Idia's Dilemma Chap.13

Two months had passed at Night Raven College and all was going great, It was November now which meant the weather had become cold and exams were currently coming up soon which had everyone on the grind to study, including yourself and you'd studied with Idia to help each other prepare for them, but lately Idia started to feel differently about you and he didn't understand why, you were close friends now and Idia tried ignoring whatever that was knocking in the back of his mind, but It was starting to become more and more hard to fight It or understand It like the way his heart hammered whenever you smiled, or the way your eyes lit up when you were talking about something that you liked all of it made him feel something.

Ortho had returned to Ignihyde to get Idia out the bed, It was in the morning and classes would start soon but his older brother was reluctant to leave his room these days, In which Ortho was confused about but he brushed that aside for the moment as he went to their room

Ortho peeked his head inside the door, "Big Brother It's time to wake up!"

Idia turned over in bed as he brought the blanket over his head, and Ortho flew over 

he pulled the blanket off, "Brother you have to go!"

"I don't have to do anything!"

Ortho let out a sigh, "big brother...what's with you these days you've become a shut In again"

Idia groaned and sat up, "I've always been a shut In It's just that now...."

Ortho smiled, "you've changed because of (Y/n)"

Idia's face became red and he quickly hid underneath the blankets "No!"

Ortho giggled, "you totally have! It's obvious"

"F...Fine maybe I have! maybe the world isn't so bad and a coward like me wants to try!"

Ortho walked over and pulled the blanket off to see Idia curled up, he then touched his head

"Big Brother...you should talk to her you know, It's been a week and I know you haven't talked to her at all"

Idia bit his lip, "I haven't because I....I don't know what to say right now"

Idia ran a hand through his hair, "I feel...lost"

"Why?"

the tips of his hair became pink and he shook his head "N...Nothing!"

"Okay then, now go get dressed" said Ortho

Idia let out a dragged out sigh as he got out the bed and went to go brush his teeth, all the while he looked at his face in the mirror before he washed It. after he took a shower he got dressed in his usual attire before he put on his headphones as he listened to Premo

Idia smoothed through his hair before he put on his shoes and left, all the while Ortho followed him but then as soon as Idia's favorite song came on he started humming along, but then a smile came to his face as he remembered you did Karaoke to that on Ortho's birthday, It wasn't a duet but you and him sang it together, Idia's smile became softer as he continued thinking

but then he stopped as he felt his heart hammering away again, "Ack!"

"What's wrong Idia?"

Idia shook his head, "n...nothing!"

Ortho did a health scan over Idia as he used his system, "your heartbeat is beating above normal levels, which is usually the cause of fright, happiness, distress or....love"

Idia's eyes widened, "Love!?"

Ortho smiled, "Yep! and with how you've been this whole time I can guess that's it...how wonderful you really do like (Y/n)!"

Idia looked around frantically, "O...Ortho stop, p...please don't talk so loud"

just as several of the dorm students looked their way and Idia ushered Ortho away quickly, 

"Why're you hiding It big brother?"

Idia blushed, "I...I'm not hiding anything!"

Idia started biting his nails, "besides she can do way better then me...I'm no Prince or perfect guy that you'd see in those romances...I'm just me"

Ortho let out a sigh, he then made Idia sit down, "Now Listen Big Brother! (Y/n)'s an Otaku too and she likes the things you like, what makes you think she can do better"

Idia was at a loss for words, "I...I she just can...."

"That's not a good excuse!"

Idia stood up and quickly tried to leave "why do I even need to make an excuse for! and why am I talking to you about this anyway"

he headed to get some food for his breakfast which was a bowl of cereal, It was the type of sugary one that they'd eaten while growing up but he loved It, and he sat down to eat It

"Oh Hey (Y/n)!"

Idia's face went red and his hair turned pink, "EEP!"

he whipped around to look but not see you there as Ortho stood there with his arms crossed

"Ortho...that's not nice,"

Ortho came closer, "I'm sorry big brother but you left me no choice, I may not know what romantic love is all that well but I can see the way you look at her now...It's different"

Idia got another spoonful of cereal as he chewed while thinking about what he said

"Big brother you should own up to your feelings"

Idia nearly choked and Ortho patted his back, "Wh...what feelings!?"

"the feelings you've had for (Y/n) since you met!"

Idia then brought his hands to his head, "Don't say It!"

Idia ate his cereal quickly before he put his headphones on to leave the dorm, and he left Ignihyde as he headed through the hallway but just as you made your way out Savanaclaw

you looked to see Idia, you smiled as you called to him "Idia!"

Idia kept walking as his music was up so he didn't hear you, and so you went to catch up 

you tapped his shoulder, "Idia?"

Idia looked to see you and he fumbled, "EEK!"

you jumped in surprise as he started to take off running away from you, feeling hurt you wondered if you did something wrong, but it was like this for a while anyway and you didn't understand why he was ignoring you all of a sudden

you brought a hand to your heart as you felt it ache, "Idia..."

just then Ortho stopped beside you, "Oh (Y/n)! have you seen my brother".

"Yeah he went that way, but...I don't understand why he ran away from me"

Ortho was surprised, "He ran away? oh...."

Ortho looked to see the saddened look on your face, "I'm sorry...he's been running from me too"

"Why?"

Ortho had to lie, "He's going through something right now I think"

right around the corner Idia stood as he panted, all the while his face was red and his heart was racing but not because of the running but because you were there 

"What am I doing...."

Idia then clenched his jacket, "no more Importantly what is she doing to me?".
