Tommy looked at him then at his neckless which had two rings on it an orange ring and blue one "what's those for?" dream paused grabbing his neckless hesitating for a moment but finally speaking up "it was a gift from two friends of mine but that was a while ago c'mon let's continue to walk" Tommy nodded knowing he most likely didn't want to talk about it anymore they continued walking for another hour or two before taking a break dream just felt like it they sat in the grass Tommy turned to him "thank you" dream cocked his head to the side "hm? What are you thanking me for" "for letting me tag along" "oh right well your welcome I guess" they sat a complete moments more enjoying the scenery then counting to walk Tommy a few paces behind staring at the trees and clouds the sun had begun to set in a purple pink hue Tommy felt a sudden drowsiness feeling the seep cling to his eyes he yawned slowing down more dream noticed and stopped turning to him "do you need to sleep?" Dream asked nonchalantly Tommy yawned again and nodded slowly dream humed in a response and began to walk to a grassy area decent enough to rest in dream sat next to Tommy the kid stared at him eyes half-lidded Tommy unbeknownst scooted closer laying his head in dream's lap dream tensed up freezing he looked down "wh- get off you" he sighed as he got no response from the kid oh well he gently rubbed the kid hair Tommy stared a bit in response letting out a soft hum of appreciation and dream thinly smiled (maybe fondly but he wont admit that to himself ) mimicking his own masks smile he continued to gently ruffle the kids hair waiting till he woke up again
