I wake up in a place I don't know, but I remember it for some reason, maybe in a dream. The room smells like the dark oak floor and mahogany furniture decks the outer edges of the room, and a tall silver mirror stands in the corner. There is a small ceiling fan, with a red glowing light. Hairs stick up in the back of my neck, because I feel something watching me. Scanning the room, I meet a pair of green eyes. He has brown hair, that sticks to his forehead from sweat, tan skin, and the thing that catches your eye is the scar on his arm. Reddish and scabbed over, the scar was probably a gash once. Looking closer, I see blood stains laced across his white tunic. He's dressed like a person from midevil times. His hard face turns into a smile as he sees that I'm awake.

" it has worked! I shall tell thou king thou princess is awake," he throws his arms up to exaggerate.

What is going on? Where is Jeanne? Who is he? Thou king? Thy princess? Scanning the room, I found only a door, that looked very old, like it would fall off its hinges if you pushed it too hard. A draped window sat off to the side, that must've been open because you could clearly hear ravens emit a high metallic screech. Curiosity took the best of me and I began to tour around the room. I looked through the night stand drawer finding a few odds and ends. There was an old pocket watch, a silver plated hand mirror with beautiful wooden carvings I should have paid more attention to. There was a faded old cape, that looked a pinkish red, and a small earring box made of marble that inside held a gold lock of hair, and a glass slipper that should've tipped me off. I rifled through other drawers, finding nothing but clothes, that seemed to be made of very fine materials, like silk. If only I'd searched more thoroughly. Then, I walked up to the silvery mirror in the corner. I see a girl I don't recognize. She has even golden locks, bronze eyes, shining pale skin, full lips-

Oh yeah! And she's also about 18!

I scan myself, checking if the mirror even was a mirror. But I see the same person I saw through the mirror. What happened to the fourth grade me, Kate? I pinch my skin, seeing if it's real, I tug on my hair, to see if it's not really a hallucination. But it's not. I'm so confused, I turn distraught, and every thing goes black as I feel myself collapse into the floor.

Opening my eyes again, I wake to find two faces looking at me. One is the boy's face from earlier, the other is one I don't know, but I feel like I've met this person before. He is an older man, with softened, tired eyes, a brown frizzy beard, and wrinkled skin.

" who are you? Where- where is Jeanne? What's the date, where are we?" I asked panicked.

The man seems sad that I don't know the answers to these questions and I feel like I should.

" this is Phillip," the older man points to the young boy, " I do not know where Jeanne is. It is summer time in England. No need to worry child it will all come back to you. I am the king. I am your father."

" wait," I felt dizzy, "I'm a princess?"

"Yes," he said calmly as if it wasn't a big deal. " be calm daughter. There is no need to worry, Maleficent has been slaughtered, so you have woken from your slumber."

" Maleficent. But, but, she doesn't exist."

" well, not after I killed her, er it," The young boy said.

" wait; slumber, Maleficent, princess. Do you mean to say that I'm I'm-" I had trouble saying it for some reason.

" yes, you are princess Aurora," the king said.

And I fainted again.
