"Sky, wake up. You're coming with me."

Sky was shaken awake by Steve who was already dressed in his sailor uniform, ready for work. "What do you want Steven? Im not in the mood." She flipped over on the other side of her bed trying to fall asleep until Steve flopped onto the bed. "Steve, get off of me!" She started to push him off the bed resulting in him landing on the floor with a hard thud. "Get up Skylar, we have stuff to do." "What are you talking about?" She started to sit upright but still staying in bed. "The translation, remember? We need to finish translating and crack the code." Sky just stared at him with furrowed eyebrows. She had two options, ditch scoops and go to El's place to hang out with her and Max, or go to scoops and help with some weird Russian stuff.

She chose Scoops.

She loved hanging out with the two girls, but from what happened last night on the phone, she got the feeling Max was mad with her and she did not want to see what happened if she went to go hangout. "Fine, yeah I'll get up just give me a sec to get ready-" "Well you need to hurry, I don't want to be late." Steve started making his way out the room while Sky just held an annoyed facial expression until he left and shut the door. She got up going to her bathroom to clean up before changing, she noticed her bruise was almost completely gone and she couldn't wait for it to finally be nonexistent. She changed into her usual shorts and button up and started making her way out her room, grabbing her Walkman and headphones before leaving. She walked over to Steve's room since he had the good cassette tapes and looked through them, eventually landing on one mix having Elton John, The Smiths, Queen, Dexys Midnight Runners, and other good artists. She walked downstairs after finally being ready and followed Steve out the door to his car. "God you take forever." "You woke me up 5 minutes before you wanted to leave, not my fault." The Harrington siblings got in the car before Steve took off going ten miles well over the speed limit, it just reminded her of Halloween day when Billy drove to fast.
Not a great memory.

Steve eventually made it to Starcourt and both of them got out and walked to the mall, it was silent between the two, and not the comfortable kind, it was very awkward. "I'm surprised you didn't ditch us to hang out with Max if I'm being honest." Steve began breaking the silence. "You guys have been hanging out a lot, it kind of felt like you were ditching me if I'm being honest.. it felt as if, like, as if I lost a best friend." Sky only stared at her brother with sadness in her eyes, she never wanted to hurt her brothers feelings, so to hear him talk about how he felt about her hanging out with Max and 'ditching' him it hurt her a bit. "I'm-I'm sorry Steve, I didn't mean to ditch you or anything." Steve only hummed, she sighed debating wether or not she should tell Steve why she's been hanging out with them more, so she continued, "I guess.. with it being summer now, I've been trying to make plans with her and the party like everyday so we don't part ways, if that even makes any sense....I just feel as if we didn't make plans, they'd just get bored with everyone, bored with me, and so I've been with them all summer to prevent that." Nobody really heard about how Sky felt, or just her feelings in general, she always kept quite but Steve saw that side right then and there. "I'm sorry Steve." "It's okay." He put is arm around her and pulled her into a side hug, "I guess now isn't really a great time for a pep talk, let's get to saving the world yeah?" "We're not 'saving the world'."

The Harrington siblings walked into Scoops, Steve went straight to the back while Sky stayed up at the counter with Robin, "So, any luck with finishing the code?" "Yeah, I think I got it. Just listen," Robin cleared her throat before repeating the code. "The week is long, the silver cat feeds, when blue meets yellows in the west. That's all I got." "You cracked some of it but it doesn't make sense." Both girls sigh in annoyance, "We'll be back." Both Steve and Dustin rushed out the store, "Where are you going?" "To do spy work!" Dustin screamed as they left, "idiot." Robin nodded in agreement before speaking. "Let's get back to the recording, we need to crack it." "Yeah yeah." Both girls listened and eventually got a couple letters deciphered, then they heard the bell ring. "Excuse me. Ahoy!" Both girls turned to see the younger Sinclair, Erica. "I'd like to try the peanut butter chocolate swirl, please." She stood there with a smile on her face. "No. No more samples today." "Why not?" "Because you're abusing our company policy." She scoffed, "Sky, can you get me a sample please?" "Sorry Erica, I don't work here so legally I cannot give you a sample." She groaned and rolled her eyes. "Fine, where's the sailor man?" "Sorry, Steve's busy." "With what?" Sky just smiled, "Spycraft." "Fine, whatever." She then walked out the store back to her posey of friends, "God, middle schoolers right?" "You're barely in high school." "Let's get back to cracking the code alright, don't worry about me." Robin laughed at the girl before returning back to their main focus.
