Blackout: Broken

Chapter Three

Chaotic swirls surrounded the four of them, and they held onto each other for balance. "I don't think Khaos likes that I'm here," Nix said, stifling his power. As he did so, his eyes returned to their dull pastel purple greyish colour, and the swirls ceased.
"We need to get out of here." She said, powering up her bracelet and finger drawing the frame of a portal.
"Go to the rendezvous point we agreed on with Artemis," Sharon said and she nodded. She punched the air inside of the frame, and shattered the inside of the frame, successfully making a gateway back to their Universe. She turned to face Io, and asked,
"will you be able to come with us?" He shook his head, and she hugged him, thanked him for his help, and wished to meet him again soon. She told herself that leaving him was the best option, despite her thoughts as to otherwise, and began to step through the gateway. But she was thrown back, and off of the moon. She regained her senses and flew back up to see what the situation was. There were flashes of gold, light turquoise, dark turquoise and purple light, and a figure dressed in all black was attempting to enter the Chaosrealm. "Mimi," She whispered, and rushed to help. To her dismay, Mimi successfully managed to get through the gateway. She shifted into her Animatus form, a clouded yellow butterfly, and landed on Mimi's neck. She then shifted into her goddess form, crushing Mimi under the weight. Mimi threw her off, sending her sprawling. She landed on her back, wincing. Sharon materialised her scythe in her hands, attacking Mimi with it. Mimi waved her hand, and trapped the scythe in the air. Mimi then used her magic to throw the scythe, and Sharon with it, through the gateway. She looked around, but couldn't see Nix anywhere. She looked up to see a dark shadow-like cylinder surrounding Mimi, and Nix behind it, controlling it. Nix's eyes were a deep, dark purple colour. Really dark. In his eyes, she could see what looked like galaxies. He seemed to be filled with rage, and Mimi screamed in pain. He was killing her. "Nix, stop!" She cried, afraid of what he would do if he didn't. Nix didn't stop, didn't respond, even look at her, just shouted at Mimi,
"this is for what you did to Trixie!" She didn't want to hurt Nix, but she knew that if she didn't somehow stop him, he would kill Mimi, and their rescue mission would be for nothing. She materialised a pastel yellow sword and cut through the shadows, breaking Nix's bond. His attention turned to her, and he was angry. He attempted to throw her backwards, but she got to him first.
"I'm sorry," she mouthed, and threw him back into the gateway. Unfortunately, it closed, and she turned her attention to Mimi, who was grinning evilly. "Don't start," she said, fed up. She bound Mimi in pastel yellow chains and attached them to a faraway brick wall.
"You go, I'll deal with her," Iophiel said. She opened another portal, hoping it would be to the same place as her previous portal. She took a last look at Iophiel, and the Chaosrealm. She nodded at Io, and he nodded back. She held up three fingers, and he repeated her. She crossed her right fist across her body so it was pressed against her heart, Iophiel copied her. She knelt down so that she was on one knee, putting her right knee down and standing on her left foot. She put her right arm up in the air, still enclosed in a fist. Iophiel mouthed "Thank you," and she stood up, saluted, and walked backwards through the gateway. It closed, leaving Iophiel behind, Mimi in his custody.
