Nestled right in the center of this "beautiful" city, midtown is one of the most known tourist spots in the city. Many people associate this rural area with rich dining, craft breweries, & my personal favorite ; GAY BARS :) Residents always will tell you that it is NEVER as pristine as it appears. Truth being said, midtown is a hotspot zone for crime.
In this part of the city, the violence rates are as high as 450% higher than the national average! Being infested with gang violence, rampant homelessness, drug addiction, & a terrifyingly horrible police force.
The crimes reported (10,967) include everything from murder, rape & assault, including more heinous acts to explicit to detail. There was also a shocking 8,660 property crime stood incidents.
