It was 12 am in the morning, Lyra was awake with a crying baby, Its been 3 weeks and 3 days since they've had her, Lyra had to say it was hard taking care of a child, they all had shifts for her, parenting was a hard subject they had to take on. "Promise, please go to sleep..I'm begging you" Lyra whispered gently rocking her in her arms, but nothing worked for her, at all, Lyra bathed her, fed her, sang to her, changed her diaper but nothing worked for her. "Need help?" Wayland stood in her doorway shirtless as he asked, "Yeah, just a little" Lyra tried to play it off and he chuckled walking in the room.

"Whats wrong with her?" he sat beside Lyra on the bed and he took the baby into his big arms rocking her, "I did what I was supposed to do for her, but nothing is working" Lyra stated and he nodded, "Did you sing to her? She loves being sang too" Wayland asked and she nodded, "I did. But she cried louder" Lyra nodded looking at Promise face starting to turn red and she rubbed her head. "Did you put love into it? No? thats probably why. Lets sing to her. Together" Wayland suggested, "It depends on the song Landy" She looked at him. "I see the light. Tangled" he looked down at the baby. "Now that's the best song in history. Whos starting?" she asked and he smiled. "You can" he nodded.

"All those days, Watching from the window, All those years, outside looking in. All that time, never even knowing, Just how've blind I've been" Lyra started the song off looking at Promise calm, "Now I'm here, blinking in the starlight, Now I'm here, Suddenly I see, Standing here. Its all so clear, I'm where I'm to meant to be" Wayland sang and then the two looked at one another. "And at last I see the light, and its like the fog has lifted, And at last I see the light, and its like the sky is new. Its warm, and real, and Bright. And the world has somehow shifted...All at once, Everything looks different. Now that I see you" Lyra smiled and Wayland stared into her eyes.

The song sparked something into Wayland. Maybe it was her voice, it was smooth, calm, soothing, like a siren, maybe she lured him in with it, whatever she did, it worked in his eyes. Wayland leaned in towards her, Lyra had hit a mildstone, she's growing up, boys never looked at her like Wayland just looked at her just now, its like one of those romantic movies you see. She's never been kissed, nor has she ever been touched, but its about to happen now. Her breathing quickened as he inched closer and closer, Lyra leaned her head in also, she stopped as her forehead touched his, Lyra looked at him closing his eyes. As his top lip brushed hers, she looked around the room, she was nervous, She finally looked down at Promise, "She's asleep" She told him and he pulled back looking at the baby. "Oh y-yeah" he scratched the back of his own head.

"I'll put her in the crib, so you can go back to sleep..thank you again" She took Promise out of his arms and stood up from her bed, Wayland stood and loved his hair from his face, "Your welcome" he walked out of her room saying not looking back. Lyra put Promise in the crib she had on her bedside, she covered her with her own blanket. Lyra sat back down on her bed thinking, god she knew what he was feeling. It was very awkward, she knew he was thinking..she felt bad about it.

***The Morning***

"How's Delilah?" Brielle asked about the pig who was asleep, "Well, shes resting. Lila on the other hand died, When I opened her up to see what was wrong, her blood was black, so I threw her out to the Fleshies so they can move away from the fences for now" Rowen told the truth as he finished picking the Carrots, Oinons and Lettuce. "Good, she might have been infected" Brielle picked up the crate of fresh veggies, "And also, tell Lyra and Wayland to get ready. They have to go into town for food and baby stuff" Brielle reminded him and Rowen nodded standing up from the ground taking off the gloves. "Okay. I will tell them, then fill up the car with gas" Rowen told the oldest and she nodded, "I'll get the bag of food and gallon of water for the trip" Brielle walked to the house with the crate.

Lyra on the other hand was making arrows, she always made her own, never saw the use in fake ones, homemade arrows were more affective, they are faster and thicker. Though they were hard to make, with the shaping and applying the arrow heads to them, she always made about 6-7 a day. Lyra looked at Promise in her carseat and smiled, "When you get older, I'll teach you how to make this, it'll be so fun for us" Lyra told the baby as she watched her look around, "Lyraaa. You have to go into town with Wayland today, its marked on the calendar remember?" Rowen walked to Lyra with the baby carrier already onto him, "Oh yeah." Lyra said and thought about last night, "Can't you come with me instead of him?" She asked and he shook his head.

"No can do. I have to plant more seeds and crops today. I would've if I could" He told Lyra as he took Promise off the blanket on the grass putting her in the carrier onto him strapping her into it. "Okay. I'll be ready in a few" Lyra put all the newly made arrows into her arrow holder standing to her feet. "If you need me, Me and Promise will be filling the gas tank" Rowen kissed Lyra's cheek walking to the Garage of the house. Lyra rubbed her head, How the hell will she stay in the car with Wayland for about 25 minutes, last night was awkward for them both, she basiclly rejected him, he avoided her all day when she tried to bring up the subject, she knew it was bad.

"Rowen I have a question" Wayland walked to him as he had the big gas container in his hand filling up the car with it, "Okay..?" he looked over at Wayland as he leaned against the car, "How would you take rejection?" he turnt his head to Rowen and Rowen lifted a brow. "Well. Not talking with the person you rejected won't do anything, you have to know the reason before you put it against the person" Rowen told his idea and Wayland nodded, "And you can't be an ass with it, because I know how you are sometimes brother" Rowen told him and Wayland laughed. "I know I can give a good treatment, but why would I want to know the reason?" Way watched him place the gas container back on the shelf and close the plug and then the cover of the gas tank. "Because, what if the girl had bad experience with a boy before? Or the male rushed it, maybe lack of experience too Wayland"

Wayland thought about last night, just flashes of it, "Your right" Rowen smiled as he reached his hand through the window pressing the button to unlock the car doors, "I'm always right when It comes to this type of advice, but. Who are you talking about?" He asked and Wayland looked at him, "A girl I met. Human" He lied and Rowen opened the car door putting a gallon of water in the back seat, "Her name is...Delta..uhhh and I tried to kiss her four days ago. She's the most beautiful girl I've ever come across" Wayland lied again and Rowen smiled putting the bag of food in the backseat also. "Was she hot?" he asked another queston, "Absolutely" He didnt lie on that question though, Lyra was hotter than hot..She was gorgeous.

Lyra walked in with her bow and arrows, "ready?" she asked Wayland opening the car door. "I am" he nodded and Rowen threw him the keys, Lyra nodded getting in on the passanger side of the car closing the door after herself, Wayland knew, it was going to be one hell of a ride. He got in on the drivers side and closed the door after himself starting the car. "Brielle!" Rowen yelled her name as she put her thumb up telling him the first fence is opened, "Be safe and Come home later okay?" she asked, "Of course. When do we never come back?" Lyra winked at him as Wayland pulled off.
