It seemed like the drive to Murray's took forever. Max was thinking about what Nancy had said to her before they left. Murray might.... say stuff to you and Lucas but don't let it get to your head, ok? Don't do anything you're not truly ready to do. What did Nancy mean by "stuff"? She truly didn't mean what she thought she meant when she said "anything you're not truly ready to do," right? She couldn't mean-

"Max!" Lucas said, finally snapping her from her thoughts. "What? Sorry." Max said startled. "Do you need to go to the restroom? Do you want anything from the gas station? Food or a drink?" he asked. "Uh no. No I'm fine. Thanks though." she replied. "Ok well I'm gonna go to the restroom, ok?" Lucas said as he placed a kiss on her cheek. "I'll be back. I promise." She just smiled at him and leaned into his touch. "Ok." she said.

Joyce got back into the car after filling it up with gas. "You doing ok back there, sweetie?" Joyce asked sweetly. "Yep I'm ok Mrs. Byers." Max said with a smile on her face. "Oh please Max! Call me Joyce!" she said with a laugh. "Ok, Joyce." Max said, putting emphasis on Joyce and giggling a bit.

Then Max got the idea to ask Mrs. By-, Joyce, about what Nancy meant when she said "stuff." Just as she was about to speak up, Lucas came back from the restroom. "We ready to hit the road, kiddos?" Joyce asked. "You bet!" Lucas replied. "Yep." Max said, barely a whisper.

Lucas was thinking to himself about what Jonathan had said to him. Lucas couldn't remember the last time he had ever talked to Jonathan so he found it a little strange that he wanted to talk to him. Murray is an interesting guy and he might tell you and Max stuff but don't let it get to your head and don't like do stuff you guys aren't like ready for. What the hell could he have meant by that? There is no way Jonathan meant like, sex, right? I mean, what stuff could Murray even say?

Lucas was reminded where he was when Joyce said, "Almost there guys! Just around 45 more minutes or so!" Well, looks like Lucas would be finding out what Jonathan meant very soon.

45 minutes? Max thought to herself. She had tried to stop thinking about what Nancy had said to her. She didn't like thinking about it like, at all. There was no way in hell that Murray could say anything to make them realize they wanted to have sex. I mean the furthest they had ever gone was making out. And it wasn't even like the type of making out where your hands are roaming over the other person's body, desperate for more. I mean she was desperate for more. But there was no way Lucas was, right?

Lucas grabbed Max's hand and intertwined their fingers. This was nice. Being boyfriend and girlfriend again. Lucas had missed it. He had openly admitted it multiple times before, much to the annoyance of Dustin, Mike, Will, and Eddie. "Lucas would you just stop already? I know you miss her. But this has been going on for WEEKS. She's gonna take you back eventually." Will finally said. I mean they were all waiting for someone to say what they were all thinking but no one expected it to be Will.

Max had missed it too. But she would never openly admit that. But deep down, she knew Lucas knew bY the way she would kiss him with deeper, with more passion. Almost like she was trying to make up for lost time, which she was. She wanted to taste every bit of him. But she knew that, for a long time, she was going to have to settle for kissing his lips and nothing else. Max could feel the sexual tension between them during their makeout sessions. But it was a silent agreement that they would ignore that. Because who wants to verbally address sexual tension? No one because that would be awkward. At least that's what the two teens thought.

They arrived at Murray's and Joyce warned them that he can be a little insane at times. They were surprised when he calmly opened the door to let them in with no shenanigans. Max and Lucas were immediately smacked in the face with a very strong scent of vodka and what seemed to be sweat. It was around 7 o'clock when they got there so Murray had prepared dinner for them. Just a simple dinner of macaroni and cheese with some green beans.
