𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙄𝙣 𝙃𝙖𝙬𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙨 || 𝘔𝘢𝘹 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥

𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐠: 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐢𝐱

Sky watched as her brother put himself out as bait with her eyes widened.

She poked her head through the top of the bus and called out to Lucas, "Lucas..keep watch." She threw the binoculars down to Sinclair and jumped off the bus before the other kids could protest. She grabbed an extra bat they had, even though it didn't have nails, and rushed to her brother. "Skylar Marie Harrington what the hell are you doing!" Steve screamed at her. "I'm helping you idiot, now shut your ass up and be prepared to fight." With both Harringtons out in the open more demogorgon looking creatures appeared. "Three o'clock!" Three o'clock!" Sky turned just in time to hit the creature mid attack. That's how the two stayed, they stood there and hit any and all monsters coming at them, until there were to many. "Steve! Skylar! Abort! Abort!" Both Harringtons locked eyes, nodded, and ran towards the bus, still hitting monsters out the way. While they were able to hit and dodge the monsters one was able to snag on Sky's leg, giving her a gash similar to the one she had on her arm last month. Sky faltered a little from the injury and slowed a bit. Once she was close enough Steve dragged her by the arm and into the bus.

"Oh my god!" Was all Max could say as she dragged Sky into the middle of the bus. It was to dark to notice Sky's leg, but once she was dragged a trail of blood coated the floor, the party now in a panic. "What happened?" "Are you okay?" "Do you need to go to the hospital?" Was all Sky heard. It constant yelling in her ear. She let out a groan of annoyance before speaking. "I'm fine, just got cut. Who cares." She then stood up, wobbling a little before steadying herself against the bus chairs. Although the party, plus Steve, were screaming about the monsters that surrounded them, it all sounded like white noise to Sky. She didn't even know what was going on until someone pulled her arm and dragged her away from the hole at the top the bus. Once she was more conscience she looked over and saw Lucas holding Max's hand, and although it wasn't the time, she couldn't help but feel jealous.

They all slowly made their way out the bus, once realizing that the monsters had left and gone somewhere else. "What happened?" "I don't know." "Did Steve scare them?" "Not a chance."
That's when Steve realized what that meant.

"No, they're going somewhere."

With that the party took off, Sky was hanging off of Steve's shoulder to help her walk better since she now had an injured leg. Sky now had a terrible headache and was burning up, at least on the inside, on the outside she was cold but sweating. "You're positive that was Dart?" "Yes. He had the same exact yellow pattern on his butt." "He was tiny two days ago." "Well, he's molted three times already." Steve turned around, "Malted?" "No Steve, Molted. He shed his skin to make room for growth." Steve turned back, taking Sky with him. "When is he going to molt again?" "Soon. When he does, he'll be fully grown, or close to it. And so will his friends." Steve butted in "Yeah, and he's gonna eat a lot more than just cats." That sentence made the three teens behind them stop in place, Steve stopping too, one he realized they weren't following. "Wait, he ate a cat?" "What? No.." Sky looked towards Steve, "What have you started Harrington..." Steve scoffed at her before continuing. "What are you talking about? He ate mews." "Mews? Who's Mews?" Sky didn't see a point in trying to cover for Dustin, so this time she answered the question. "Dustin's cat." "Skylar!" "I knew it! You kept him! And you knew about it and covered for him!" Lucas now walking over a pushing at her chest. "touch me again sinclair and i won't be the only person here with injury's." Sky said, just above a whisper. They continued arguing while Sky and Steve listened, hoping it would end soon. That was until they heard a screech, one sounding awfully familiar. "Hey guys?" Steve turned to the woods in the direction it was coming from, once Sky saw nobody was paying attention she screamed, "Guys!" They all turned to her and Steve and heard it, everyone taking off while Max stayed in place protesting their decision, she soon followed.
