walking out of my last period, i felt my body hit a locker.

"listen here, robins mine now. got it? i don't wanna see you with him or anything, he's mine" casey smith said, her hands on either side of my shirt, pinning me down.

"i don't give a fuck who's yours. you can have him" i said, taking my leg and kneeing her in the stomach so she would let go of me.

"ugh, you ruined my shirt" she said, her voice higher than usual.

"god, do you ever shut up?" i asked, turning around and walking away.

i walked to my locker to see gwen, finney and sammy all standing there.

"are you guys ready to go?" i ask walking up to them.

they nod their head and we start walking.

"what was that back there?" finney asks, referring to casey and i.

"she just wanted to tell me that robins hers and i needed to stay away from him" i said to them.

"i hope they aren't dating. last time they dated they were super toxic and they aren't good together" gwen said.

"i mean their both bitches" i said.

"y/n" sammy said.

"what?" i asked, shrugging.

she just mouthed stop to me and i rolled my eyes.

the fair grounds wasn't that far from our school so we could just walk.

i stole some cash from my dad this morning for it.

it's not like he's going to notice it's gone.

we got to the fair and we all payed and got our wrist bands.

"what do you guys want to first?" finney asked.

"how about rides?" gwen asked.

we all agreed and got in line for the first ride.

while we were in line, i saw vance and his friends.

"y/n, your brother is coming over here" sammy said.

"ugh, shit" i said.

"y/n, why didn't you tell me you were going with these dipshits" he practically yelled.

"vance, lower your voice. and you weren't home, and why do i have to tell you who im with" i said to him.

"i just want you to be safe y/n, that's all" vance said.

"since when? you're always out playing that stupid pinball game while i'm always the one getting beat" i said to him.

i must of forgot were i was because both finney and gwen turned to look at me.

"whatever vance, just let me have this night, yeah" i said to him.

"god y/n, you're so dramatic but whatever. i'll see you at home" vance said, walking away with his friends.

"y/n, what do you mean by always getting beat?" gwen asked.

"nothing gwen, it's nothing. let's just have a fun night" i said.

it wasn't brought up again that night.

we got on the ride and it was fun.

it was 4 to a row so i sat down kind of in the middle, sammy was on my right and finney was on my left.

we got off of that ride and went on a couple more rides.

after that, we were hungry so we decided to get somthing to eat.

"how about that stand over there" sammy pointed out.

we walked over and noticed robin and casey standing next to the stand.

"why are they everywhere" sammy said.

"i think they follow us" i replied.

gwen let out a laugh and we made our way to the stand and got in line.

it was our turn to order and i wasn't that hungry so i just got cotton candy.
(sorry if you don't like it, you could get something different 🤷‍♀️)

we got all of our food and started walking away when we heard someone calling for finney.

"finn" robin said.

"hi robin, hi casey" finney said.

"hi finney, hi gwen. omg y/n and sammy i didn't expect you to be here" casey said.

"well it's the fair" i said rolling my eyes.

"you know y/n, you roll your eyes a lot, i would be careful there. they might get stuck like that" casey said, earning a laugh out of robin.

"shut up casey, you fuck so many guys, im surprised you're not pregnant by now" i said to her.

"what in gods name is your problem?" robin asked.

"you cunt" i said, getting pulled away by sammy.

"y/n just forget about them. don't let them ruin your night" sammy said, walking around the conner back to the rides.

"yeah you're right" i said.

"out of sight, out of mind" sammy said, poking the side of my head.

i just gave her a smile, which she returned.

we went on more rides until we noticed the time.

"we should probably get going" finney said.

"same" i said.

"we'll see you guys tomorrow" gwen said, smiling.

"you too gwen and finney" i said before turning the other away and walking.

me and sammy walked to our houses.

her house was a couple houses past mine, so she dropped me off.

"you sure you don't want me to walk with you?" i asked.

"i'm sure y/n, plus your dad is probably still up" sammy said.

"true, just don't want you getting kidnapped or anything" i said, jokingly.

"yeah yeah, goodnight y/n. see you tomorrow" sammy said.

"goodnight sammyy" i said to her.

i opened the gate on the fence and started walking up to my house.

when i got inside, my dad was asleep on the couch with the tv still on and a beer bottle in one hand.

i went and took the beer bottle out of his hand but didn't bother turning the tv off.

vance can do something for once.

i went upstairs to my room and changed into more comfortable clothes.

i got into my bed and laid down.

so many thoughts were going through my head, but one more than the others.

why was he going out with her?

and why did i care so much?
