A few weeks had passed since Ortho's Birthday party which was very memorable, though after seeing the video taken of him dancing Idia was mortified but he did gain a confidence boost, and he noticed himself changing too but he didn't realize until now that it was because of you, ever since you walked into his life he opened up more and tried to come out of his room more, and just the other day he mustered up enough courage to go to his class in person but still had his tablet so he could talk. But he did start texting you on the regular like he used to and it made your day all that much better as you talked to him that way, or met up In his room to game after classes but you felt the bond and friendship between you both become stronger, but as of late while you both were great friends right now you started to feel something changing.

you were currently In your animal linguistics class right now, trying to communicate with Professor Trein's cat Lucius who was the guest for the day, you'd studied plenty of cat language but you hoped you'd understand him just enough to pass this assignment

Lucius curled up and gave a, "Meow.."

you nodded, "Mhm"

"Meow...Mrrow"

you smiled and gave his head a scratch, "Is that so?"

Professor Divus looked on in shock, "what is he saying Kingscholar"

you turned to him, "He said Professor Trein's a wonderful owner"

Professor Trein smiled and picked him up "Is that true? why thank you Lucius"

Divus Crewel turned to you, "Well done Kingscholar you get full points from us both"

everyone clapped for you as you went to sit down, just as you felt your phone vibrate and you quickly checked to see a message from Idia

Idia: Hey (Y/n), I'm kind of In a bind rn...I'm hiding out under one of the stairwells

you furrowed your brows and replied: What happened?

Idia: The Teacher called me to come to the front of the class and I did...but then I started to feel a panic attack coming on so I ran away

you started to feel your heartbreak, you then replied again: I'll try to come to you, just stay there and tell me where you are

Idia sent which stairwell he was and you raised your hand "Excuse me, Can I use the restroom"

Divus gave a nod, "Yes go right ahead"

you slipped your phone away into the skirt pocket, before you left the classroom and started hurry where Idia was which wasn't too far away, and once there you caught your breath as you went to see him huddle with his hood on underneath the stairs

you carefully approached him as your ears drooped, "Idia"

Idia's golden eyes widened as he looked up to see you, and without thinking he reached out as he wrapped his arms around you which caught you off guard for a second

"You...you really came" he whispered

you nodded and rubbed his back as you felt him shaking, all the while he held onto you tighter but you did move an inch as you held onto him while he started to calm down a little

you started, "Has It always been this way"

Idia closed his eyes, "Ever since I came here...but It got worse when I became Dorm Leader...which I never even wanted to be I...I'm not cut out to lead anyone"

you nodded, "I understand...but Idia, If they chose you to be the dorm leader they made a great decision"

Idia's eyes widened, you then continued "you're very talented and so smart, no one else know Magical tech like you and you even know how to fix whole systems on your own...not everyone can do that"

the tips of Idia's hair turned pink along with his cheeks, but then as he parted to look at you in the eyes as you felt your own cheeks become warm all the while you looked at each other

"You...you don't mean that do you?"

"why wouldn't I, that's what I think about you"

Idia then eased his hold on you as he felt butterflies in his stomach, "I...uh"

"No one's said that about me before...Thanks"

you smiled In response but then Idia grabbed your hand, "Thank you for being here for me...I...I mean you're really something amazing"

a blush came to your cheeks, and without knowing your tail started to curl behind you

you felt a flutter In your heart at his words, and you started to feel butterflies as well in your stomach as you felt he was very sweet but you wondered why you felt so warm in your chest

just then you realized, "Oh, I have to go back I told a fib to get out of class"

Idia was surprised, "You...you lied for me?"

"Yes, I don't know if I'll be able to do this again but If something happens like this please tell me okay"

you gave him one last hug before you jumped up to leave, quickly heading back to your classroom as Idia came to his feet all the while he watched you leave

Idia then brought both hands over his heart, "Ack! what's wrong with this thing!"

he felt it hammering in his chest, and he was totally calm so It wasn't from the panic attack as you're presence helped him to get back down to earth.
