Gion Matsuri Festival:Kimono shopping

(Three months timeskip;July)

*Dan's pov* 

"Hey guys,in a couple days it's going to be the Gion Matsuri in Kyoto in a couple days!"Shun exclaims 

"Wow,that sounds so cool!" Lia shrieks 

"I know right?" Wynton agrees 

"Will there be food???"I ask 

"Yes,Dan there will be plenty of food,"Shun comforts 

"Aw yeah!" 

"Pffft...all Dan cares about is the food!"Wynton states 

"That's all Dan needs." 

"Wait, doesn't it mean it's in Japan if it's in Kyoto?"Lia questions 

"Precisely.And I'll be taking all of you there,but first we have to do some shopping for traditional Japanese clothes."Shun mentions 

"Like,a kimono?"Lia says 

"Mhm!" 

"Hmmm,could I invite someone?"Lia wonders 

"Sure!Who would you like to invite?"Shun asks 

"Magnus."Lia smirks and looks my way while Shun giggles. 

"Wha-why are you guys laughing???"I demand, feeling my cheeks tint a crimson red.

"Oh you know why!" Lia teases 

Wynton and Ajit stare from me to Lia and back to me. 

"I have no idea what's going on."Ajit mumbles 

"Me neither," Wynton says 

"Okay sure,invite him."Shun urges 

"Okay." 

So I call up Magnus 

"Hi Magnus-" 

"Please don't tell me your calling because you're hungry again."Magnus says 

"Ha!I am actually,but anyways.How would you like to come  to the Gion Matsuri Festival with us?"I ask 

No response. 

"I take that as a yes,"Ajit informs

"Ajit says he takes it as a yes." 

"Ugh,fine.If it makes you happy.Also,why do you invite me to literally everything you guys do?"Magnus questions and two magenta spots appear on my cheeks. 

"It wasn't me!It was Lia!" 

"Oh." 

"Anyways,shun says you'll have to come shopping with us." 

"Why?" 

"So we can dress traditionally!"I reply 

"Fine.Where do I meet you guys?Magnus grumbles  

"Near the park."I state.I know you can't hear smiles,but i swear I can hear Magnus smiling.  

"Bye Dan."He says in a softer tone then usual which takes me by surprise

"Bye Magnus!See you there!" 

Lia and Shun are whispering and giggling about something,I wonder what. 

"I'm going to pay.For everything."Shun decalres 

 "Shun!"Lia yells 

"Uh oh!"Wynton warns 

"Yes.As a thanks from me to you guys." 

"Shun,if you think you're going to get away with it,think again.DO YOU THINK I'M BROKE OR SOMETHING? HUH?!"Lia screams 

"RUN!!!!"Shun yells 

We run out of the house and down the street.Lia when she's mad is scary,like REALLY scary.

"Lia! It's not like that!It wasn't meant to be an insult!I'm sure your fully capable of paying!"Shun comforts 

"WELL YOU DIDN'T SOUND LIKE IT!"Lia shrieks 

"Lia,okay okay!You can pay!Just grab your money!" Wynton yells 

Magnus approaches. 

"Why is Lia running the other direction?" 

"Shun insisted on covering the full cost and then Lia went all phsyco so we ran.Trust me,Lia is scary when she's mad.So we let her pay."Wynton explains 

"I think she just doesn't wanna feel like she's incapable of doing stuff."Shun mumbles

"Yeah, that's probably it."Ajit agrees

"I'm back!"Lia informs

"Yes!!! I'm SOOOOO tired of waiting!! Let's just go already!"I whine 

"Geez,you gotta have more paitence Dan".Ajit says  

* * * 

"So this is the place." 

"Wow!" We chorus. There are all types of authentic Japanese clothing.I can't wait! 

"I believe it's the fifth floor,"Shun clarifies 

We scour racks and racks of kimonos.Lia finds a silky sky blue one with an Azure umbrella.Shun doesn't get anything because he had one back home.Ajit selects a mustard yellow haori with triangles  and a black kimono.Magnus decides on a plain midnight purple haori and black kimono.Wynton picks a plain olive green kimono and I choose a black and red kimono embroidered with Japanese writing and a dragon in gold.

I can't wait to get to the festival!
