A rain drop falls

20 7 3

The pouring rain, my rocking chair
A hot cup of tea, a fresh page on the diary

My thoughts hover above me
The day seemingly endless like the sea

Quiet and still it's waiting for me
To catch all my sweet dreams

As if the clouds in the sky all do know
An imperishable bliss can not be bestowed

As long as heaven is a place up above
So they say "Sweet child dream all you want

Till life comes in and you've nowhere to run"
Oh and when that time finally came

A raindrop fell off from the eaves

Waking me up from a delightful reverie

To a haunting night sky,
a fading high

And a quiet page just staring at me
In hopes of being painted with sunlit dreams
As my mind forgot all that my eyes had seen
