Sit inside the wardrobe, don't make a sound, and don't come out until Uncle comes to fetch you. Will you promise me, baby?" Serene whispered, planting a tender kiss on boy's forehead.

"I know you're in there... don't make me wait, you despicable creature. Come out this instant," a voice filled with disgust called out to Serene from outside. The approaching footsteps sent shivers down Serene's spine, his hands trembling with fear.

"I warned you not to toy with me. You can never escape my clutches," the hunter sneered, relishing the sight of his prey right before him.

"Don't you yearn for life, Serene? Why won't you beg for mercy like all the others did? Here's what I'll offer you: I'll grant you the chance to beg, and perhaps, just perhaps, I'll let you live," the hunter ordered, his voice dripping with sadistic pleasure.

Serene's laughter echoed through the room

"Did you truly believe I would stoop to begging like the rest? I will never be the same as them. I know that even if I were to plead, you would still end my life," Serene declared with unwavering confidence, his bravery etched upon his face.

...

Blood pooled on the floor as Serene's lifeless body lay there, his eyes forever frozen in a plea for help, desperately searching for the boy he had hidden away in the closet.

"Ken..." Serene whispered one last time before his eyes closed, surrendering to eternal slumber.
