have crooks on the loose. Stop them, NOW!!!!!" Cash demanded. Three of his goons come out from the back, and run after the girls. Speaking of girls, Fei forces Marinette to go where they need to go. "I'm glad we got my stuff back, but where on Earth are you taking me?" Marinette asked. "There's no time to explain. I promise you I will. We just need to keep running." Fei replied. The two of them run through the alleyways and parts of Shanghai. They need to hurry before the eclipse starts. They make twisted turns, hop fences, with Fei helping Mari, and getting to the place at all cost. During their run, they manage to find a way out of the alleyways. But as they get closer, one of Cash's thugs blocks the exit. Fei and Marinette stop, as Cash's other two thugs appear behind them. They are holding pipes, or cracking their knuckles. All while looking sinister at the two girls. They start to walk closer to them, as Marinette gets scared. "Fei, wh.....what do we do? There is no where to go." Marinette panicked. "Keep calm, Marinette. All you need to do is stand back." Fei replied. "Stand back? But why?" Marinette asked. "Please, just trust me." Fei replied. The goons laugh, as they get in closer. The thug in front of them, the one with a pipe, is ready to hit them both. Marinette gasp in fear, as Fei stands her ground. "I'm wearing you all now, this is going to hurt." Fei said. Fei suddenly punches the thug with the pipe in the gut over then times. Fei then slams her foot on the thug's leg, as he drops his pipe. Fei grabs it, as she uses it to swing it into the thug's balls. Fei punches him in the face, before the thug falls to the ground. The other thugs and Marinette are shocked, but the thugs aren't scared. Fei then backflips over the thugs in slow mo, and lands perfect behind them. The thugs turn around, and go to fight Fei. Two on one, Fei engages in hand to hand combat with the thugs. With Fei blocking all their attacks. Fei goes from defense to offense, as she kicks one thing against a wall, so she can focus on the other. She punches him in the nose, pokes him in both eyes, goes on the ground, grabs both his legs, and flings him over his feet. The thug lands on his back hard, as the final thug gets back up. Just as the thug thinks he is about to get Fei, Fei literally kicks the thug across the face. Throwing him to the ground. Fei takes deep breathes, as Marinette questions what just happened. "Fei........what did you do?" Marinette asked in shock. "As I said, I promise I'll explain. I'm sorry you had to see this, but we need to go now." Fei replied as she grabs Marinette again. She waste no time stealing a bike, and getting both her and Marinette on it. Fei moves fast into the streets. Passing off cars, but she doesn't have time for this. She bikes as fast as she can through the streets. "Where are they you morons." Cash demanded as he joins his thugs. "There were here, but that Fei girl you tease took us out. She and her friend got away, sir." One thug replied. "Ugh!!!!!! Useless pawns. Forget it. I know exactly where she is going." Cash said as he looks at his bracelet.
Fei continues to storm her way with Marinette through the streets of Shanghai. Passing cars in her way, and running red lights. Marinette is terrified beyond belief, as she watches Fei speed demon her way through Shanghai. Their crazy race finally ends, as Fei presses on the brakes of their bike. They finally made it to their destination. Marinette takes deep breathes, as Fei gets off the bike. "You, have a lot, of explaining, to do." Marinette said as she breathes. "I do, but first, we must go inside." Fei replied. Marinette stops her deep breathes, as she sees where they are. Fei brought Marinette to some burnt down giant temple like place. Marinette is both confused and a bit scared as well. She gets off the bike, and stands next to Fei. "What........what is this place, Fei?" Marinette asked. Mari notices Fei standing still again. Looking at the burnt place on fear. Fei then gets more fire flashes and visions in her head. It scares Fei. "Fei, what's wrong? You don't look so good." Marinette asked. "I'm fine. Let's........just go. Now, please." Fei replied. Fei enters the burnt place, as does Marinette. Inside, they are still exposed to the outside, but it an absolute mess inside. One key aspect is the waterfall in the back. As Fei looks around the place, she is struck with more flashes of fire. It huts Fei hard everywhere she looks. Marinetti on the other hand is confused to why Fei brought her here. Fei then stops in the middle of the place. She shakes. Shakes in a paralyzed terror. "Fei?" Marinette asked. Suddenly, Fei starts to shed tears. She starts to cry. Feeling agony for some unknown reason. Marinette hears Fei, and steps in front of her. Marinette sees that her friend is now crying. "Fei. What's the matter? Why are you crying?" Marinette asked in concern. "[sheds more tears]. I'm sorry, Marinette. I didn't expect how hard this would be for me." Fei replied as she cries more with her head down. "There is seriously something upsetting you. I hate to see you suffer like this. I can help you with what's wrong. So please Fei, let me help you." Marinette said. Mari lift's Fei's head, and wipes the tears off her face. "Thank you......Marinette." Fei replied. "Oh poor Fei. Crying over some trash school. Why won't you mature, and get over it." Cash said as he enters the place. Fei turns around, and gets into a fighting position. "I'm warning you, Cash. Get out of here, before I kick your butt." Fei replied. "Pathetic child. You think you can stop me? Please." Cash said. "Wait, how did you find us here? How did you know we'll be here?" Marinette asked. "I think Fei knows the answer to that question. Why don't you tell her, Fei? Tell her the reason why your here." Cash replied. Fei loses her confidence. "Fei? What is he talking about?" Marinette asked. "What? I....I don't know. He's talking nonsense." Fei replied. "Nonsense? Assuming. You want to hear nonsense, kid? The fact your so called "friend" is the reason you have been wandering all over Shanghai. Why? Because she is the thief who stole from you, and brought it to me." Cash said as he laughs. Marinette gets a gun shot of shock. "Marinette. I'm so sorry. I had no choice. I would have told you everything." Fei said. "No choice. No choice. This entire time I thought you were trying to help me, but you ended up being the cause of my misfortune. How.......why would you do something like that to me?" Marinette asked as she cries. "Listen, Marinette. I understand you probably hate me now, but I need to get that bracelet back. [points at bracelet]. Plus, I never knew it would end you up lost in Shanghai." Fei replied trying to solve this. "So what? You think no one would panic if they lost their valuables? You really think that?" Marinette asked in tears. "Of course not. I......I.......[starts to cry again]....I lose everything, Marinette." Fei replied. Marinette freezes in a bit of shock. "I have nothing. No home, no friends, no parents. All of it, gone." Fei said. "You lost everything? What do you mean?" Marinette asked. "[sheds tears]. If I'm going to tell you, I have to start from the beginning. [in flashback]. Years ago, a man once lived on these ground. It was a big, and well organized Kung fu school. The man was the school's teacher, but he was also.......the guardian of The Prodigious. [in the cave behind waterfall]. Once every ten years, a red solar eclipse comes to Shanghai. Many interpret it as a once in a decade event. Others see it as a reason to come to Shanghai. All of them never knew what that eclipse truly meant. One this day, the eclipse would be one of the two keys to achieving power beyond anything in the world. The Prodigious. The other key is a bracelet. A jade lion bracelet. With the power of the moon light, and the bracelet as both keys, it would allow one to get The Prodigious. The teacher at the school was assigned to watch over both jewels. To make sure no one evil would get them. Of course, there was one. [man's students leave his school]. One day, a mysterious man was trying to force the man to sell his school, so he can get his bracelet. [mysterious man pays students]. That mysterious stranger was the biggest scumbag right here, Cash. He wanted what the teacher had, but he refused to give up. Months passed, and Cash continued to try to get him to leave, but even with nothing, the man stood his ground. During this course of time, the man was worried on what will happen to him in the future. Who will protect The Prodigious, and the bracelet. Who will be there if he's gone. He started to lose hope. Until, a miracle came. [the man hears a baby crying. The man gets up, to see what it is]. That is when the man met me. [the man finds a baby in front of his doorstep]. And that man I met, soon would be called, Father. [baby looks at man, and smiles]. My Father took me in, and raised me as his own. He cared for me like any loving dad would for his child. I went from a baby, to an energetic little kid, to a soon well trained Kung fu fighter as a teenager. [both train outside]. He wanted me to not only become a good fighter, a good person, and a good daughter. But he wanted me to become the next guardian of The Prodigious. Once he passes away. Sadly, Cash was still there to bring us out. Unlike my Father, who tried to ignore Cash, I hated him. Just trying to destroy our home, and steal from us is disgusting. I wanted to use my training to teach him a lesson, but my Father told me that revenge is not the key to justice. He wanted me to stay truthful to the human values. I still hated Cash, but my Father was right. I kept in my anger, as Cash continued his ways. However, I still wanted to make Cash suffer beyond any limits in the end. All thanks to what despicable thing he did to me. The thing that ruined my entire life. One night, my Father and I were asleep. It was going peacefully, until I started to smell smoke. I woke up, and ran to the scent. Soon, I found my greatest fear. [sees entire home on fire]. I panicked as I ran to find my Father to get out. I had to go through a burning part of my home to save him, and get out. I had no choice. I powered through. Smoke consuming my lungs. Fire lashed on my skin. But I had to save my Father. I looked everywhere in my burning home. Avoiding flames, and sparkles. Eventually, he found me. [hugs Fei]. We tried to get out of our home, but the roof started to fall down on us. It was raining flaming wood. Everywhere I looked I felt traumatized. I started to freak out. I started to cry. I was so scared. And that's when.........I lost the only one who loved me. [Fei's Dad gives her the bracelet, before he pushes her away from him. A beam of flaming wood crushed Fei's Dad. Fei screams Father, before she knows she has to leave]. I managed to escape, and I watched as my entire home burned to pieces. It was the most devastating, horrifying thing I have ever seen in my life. [her home then explodes. Blowing Fei away]. The flash knocked me out, as I laid their all night. When I woke up, I officially lost everything. My family, my home, and even my bracelet. [Fei screams no, as we see her home turn into the place they are now. End flashback]. Once I found out Cash was the one responsible for what happened to my life, I grew an undying passion to making him pay. I swear. The amount of stuff I wanted to do to him would have made me feel so happy. He would deserve it for ruining my life. I found him, and demanded for the bracelet. I wanted it, but Cash waged it at a massive price. Because I had no money, I had to get it in another way. Stealing. I stole from innocent people, so I can get the bracelet back and avenge my legacy. At the same time, I knew what I was doing was wrong. But I had to in order for me to protect what my Father was protecting. That's why I stole from you, Marinette. So I can make sure no one gets a hold of a power that can make them invincible." Fei replied. Marinette is speechless. Speechless at the fact this was Fei's home, and Cash destroyed it. "Oh my God. How could you do something so unforgivable?" Marinette asked in anger. "What can I say? If one wants something, they must do whatever it takes to achieve it. Besides, whose going to believe some crying teen. Enough of this. Your calling your uncle right now, so he can give me the money you owe." Cash demanded. "Never. You don't deserve any money from me anyway. I bet these aren't real rubies as well." Marinette said. "Of course their not. It's called being scammed, idiot. Now, call uncle NOW!!!!!!" Cash demanded. "I told you, never. You won't get away with this." Marinette replied. "Oh yeah. Whose going to stop me?" Cash asked as he laughs. "Probably the man standing right behind you right now." Essence replied. Cash stops laughing, turns around, and is frightened. Fei is confused, as Marinette is surprised. Essence and his clawers are now at the burnt school. "So, this is the man who holds the jade lion bracelet? Looks like a weak punching bag." Essence said. "I'll have you know, I'm....." Cash replied. Essence interrupts Cash by punching him in the nose, and kicking him against a pole of the building. Cash falls to the ground. "See, weak punching bag." Essence said. Essence takes the bracelet off Cash, as his clawers pick up the greedy man. Essence looks at his new bracelet, and the moon. "The time has almost come. Soon, I will finally have what I came here for." Essence said. "Bracelet? Wait, don't tell me. Your after The Prodigious." Fei replied. "Impressive. Never knew there was someone else who knows more than this jewel than anyone." Essence said. "Cute. But there's no way your going to get it." Fei replied. She charges at Essence, much to Marinette's dismay. Fei goes to jump kick Essence, but he stands still. As Fei is about to kick Essence in the face, Essence grabs Fei's leg, swings her around, and chucks her against the ground. "Grab her." Essence ordered. The clawers hold Fei, just like they are doing to Cash. "We wasted enough time here. Let's go." Essence said. "Master, what about the blue haired one?" Clawer asked. Essence looks at Marinette. "Hmmmmm, you can go kill her. She's nothing to our plan." Essence replied. "Yes, master." The clawer said. He unleashes his claws, as Marinette watches in fear. The robot charges at Marinette, who runs away. Essence laughs, as Fei tries to get out. She is unable to free herself from the clawer's arms. Fei along with Cash are taken with Essence and his clawers. Marinette runs from the menacing machine, but the clawer is way too fast for Mari to out run. The clawer tries to slash Marinette, but she barely dodges. The clawer turns around fast, and kicks Marinette in the gut. The robot then grabs her, and slams Marinette to the ground. The clawer gets on top of her, as it sharpens it's claws. "Night night." Clawer said. The clawer is about to slaughter Marinette, but Marinette cannot allow that. She sees and grabs a rock, and bashes the clawer's head with it. As the clawer sparkles on the ground, Marinette gets on top of the robot. She bashes it's head into a million pieces. Until there is no function in the robot. Marinette takes deep breathes. "Well, at least it wasn't a human." Tikki said as she flies out. Marinette screams. "Woah, what's wrong?" Tikki asked. "TIKKI!!!!!! [hugs Tikki]. I've been worried sick? I thought I'll never see you again." Marinette replied as she let's go. "I'm fine, Marinette. I'm happy to see you as well. But do you have your miraculous?" Tikki asked. Marinette shows Tikki the miraculous in her purse. "Awesome." Tikki said. "Hold up. Were you in my purse the whole time, after I got it back?" Marinette asked. "Umm, yeah." Tikki replied. "WHAT??? Why didn't you talk to me earlier?" Marinette asked. "Do you want Fei to know your Ladybug?" Tikki asked back. "Oh, fair point. Wait, FEI!!!!! Essence is here too, Tikki. Whatever this Prodigious is, Essence must want it too. We cannot allow that to happen. Tikki, spots on." Marinette said as she transforms into Ladybug.
Back with Essence, he and his clawers are approaching the waterfall. They go behind it, and face a stone wall. Essence then takes his hand, and moves it on the stone of the wall. He keeps moving, until he finds one Unparticularly stone. Essence pushes down on it, and soon, a secret door opens. "Unbelievable." Essence said. He and his clawers move into the cave. They then find themselves in a spiraling dragon staircase going down. The walls are now full of colored crystals. Essence goes down with his minions and captives. With Essence being fascinated at the sight of all of this. Eventually, they make it to the bottom of the staircase, and into the cavern the Fei's Dad was at in the flashback. "We have our two keys in place on time. It will take a couple of minutes for the eclipse to happen. Make sure they don't pull any moves. I want zero interruptions while we're down here." Essence ordered. "Why do you have us anyway?" Cash asked. "To make sure Ladybug doesn't stop me this time." Essence replied. "Ladybug? Like, that weird French superhero from Paris?" Fei asked. "You know her too? Looks like we have a lot in common Miss.....uhhh." Essence replied. "Fei. It's Fei." Fei said. "Well, Fei, call me, Essence. Soon the new holder of two powerful miraculous." Essence replied. "Miraculous?" Fei asked. "So, you don't know that. In other words, miraculous grant one an extraordinary amount of power. It consist of a jewel, a flying animal creature named a kwami, and a specific key word. Ladybug has a miraculous, and I need it. So thanks to the Jade Lion miraculous, and The Prodigious, I'll have a huge amount of power at my disposal to crush her. As well as the other heroes she has." Essence replied. "You'll never get them." Fei said. "Hahaha. Big words from the kid literally held hostage. Speaking of hostage, did I hear this man burned your entire home, killed your Father, and stole this bracelet from you?" Essence asked. Fei looks at Cash, and says, "Yes." "Well, this is going to be fun. I also might recall you saying you want revenge on Cash for what he did right? So allow me to help." Essence said. Essence pulls out a hunter's knife. "Let Fei go." Essence ordered. The clawers obey him. Fei is get free, but not for long. "Take this knife, and make Cash pay for what he did. The clawers will make sure he won't try to resist you." Essence said. Cash is now scared beyond belief, as Fei looks at the knife. "Wait, your.....ok with me......killing him?" Fei asked. "Of course. As long as it's brutal. Like a few stabs to the heart, a throat slit, or maybe, taking his own head off." Essence replied. Cash is now even more scared. Fei sees this not as something she should avoid, but something she has been waiting for. Fei gets up, and walks to Cash. "Fei. My friend. Listen, there is a better way to solve my little crimes." Cash begged. "Little. Did destroying everything I love was a little crime? WAS IT? [slaps Cash in the face]. You have been nothing but a cruel, manipulative, greedy demon in this world. Forcing me to steal for you, so you can get your heart's greatest desire. Money. Lots and lots of money. Moreover, scamming me, so I can steal more from you. Me. The girl whose life YOU ruined. I bet you knew take the time to think, wow, what I did was terrible, or does Fei deserve this. But NO!!!!!! All you care about is making money, and yourself. I've been waiting to do something like this ever since I saw you, and I'm going to smile watching you suffer. Just like you did to me." Fei replied. Fei raises the knife into the air right above Cash's head. Cash is frozen in terror, as he closes his eyes to not see his demise. Fei takes anger deep breathes, as she shakes the knife in her hands. She stares at Cash, excited to finally make him pay. But as Fei looks at the scared Cash, she cannot bring herself to do it. She ask why can't she kill him? What's holding her back? Fei then gets a flash of good memories. One's with her Father. She thinks back to when he raised her as a baby. Fei the remembers all the training she did to be a Kung fu pro. She remembers all the fun times they had at dinner, or in general. All the bonding they did. And especially, what Fei's Father told her. Revenge doesn't bring justice. Fei's Father's words hit Fei, as she realizes this is wrong. Fei drops the knife. "What's wrong? Aren't you going to give him a bloody death?" Essence asked. "No. I was wrong. Wrong about everything. I've been more focused on revenge and stealing that I forgot who I truly am deep inside. I'm someone who was trained the human values. Someone who wants to help other's in need. Someone who will be worthy of being the next guardian. Cash, I still hate you, but disobeying my Father's orders is what I hate most. Yes, you ruined my life, made me an orphan again, etc, but murdering you here won't make anything better." Fei said. There is silence in the cave now. "Huh? Your more softer than I thought. [signs]. It's ok..........I can do it for you." Essence said. Essence walks, grabs the knife, goes in front of Cash, and slits Cash's throat open. Fei gasp in horror, as blood gushes out of Cash's throat. They all watch as Cash gags, before falling to the ground dead. Rather than feeling guilt, Essence giggles, and laughs up a storm. "What? You think this is a joke?" Fei asked. "Are you kidding me? It's the funniest thing I can think of." Essence replied. Fei soon gets anger at Essence for doing that. She goes to stop him because that is the right thing to do. Sadly, his clawers grab her, and hold her down. "Oh, Fei. I can see your not the murdering type. No biggie. You never had the balls to kill him anyway." Essence said as he punches Fei in the gut. The moon outside then starts to turn red. The eclipse is starting. "At long last. It's finally happening." Essence said. Fei is forced to watch her failure come to life. The red moonlight shines down onto the crystals. They bounce around, before it's beamed at a stone wall across the room. Essence is already there, and he watches his dream come true. The stone soon opens a hole in the wall. One with the same jade lion symbol on the bracelet. Essence takes it, and puts it onto the hole. Once there, a powerful bright green light comes out the wall. And then, a giant lion figure emerges. Essence looks, and sees the giant. "Greetings human. I am Mei Shi. The Lion protector of The Prodigious. If you are worthy of it's power, put it around your neck, and fight me." Mei Shi ordered. "With pleasure." Essence replied. Essence walks into the cave, and he finds the Prodigious Box. Essence is happy, as he picks the box up, and opens it. As he does, Essence comes face to face with The Prodigious. "There it is. The one and only Prodigious. Oh, and an extra spot underneath it. Probably for my bracelet." Essence said(in the movie, the box turns to dust as Hawkmoth touches it. In this version, the box doesn't get destroyed. There is also a place for the Jade Lion miraculous/bracelet to go, since here it's also part of the box. So The Prodigious Box holds two miraculous. The Prodigious and the Jade Lion). "Stop wasting time, and put The Prodigious on now." Mei Shi ordered. "The only one wasting time is you. I only came here for the box, and it's two jewels. [takes back bracelet]. Pleasure doing business with you, and have a good evening." Essence replied. "Wait, you can't do that. That's not in the rules." Mei Shi said. Ladybug the emerges, appearing behind the clawers. "Too bad, but the rules have been changed. I only came down to this majestic cave to seek out this. I got what I wanted, so no need to annoy me." Essence said. "If that's the case, then I will fight you now to get it back." Mei Shi replied. "Ha, try me. You may be taller than me, but I have all the skills needed to stop anyone in my way. Isn't that right, Ladybug." Essence said. He turns around to Ladybug, as does all his clawers and Fei. "I should have known you'll be here. After NYC, I've been keeping a sharp eye out for you. I still don't get how you miraculously show up to ruin my plans in another country." Essence said. "Well, you should know we will always win in the end, Essence. Let me guess, after another miraculous?" Ladybug asked. "Two actually. And a whole box." Essence replied. "Congrats on that, but once again, your going to have to return that back. So, do what the lion said, and give it to him." Ladybug said. "Like the confidence. Too bad I'll be there to shatter it. Clawers." Essence replied as he snaps his fingers. The clawers holding Fei hold their claws against her throat. Ladybug gasp. "I'm playing the game different this time, Ladybug. I brought a hostage to the party. Now your going to listen to me. Your will walk away from this place, or else I'll have the clawers tear her neck to pieces. Which is worse than what I did to the greedy dude right there." Essence said. Ladybug looks at Cash's dead body. She is frightened. "I can see your disgusted. It would have been better if you where here. I mean, knife beautifully cutting through his skin. It was a sight to see." Essence said as he laughs. Fei looks at Cash's body, and is horrified. "Now Ladybug, what's your decision? Leave, or watch another one get the throat treatment?" Essence asked. Ladybug looks around to see what she can do. All she sees it a cave spike over Essence. "Yes, I have a decision." Ladybug replied. She throws her yo-yo around the cave spike, pulls it, and the piece of stone falls to Essence. He notices, and dodges the attack. As dust fills the room, Ladybug takes out the clawers holding Fei. She destroys them with her yo-yo. Ladybug then goes to Fei. "Your Ladybug? My friend, Marinette told me all about you." Fei said. "Uhhh, that's cool. Listen, you have to leave now. I'll take care of Essence." Ladybug replied. "What about The Prodigious?" Fei asked. "I'll be fine. Just leave." Ladybug replied. Essence gets up. "Stop her now!" Essence ordered. The last two clawers go after Ladybug. The slash at her, but he front flips over them. The clawers turn around to fight her, as Fei watches. Ladybug continues to dodge the clawers slashes. Doing flips, or slides underneath them. Bored, Ladybug kills both robots with her yo-yo. "Pfff, that was easy. You should do a better job with programming your robots." Ladybug said. "Maybe you should do a better job trying to be an actual memorable superhero." Essence replied. He charges at Ladybug, who uses her yo-yo to block his sword strikes. Essence attacks more and more, but Ladybug stands her ground. Essence thinks fast, and throws his smoke bombs against Ladybug's feet. It blinds Ladybug, who is coughing at the smoke, and Essence takes this chance to strike. He grabs Ladybug, and uppercuts her in the gut. He picks her up, before throwing her against the ground. As the smoke settles, Essence charges at Ladybug. He slashes at Ladybug, but she dodges his attacks. She throws her yo-yo at Essence. Big mistake. Essence grabs it, pulls Ladybug in, and kicks her in the face. Ladybug rolls on the ground, as Essence back flips in front of Ladybug. He slams on her back, before grabbing her face, and pressing her against a wall. Fei watches all of this, and refuses to let Ladybug suffer. She runs, as Essence goes to get her earrings. Fei kicks Essence, only for him to grab her foot again. Essence turns to Fei. "Though I appreciate the passion, you should have learned not to mess with me." Essence said. He throws Fei against the stairs to where Mei Shi are. Ladybug acts fast, and kicks Essence off of her. Ladybug wraps her yo-yo around Essence, and as she tightens, The Prodigious Box is seen by Fei. She gets up, runs, grabs it, and runs away. "NO!!!!!!" Essence screamed. "Huh? Guess she should have stayed after all." Ladybug replied. Ladybug uses her yo-yo to spin Essence. Essence falls to the ground, as Ladybug runs away too. Essence gets up, and is in rage. Essence's rage is soon seen with laughter. "Fools. They may have my box, but I still have my bracelet." Essence said as he pulls the bracelet out of his pocket. "Hey! Those two must come back. I need to determine who is worthy of wearing The Prodigious." Mei Shi replied. "Don't worry my friend, you will." Essence said. Essence puts the bracelet on, and points his open hand to Mei Shi. The Lion Guardian then starts to feel pain in his body. A powerful, crapping pain in his body. Essence continues to hurt Mei Shi with no mercy. Mei Shi gags in pain. "Mei Shi, shriek the power." Essence said. The bracelet Essence is wearing shines, as does Mei Shi'a body. Mei Shi's body starts to disappear into a green smoke. That smoke then goes into the bracelet. It starts sparking up. Releasing power into Essence. Essence screamed yes over and over, until he is met with a bright green flash.
Fei continues to run with The Prodigious Box in her hands. She leaves her burnt home to find a place to hide. She runs to an alleyway far away from her home. Praying no one would find her there. She takes deep breathes, as she rest. "Are you alright?" Ladybug asked as she finds Fei. Fei screams in terror. "Oh crap. You scared the crap out of me. I thought you were that masked dude." Fei replied. "His name is Essence, and I'm sorry about that. I needed to find you, so I can make sure this Prodigious is ok." Ladybug said. "Well good news, here it is. Safe and sound. [deep breathes]. Sorry, I just cannot get over the fact he slit a guy's throat open." Fei replied as she panics. "Yeah. I know about that. I just never seen him to do it before. Do......do you think your going to be alright?" Ladybug asked. "Probably not, but let's hope. Ok, so your that Ladybug from Paris. [looks at LB]. No offense, I thought you'll look better." Fei replied. "Hey? What's wrong with a red suit, and black dots? Perfectly shows a ladybug." Ladybug said. "Whatever. [deep breathes]. So, why are you here? To stop that Essence guy?" Fei asked. "Pretty much, yeah. Whatever happens, he cannot get this miraculous." Ladybug replied. "Understood. Wait, oh no." Fei said. "What?" Ladybug asked. "I don't have my bracelet. The one Cash stole from me. Did.......did Essence say that too was a miraculous?" Fei asked back. "Ladybug thinks. [flashback to what Essence said]. Two actually. [end flashback]. Yes. Then.....that means." Ladybug replied. Ladybug and Fei soon hear an explosion. They go to see what is up. When Ladybug takes Fei to a rooftop for a better view, they are terrified at what they see. The Bund, and all it's other memorable monuments on fire. Chaos is rooming into the streets. People are running away from the one who is causing this destruction. Essence, now equipped with the Jade Lion miraculous. The weapon for this miraculous is a jade dadao. With it, Essence is able to create jade energy blast, that he uses to destroy the city. Proven as he uses his new power to slice the Oriental Pearl Tower in half. Sending the top of it hurdling into the water. The more Essence attacks, the more fire that spreads. It's seen as a traumatizing sight. Especially since this reminds Fei of her home being destroyed. "He must have uses that miraculous to become more powerful. It's ok. My partner and I dealt with Essence using a miraculous before, and he regretted using it." Ladybug said. Ladybug then looks at Fei, who is frozen in fear. "Fei? Are you alright?" Ladybug asked. Fei wakes up from her frozen position. "Oh, I'm alright. Wait, you know my name?" Fei asked back. "I do.....I mean.....your friend, Marinette told me it. I saved her from a clawer who was trying to get her. She is safe now, but first, we need to take Essence out." Ladybug replied. "We?" Fei asked. "Of course. I have my miraculous. You have The Prodigious. Two against one." Ladybug replied. "Oh, well......I'm not sure about this." Fei said. "You'll do amazing. Marinette also told me about your awesome Kung fu moves. If you need more time, it's ok. You can meet up with me. I'll see you out there, Fei." Ladybug replied as she leaves. Fei looks at The Prodigious Box, and the fire out there. Essence continues laughing as he destroys Shanghai. Enjoying every second of wreaking havoc on the city. "Nice new look, Essence. [Essence turns around, as Ladybug lands in front of him]. I think this one outshines your last outfit." Ladybug said. "Well, if it isn't my favorite insect. The Eagle miraculous only helped my clawers. The Jade Lion, it will help me crush you." Essence replied. "We'll see about that. Once the new holder of The Prodigious is here, you'll want to run away in fear. With our might, we will stop you, and reclaim Mei Shi." Ladybug said. "New holder of The Prodigious? Intriguing. So, where is this new hero? I would love to met him or her." Essence replied. "She'll be here soon. It's just you and me now." Ladybug said. "Fine by me. Too bad Cat Noir couldn't join us. But then again, I would love to see his face as he finds out the love of his life died by my hands." Essence replied. Essence charges up more jade blast from his sword, and sends them to Ladybug. She barrel rolls flips them, and throws her yo-yo to Essence. Essence is not falling for that trick again, so he jumps over it, and sends another jade blast to Ladybug. Ladybug runs out of the way, and dodges the attack. She runs around Essence, as he sends more jade blast her way. Ladybug flips and slides, to not get hit. Essence goes for a new plan, and jade blast the ground to spread dust into Ladybug. Then, he jade blast a building close to where Ladybug is. The blast sends debris to Ladybug, who is blinded. When she sees the debris, she knows she needs to run. So she does, trying to navigate herself through the dust. Soon, she is able to get out with no damage at all. That is, until Essence charges, and kicks Ladybug against another building. Ladybug gets up, to avoid Essence trying to stomp his boot on her. Ladybug throws her yo-yo, but Essence bends back to dodge it in slow mo. Out of slow mo, Essence rolls out of the way, and sends a jade blast that directly hits Ladybug. Ladybug feels the pain of the jade. "What's wrong? Don't like the power of the Jade Lion?" Essence asked. "No. I've expressed worse pain." Ladybug replied. Ladybug brings back her yo-yo, and runs to Essence. She jumps, and goes to kick Essence from above. Essence blocks it with his blade. He pushes Ladybug off, as he goes to slash her with his weapon. Ladybug dodges the attacks barely, as Essence speeds his way towards her. Essence scores a point, as he kicks Ladybug to the ground. He goes to stomp on her, but Ladybug rolls out of the way. She attempts to swing her yo-yo against Essence's face, but he ducks. Essence plays dirty, and uses smoke bombs to blind her. With Ladybug blinded again, Essence waste no time attacking. He grabs Ladybug, and starts punching her in the face. Over, and over smacking her across the face. Essence then chucks her, and Ladybug rolls against the ground. Essence charges again, but Ladybug throws her yo-yo and wraps it around Essence's foot. Ladybug pulls back, as Essence falls on his back. Ladybug then makes Essence pay, as she chucks him to the Orietnal Pearl Tower. What's left of it. On a super surprising note, Essence lands on the side of the damaged tower, presses off it, and hurdles his way back to Ladybug. Ladybug is shock, as Essence summons more jade blast to her. They mission their way to out main hero, as Ladybug tries to escape them. The jade blast are too fast, and they start to create explosions around her. Ladybug is so focused on the blast, that she doesn't see Essence tackling her to the ground. Ladybug is able to get him off of her, as Essence slides his way back on the ground. "Just face it, Ladybug. I'm still too strong for you to handle. Neither you nor you so called new owner of The Prodigious are a match for my power." Essence said. Ladybug gets up. "Wait, where is she?" Ladybug asked realizing Fei hasn't shown up. "Met me guess? He or she is too scared to fight. Huh? Is the new hero too much of a baby to show his or her face? Pffff, I'm going to enjoy slicing your limbs off one by one, before I go for your head. Maybe when I get your miraculous, I can put it on a stake for a trophy of my success here in Shanghai." Essence said as he laughs. Ladybug thinks for a moment. "Uhhhhh, I'll be right back." Ladybug replied as she leaves the fight. "Hmmmm, I could go after her, but I want some entertainment to this battle." Essence said. Essence goes back to destroying Shanghai, as Ladybug goes to find Fei.
Ladybug returns to where she last saw Fei. On the rooftop. When Ladybug arrives, she sees that Fei is not there. "Fei. Fei. FEI!!!" Ladybug said. Ladybug soon hears crying coming from around a chimney. Curious, she goes to see what is up. When Ladybug looks around the chimney, she finds Fei. On the ground, crying with The Prodigious Box in her hands. "What? Fei. Why are you crying?" Ladybug asked. Fei lifts her head up to see Ladybug. "The real question you should ask yourself is why are you looking for me? I'm nothing, but a waste of space to you and for everyone." Fei replied as she cries. Ladybug sits down next to her. "Why would you say that?" Ladybug asked. "Because all of this is my fault. Everything that has happened is my fault." Fei replied. "No, that's not true at all." Ladybug said. "Of course it's true. There's no denying it. If I just found a better way to get the bracelet, I wouldn't have gotten my friend Marinette in trouble. I wouldn't be the one who caused her downfall, Essence getting the bracelet, getting me and Cash taken away, Cash's death, everything. People are probably dead out there, and I'm the one who caused it. And what's the point of me using The Prodigious? I betrayed all the human virtues, my Father's teaching, everything. I don't deserve to wear this miraculous, nor be called a guardian of anything. I'm just a sinful individual." Fei replied as she cries more. Ladybug sees Fei is not doing so fresh when it comes to her guilt. She needs to do something. "Your not what you think you are. Yes, you did steal, but I learned your more than that. Marinette told me all about it. How you saved her from that dog, when you offered to help get her stuff back, when you decided to do the right thing, and go to where her belongings are to get them back. Deep down, you are a good individual, who knows the human virtues. You just need to believe you are that person." Ladybug said. "But does that excuse the fact that I'm a thief?" Fei asked in sorrow. "Well, no. But that does not mean you will always be seen as a thief. If that is what you want. You have control on who you want to be. If you want to be a thief, be a thief. If you want to be a good fighter, be a good fighter. If you want to be the guardian of The Prodigious, be the guardian. You choose who you want to be Fei. It's all up to you." Ladybug replied. Fei sheds tears off her face, and thinks. She looks at The Prodigious Box, and then to Ladybug. Ladybug has the confidence Fei can do this. Fei sees that, and she stops crying. "Ok. [gets up]. Let's go stop this guy." Fei said. Ladybug smiles, happy Fei is back in action.
Back with Essence, he is destroying more of Shanghai at The Bund. Laughing at the sight of this new destroyed city. "HEY!!!!! [Essence turns around]. Put that blade down, and stop destroying Shanghai." Fei demanded. "Ahhh, if it isn't Fei. The girl whose enemy's throat I slit. I'm surprised you had the guts to come back to me." Essence said. Fei gets flashes to when Essence killed Cash, and it hits her. "Don't let him into your head. He'll make you afraid. Stand your ground." Ladybug whispered. Fei, hearing these words, takes a deep breath. "I came back to do what I want to be. Reclaim my bracelet, and become.......the guardian of The Prodigious. That's what I want, and your not going to stop me." Fei replied. "Nice." Ladybug said. "So, your the new holder of The Prodigious Ladybug was bragging to me about. I must say, your a wise choice. Because it was wise for an embarrassment of a child to go up against me. I'll easily be able to get The Prodgious back, and walk away with what's mine." Essence replied. "Say what you want, but your not going to anywhere, until I get my bracelet back." Fei said. "Oh really? Try to take it from me." Essence replied. "It would be my honor. Ladybug, stand back. I'll handle this." Fei said. Ladybug does that, as Fei and Essence commence the final battle. Fei pulls out The Prodigious, and is ready to do what's right. She puts it around her neck, as eight animal lights shine on the jewel. Suddenly, red energy comes out of The Prodigious. It goes all over Fei, who is amazed at what is happening. The power if coursing through her veins. The time has finally come. Just then, a massive explosion consumes Fei. Smoke blinds Ladybug and Essence. When the smoke settles, both hero and villain see what happened to Fei. She is no longer Fei, but now, Ladydragon. Ladybug is so happy for Fei, as Essence starts to get impressed. All of the sudden, Fei is greeted by eight small individuals. "Greetings Ren Ren." All eight renlings said. "I'm sorry, Ren Ren?" Ladydragon asked. "Correct. A Ren Ren is the one who wears the almighty Prodigious." Tul Tul replied(also, Tul is actually Longg, from The Prodigious. I changed his name because Longg is also the name for Kagami's kwami. Which I honestly don't get why the show did that. So, I changed it to just Tul). "Hey, who are you talking to?" Ladybug asked because she sees no one around Fei. "I....I'm not sure. Some creatures who are floating. And they are an animal for some reason." Ladydragon replied. "Very interesting. Their called renlings. Cousins to kwamis. Kwamis are what give miraculous holders, like Ladybug, their power to be heroes. These are just kwamis, but as spirts." Essence said explaining Ladydragon. "So, your called renlings?" Ladydragon asked. "Yes. Eight embodiments of the human values. Also, you are the only one who can see or hear us because your wearing The Prodigious." Hou Hou replied. "Ok, enough introduction. Let's get this over with." Essence said. He charges to Ladydragon, and goes to slash her. Ladydragon jumps over Essence attack, and goes to kick him. Essence ducks, before turning around, and kicking Ladydragon in the gut. "If you need help, we are here for you." She She said. Essence attacks again, but Ladydragon dodges. "Ok, how?" Ladydragon asked. "We can turn you into a different animal of you choosing. Only based on the human values you are worthy of." She She explained. Essence sends jade blast to Ladydragon, but she front flips her way to safety. "For instance. I can turn you into a mantis, only if you show patience." Tang Tang said. "Patience? There is a villain on the loose." Ladydragon replied. Essence slashes at Ladydragon. Essence misses, but he grabs her leg, and throws her against a bunch. "I can turn you into a bear. All you need to do is show calmness." Xiong Xiong said. "CALMNESS???? Are you kidding me?" Ladydragon asked. "Bears are calm. You just act calm, and you will attack strong." Xiong Xiong replied. Ladydragon watches as Essence grabs her by the neck, and throws her against the ground again. "Fine. I'm calm." Ladydragon said. Sadly, nothing happens. "Ha, this is too much." Essence said. He sends a jade blast to Ladydragon, but she stands still to show calm. It fails, and she is blasted to the edge of the water. "Why didn't it work?" Ladydragon asked. "You weren't calm enough." Xiong Xiong replied. "No offense, but now I think this is worthless." Ladydragon said. "Yeah, like you." Essence replied as he stomps Ladydragon. Essence turns her over, and gets on top of her. He holds Ladydragon down. "No where to run now, child. Your miraculous will be mine." Essence said. Essence puts on of his feet on Ladydragon's arm. So he can uses his open hand to get The Prodigious. Ladydragon tries to break free, but Essence is too strong for her. "Remember, stay calm." Xiong Xiong said. Ladydragon, despite not being good at her powers, tries Xiong Xiong's advice. She stays calm. She doesn't let this scare her. "Great, just like that. Now, call me name." Xiong Xiong said. "Ok, [deep breath]. Xiong." Ladydragon replied. Soon, she transforms into a bear. One that throws Essence off of her. Essence lands, and sees Fei's new form. "Woah, cool. Ok, Essence, let's get this fight really started." Ladydragon said. Using her bear form, she runs fast on all fours. Essence creates jade blast to send to Ladydragon. The blast do hit her, but she is able to take them. Using her claws, she slashes Essence to the ground. He gets up, and tries to fight back. "Ok, let's have some fun. [stands still]. Tang." Ladydragon said. She now turns into a mantis. "Neat." Ladydragon said. "No. More like, easy for me to squash you." Essence replied. He goes to stop on Ladydragon, but her new speed allows her to dodge his attacks. Essence resorts to jade blast, but again, Ladydragon dodges all those too. Unfortunately, she jumps too high into the air, that Essence grabs her. "Gotcha. I hope you enjoy the feeling of your insect body being broken within one tighten of my hand." Essence said. He starts to slowly squash Ladydragon, but she is not going to let this happen. "Xiong." Ladydragon said. She turns into a bear, but Essence came prepared. He fires smoke bombs into her eyes. Allowing Essence to throw the bear into the water. "Man I love my job. With her out of the way, your all mine, Ladybug." Essence said as he approaches Ladybug. "She." Ladydragon replied. Ladydragon, now a snake, soon burst out of the water, and sky rockets to Essence. She lands, and wraps herself around Essence's neck. "What?" Essence said. "Sorry I had to slither my way here." Ladydragon replied. "[struggles to breath]. That pun sucks." Essence said. He grabs Fei's body, and throws her off of him. "Are you alright?" Ladybug asked. "I'm fine. I can still handle this guy." Ladydragon replied. "Ok, well see about that." Essence said. He sends more jade blast to Ladydragon. This time, she tries another new animal. "Ok. [closes her eyes]. Hou." Ladydragon said. She turns into a monkey for showing compassion. She dodges more of Essence's attacks, and lands on the villain. She starts punching him relentlessly, but Essence takes it. He grabs Ladydragon, but she isn't going to be thrown this time. "Xiong." Ladydragon said. She turns back into a bear, and slashes Essence. But he ducks again, before he kicks the bear. Essence slams both of his fist of Ladydragon's head. Falling her to the ground. He pulls out his blade, but Ladydragon got this. She has the confidence to do this. Literally. "Ying." Ladydragon said. She then turns into an Eagle(also she is the renling of confidence. Thus explaining "literally"). Ladydragon flies away from Essence, and turns around. She soars down to him. Essence is one step ahead, firing jade blast to her. Ladydragon flies her way past the blast. Even soaring over one on her back in slow mo. Back in normal speed, she lands straight into Essence's gut. He feels the pain of Ladydragon's attack. "Hou." Ladydragon said. She turns back into a monkey, and tries to grab her bracelet back. Essence doesn't allow that, so he squishes Ladydragon's hand arm. She doesn't let the pain get to her. "Hu." Ladydragon said. She turns into a tiger, that tackles Essence. Essence replies by punching Ladydragon in the gut, and grabbing one of her legs to make her fall to the ground. Essence gets up, and gets his distance away from Ladydragon. Ladydragon gets up, who shakes off the pain again. She sprints to Essence, who fires more jade blast. This time, Ladydragon dodges them all rather than take them like she was as the bear. Ladydragon bites Essence leg, and she then chucks him away. Essence tumbles a bit, but lands on his feet. Ladydragon faces Essence. "Ma." Ladydragon said. She turns into a horse, and sprints against to Essence. She jumps into the air, hurdling over Essence. She lands behind him, before she kicks Essence forwards. He tumbles, but gets up easily. Ladydragon goes to attack Essence again, but he is one step ahead. "Foolish girl. She had no idea of what true power the Jade Lion miraculous holds. Heheheheh. [stands still as Ladydragon goes to him]. Time to end this once and for all. Blazer Blades." Essence said as he uses the Jade Lion's powers. Essence summons an army of over hundreds of jade blades. Ladydragon stops, as she is frozen at the sight of these new attack. Essence giggles at Ladydragon. Falling right into his trap. Essence sends all the blades to Ladydragon. A whole armada of blades. Ladydragon, still as a horse, runs away. She tries to out run the blades, but they land and explode too fast for her. The blades corner Ladydragon, and soon, she is damaged by hundreds and hundreds of swords. Ladybug gasp in horror at Fei. Gigantic eruptions of smoke form around Ladydragon. As the smoke continues to form, Ladydragon is thrown out of the smoke. She falls to the ground, pretty much dead. But not really. She is still able to move, but barely. At a bad time too, since Essence comes out of the smoke. "Come on. Did you really think the jade blast were my special power? Word to the wise, always leaves your trump card hidden until the end." Essence said. Ladydragon tries to get up, but she falls to the ground in pain. Essence stomps on Ladydragon's back. She is agonized in pain, as Ladybug is forced to watch. Ladybug needs to do something. "Ladybug, you dare come in to stop me, and I will take her head clean off." Essence threatened. Ladybug doesn't want that, so she obeys. "Ohh, you gave it your best shot. But in the end, the villain comes out as the victor." Essence said. Ladydragon cannot do a thing. She is too weak to go one. That is, until this happens. "Fei. [Ladydragon is confused. She looks up]. Fei. You must end this now." Fei's Father said as a spirt. "Fa.....father?" Ladydragon asked. "Yes, it's me. I can see your not doing so well." Fei's Father replied. "Thanks for the compliment." Ladydragon said. "Sorry. Listen to me, you cannot let him win. You must continue to fight. Despite all the damage you take, all the energy you use, you must not stop, until you have won." Fei's Father replied. "But......I don't think I can......do this anymore." Ladydragon said. "Fei, I know you can still do this. I believe in you. I will and always will believe in you." Fei's Father replied. He disappears, as Ladydragon watches. She takes this as a hope for encouragement. Essence raises his sword into the air, and is about to bring it down on Ladydragon. Ladydragon turns around, and stops the blade by catching it with both hands clapped together. She moves the blade away from her, and throws Essence off of her. Ladydragon gets up. "Still wanting to fight? As you wish. It's your funeral after all." Essence said. Essence powers up his sword to create the most powerful jade blast he can think of. Meanwhile, Ladydragon stands completely still. She focuses on her power, as Essence focuses on his. Ladydragon channels all of her energy into one powerful weapon. Soon, Essence has enough power to pretty much destroy Ladydragon in one go. Essence fires his blast to Ladydragon, but she has reached her full power. "Tul." Ladydragon said. With that, Ladydragon turns into the eighth and final animal of The Prodigious. A dragon. The size of this beast has both Ladybug and Essence mind blown(also, the dragon doesn't have control over natural elements as shown in the original film. Why? That's basically the OG dragon's power). Ladydragon flashes her way to Essence. She picks the villain up, as he is soared through the sky. Ladydragon throws Essence again, but he fights back. He sends jade blast towards Ladydragon, and manages to get some hit. However, her body is too big, that it doesn't even injure her. Ladydragon charges back to Essence. Both of which flying or falling in the sky. As Ladydragon flies to him, Essence is able to get onto her back, and run on her. Essence waste no time stabbing Ladydragon. It hurts her, but not enough. She shakes Essence off of her. Essence is flipped into the air, but he sends more jade blast to Ladydragon. She swiftly dodges them, before charging at Essence again. Essence does the exact same thing. By the looks of it, the two just look like their going to run into each other, but that's not the case for Ladydragon. This is going according to her plan. Ladydragon and Essence charge face to face with each other, but Ladydragon makes her move. She turns back into a human, and reaches out to Essence's hand. The one with the bracelet. Ladydragon grabs onto Essence's hand, and the two fall to the ground of Shanghai. Fighting each other while in the air. Essence tries to punch Ladydragon off of him, but she is not going to let that happen. She kicks Essence, but he socks her in the face. Ladydragon holds onto Essence hands tight, and finally kicks him away from her. During this, she was able to finally get her hands on her bracelet. This has Essence de-transform, as he is sent falling into the lake of The Bund. Making a giant splash as he lands. Ladydragon lands on the ground. Finally ending this fight. "Oh....my.....God. That was AWESOME!!!!!!" Ladybug screamed. She runs to Ladydragon. "I mean, that was nothing I've ever seen. You were all, bear attack, and Essence was all blasting, and then you both fight in the air. I love it." Ladybug said. "You seem oddly excited for this." Ladydragon replied. "Oh, sorry. I've actually never done something like that before. Express how I think of a battle." Ladybug said. "Don't worry about it. It's fine with me." Ladydragon replied. Their conversation is interrupted as Essence climbs out of the lake. He gets up all soaking wet. "Looks like it's game over, Essence. You lost, and lost another miraculous." Ladybug said. "Yeah, rub it all in my face. I lost again. Heh. I must say that was rather one of the best fights I've done. [looks at Ladydragon]. This new holder of The Prodigious seems to be a worthy choice. A decent fighter as well. Your something uhh.....what's your exactly name?" Essence asked. "Uhhh, Ladydragon. Yep, call me Ladydragon." Ladydragon replied. "Potential fighter, awful name. Whatever. So, Ladydragon, you think this is all over? Well, it is.........for the time being. I'm a lot harder to get rid of. And who knows. Maybe we'll see each other, very soon. And I will walk away with both The Prodigious, and the Jade Lion miraculous in my hands. Along with your bloody head as a symbol of my triumph." Essence said. He smoke bombs away to escape. "Let him run. I'm sure I'll see him again soon." Ladydragon said. "Not really. He'll be in Paris after other miraculous. But I can handle it." Ladybug replied. "Good to know. So.......what about Shanghai? It's a mess." Ladydragon asked. "I got this." Ladybug replied. Ladybug summons a lucky charm, and uses it to fix all of the damage in Paris. "Ok, that was impressive." Ladydragon said. "It's the power of creation my friend. My superpower to be exact." Ladybug replied. "Cool. I have to say, your a lot cooler than I expected. Your actually a good alley, and superhero. I"m......honored to meet you, Ladybug." Ladydragon said. "Just doing what's best for others. Also, just wait until you meet Cat Noir. He is someone you will also find assuming." Ladybug replied. "I bet he will be." Ladydragon said.
We soon transition back to the caves of The Prodigious. "So, your the new guardian of The Prodigious. You have The Prodigious, you have your bracelet, you have it all." Ladybug said. "I do. And I wouldn't have done it without you, Ladybug. I mean, it was your encouragement that helped support me. That, and the spirit of my Dad." Ladydragon replied. "I'm just glad you got what you wanted." Ladybug said. Ladydragon looks at her bracelet. "Yes. And now, I'm no longer the person I once was. A thief, a crook, and a criminal. That was me in my past. A past that was blinded by greed. For now one, I'm the person I was meant to be. The person I want to be. I am........Ladydragon. Guardian of The Prodigious, and savior of all of Shanghai." Ladydragon declared. "Congratulations, Fei." She She said. "Cheers to a new Ren Ren." Hou Hou replied. The other renlings cheer. Ladydragon smiles. "So, what's your first order of business?" Ladybug asked. "Easy. Finally put back on what's mine." Ladydragon replied. Ladydragon finally puts her bracelet back on, and soon a green light forms. "I like that. Good choice for you to start with." Mei Shi said. "What the? Mei Shi." Ladydragon and Ladybug replied. "That's my name. What? You thought that was the last of me? Of course not. I'll always be here to accompany you Fei. Helping you become a better guardian than you already are." Mei Shi said. "Well that's nice. Now you have two powers." Ladybug replied. "Yep, and they both will be used for the greater good." Ladydragon said. Ladybug smiles before she must leave. "Well, this is fair well, Ladydragon. Oh also, Marinette is at The Thousand Delights restaurant. I took her there, before I came back here." Ladybug said. "Ok great. Thanks Ladybug. Hope I see you again." Ladydragon replied. "Me too, Ladydragon." Ladybug said.
As Ladybug leaves, she uses her bug phone to finally get home. To make up lost time, she travels home in a faster way. Using her Astro powers to transform into Cosmo Bug. This allows her to travel in the darkness of night. Soon, Cosmo Bug finally makes it home. She de-transforms completely. Meanwhile, her uncle is very worried about Marinette. He has been trying to call her for hours. Thankfully, Marinette comes back. "[turns around]. Marinette!!!!!!" Mari's Uncle screamed. Her uncle runs and hugs her. "I've been worried sick. Where have you been? It's been hours since I last saw you." Mari's Uncle asked. "It's a long story, but......I lost my stuff by a thief, some stranger decided to help me after she saved me from a dog, we went on a whole adventure, I found out you can eat hamster, I got my stuff back, almost got into a fight, witness Shanghai get crushed by a supervillain, watch Ladybug and a new hero named Ladydragon stop the villain, and I finally made it back here. [takes deep breathes]. I'm so sorry this happened, uncle. But at least I made it back for your birthday." Marinette replied. Mari's Uncle is shocked at this story, but is happy to see his niece again. "I'm just so happy to see you again. We did unfortunately miss the eclipse, but that doesn't mean my birthday is ruined." Mari's Uncle said. "Your sure right." Marinette replied. Suddenly, Fei, now wearing both jewels, bust in. "[gasp]. Marinette!!!!! I'm so glad your ok." Fei said as she runs and hugs Mari. Marinette smiles. "I'm glad to see you too, Fei. Oh, that reminds me. Uncle, this is Fei. She is the one who helped me when my stuff was stolen." Marinette replied. "What a surprise. It's an honor to see you Miss Fei." Mari's Uncle said. "Thank you. I'm glad to meet you as well." Fei replied. "You know, Marinette must have told you it was my birthday. And since you helped her, would you like to join us?" Mari's Uncle asked. "Me? Join you?" Fei asked. "Of course." Mari's Uncle replied. Fei thinks, but looks at Mari. She nods her head, so Fei has her answer. "I.....would love to join you two." Fei said. "Excellent. You deserve it." Mari's Uncle replied. He goes to get dinner ready, as Fei holds Mari back. "Marinette.........I want to apologize for what I did. It was wrong of me to steal from you, so I can get my bracelet back. Which I did, but it wasn't easy. Anyway, I feel awful for doing something so horrible to you. So, I'm sorry. And I hope you'll forgive me." Fei said. "Oh, Fei. [touches her shoulder]. Of course I forgive you." Marinette replied. Fei smiles, as does Marinette. "You know, my uncle does want me to help him cook dinner. Maybe you'd like to join us as well for that." Marinette said. "That sounds like fun. Let's do it." Fei replied. The two girls go into the kitchen, and help Mari's uncle cooks the birthday dinner. It is filled with laughs, some messes, but most of all, enjoyment.
Back at Essence's lair, he has arrived home. He is chilling in his throne room. Overlooking his lair. A clawer arrives next to him. "So, Shanghai was also a failure, master?" Clawer asked. "It was, but not really. [gets up, and moves to the edge of the room]. I see my trips around the world as seeds being planted. So they can sprout out my victory in the future. I may have lost the miraculous, but I now know where they are at, and who holds them. Plus, I now know the power a miraculous can truly hold. Once I finally have The Mother Box, and all those innocent, defenseless kwamis inside, they will help me achieve all the others. One by one. And no one will stop me from completing my legacy." Essence replied as he starts to laugh villainously.
