"God shut up mom!" Maggie said hysterically laughing in the backseat next to her brother Michael. "All I'm saying is maybe! You could get yourself a boyfriend here in Santa Carla! It's an opportunity for new relationships" she tried to explain. "Yeah Mags! You could get yourself a little boyfriend" Sam teased in the front seat earning a quick slap on the shoulder from Maggie in the back. "Ow, mom!" "Stop it, you guys!" Then everybody soon went silent until Sam spoke up again. "Ergh what's that smell?" Sam asked then Lucy took a long deep breath in and said "ah! That's the ocean air!" "Smells like someone died" Sam exclaimed "Shut up Sam it's nice!" Maggie shouted "no it's not it's gross!" he quickly shouted back. "Stop arguing you guys" Michael spoke up
Michael and Maggie had heard rumours about the fact that Santa Carla was the "murder capital of the world" which was pretty worrying but they didn't really pay any attention to it, well at least they didn't tell Sam. Knowing how it would worry him even more.
"Look anyway we are almost here," Lucy said with a smile "Great! Any longer being in a car with Sam I might end up killing somebody!" Maggie screamed "Hey hey no shouting! You'll scare Nanook!" Lucy whispered "Okay okay sorry!"
"Mom can we just stop for like 5 minutes please!" Sam pleaded "Okay okay we'll get out for 5 minutes and have a look around" then she pulled over into a nearby carpark and they all got out. "God there's so many people here!" Maggie exclaimed looking around really taking in the views that she was seeing.
"Uh, mom me and Mike will go and have a look around okay?" Maggie said "Oh okay just stay safe," she said Soon enough they both sped off and started walking around
"Shit I need to get a job-" Michael sighed "Oh God me too.." "I guess we'll just have to ask around?" Michael said shrugging his shoulder "Yeah..." then Michael approached a man that was resting his arm against a wooden box
"Uh excuse me? Any jobs around here?" Michael asked "Not legal" he quickly replied "Oh- uh we're okay thank you," Maggie said with a smile and then pulled Michael away.
"What the fuck" she said laughing "Weirdos," Michael said with the same reaction
Then they both walked away "Well, I guess we could find a bike to buy?" Michael said "Yeah, that sounds cool. What about over there?" she said pointing at a red motorbike. He quickly walked over to the stand and brought it
"Pretty cool" Mags said admiring the bike Michael just nodded then Lucy came back around and said "come on guys let's go now!"
At grandpa's house They soon pulled into grandpa's driveway and stopped. "Oh my God is that grandpa?" Maggie said hopping out of the car. It was grandpa, he was led across the porch "He's dead!" Michael shouted "He's not dead he's just a deep sleeper" "If he's dead does that mean we go back to Phoenix?" Sam asked "Shut up Sam!" Maggie shouted
Then thankfully he shot up and said "playing dead. And doing a good job at it too" earning laughs from everybody else there "Dad!" Lucy said wrapping her arms around him
Once everybody had moved in Michael, Maggie and Sam decided it would be a good idea to head down to the boardwalk
