There seems to be a lot of words that describe Molly Montgomery.

And 'simple' was definitely not one of them.

Molly is a fire, scathing at your fingertips. She is suffocation, from your deepest past. She is fear, unraveling like a ball of yarn. She is hope, discovery, and courage, all collided into one. Molly is all of those things, but most of all, she is stubborn.

"Molly—"

"It's Ollie." She refuted, short temper rising at the detectives' questions, "I go by Ollie."

"Okay, Ollie," The detective dismissed with a wave of his hand, "I need you to tell me what happened tonight—and the past couple of days, weeks if you must."

"I—don't know." She said through grit teeth, hands clenching and unclenching as she racked her brain for what to say, "A lot of shit happened."

"Yes, we understand that. Your friends—are in critical condition." He responded calmly, "We need to know why."

"Why?" She tilted her head, "I feel like you should know why at this point. Isn't it a little obvious that—"

"We need specifics." He nodded strictly, "This is purely for your sake."

She sighed, slumping against the metal chair she was handcuffed to, "Where do you want me to start?"

"The beginning."

"Well I have to admit this is a pretty confusing timeline Sir, are you sure you want everything?" She raised an eyebrow, shifting in her seat.

"Yes. I am sure." He nodded solemnly, pressing down on the 'record' button along the table. The tape beginning to whir slowly.

She leaned her head back, starting at the asbestos tiled ceiling as she thought for a long moment, "It was the maybe mid-September...about 7 months after the initial court hearing..."

"Are we allowed to talk without our lawyers present?" Ollie asked, keeping a good distance away from Parker.

"I don't want to talk about—the situation."

"Than what do you want to talk about?"

This unexpected visit didn't make sense to Ollie in the slightest. First, her and Parker quite literally could not talk in private matters, it was illegal. And second, Parker and Ollie alike didn't want anything to do with each other, especially with the sides they fell upon. But Parker was standing on her doorstep, straight-faced, and calm. It felt oddly surreal. This was her house. Her place. And a man she's seen in her nightmares was there. Living, breathing, existing.

Alas, Ollie was always a quite curious person.

And, sometimes, curiosity kills the cat.

But, Ollie was not a cat.

"I suppose we could categorize it with 'the situation." Parker swept through his curls clumsily, "But it's for your sake—I'm not sure anyone besides you would be content with this information."
