When Elena Warren became Elena Gilbert, she saw many memories, memories that didn't belong to her, but to Elena Gilbert.

She felt every single emotion that the Gilbert had felt and was forced to watch everything that happened to her.

Every hit.

Every insult.

Every memory taken away.

All the times she had been compelled.

She couldn't believe what she was seeing, hearing, experiencing.

Elena Gilbert wasn't really herself all the time.

Damon Salvatore wasn't really trying to be good.

The first time he set his eyes on her all he saw was Katherine Pierce.

The woman that manipulated him.

The woman that was supposed to be locked in a tomb.

But his brother screwed everything up.

But now that she has them back, she would know everything he was planning.

She would ruin his plans and make him watch it happen.

And when she was done, she would kill him.

He should have known not to mess with a Petrova, let alone a Petrova doppelgänger.

She was now a heretic.
