takemichi yawned, slowly sitting up

"hmm, what time is it...." takemichi slowly checked his watch eyes widening when he looked at the time

he immediately jumped out of bed to get ready, he was starting a new job today

he was a bit nervous, he had just turned 17 a week ago and decided it's time to apply for a job he enjoys

he used to work in a dvd store but he knew it wasn't his calling

he lives alone in a three bedroom house, his parents passed away when he was younger and his uncle took him in, well kind of

his uncle lives overseas in America, takemichi had the choice to join him but he was more comfortable in Japan

so his uncle gave him his 'holiday home' to live in, all takemichi had to do was work and provide for himself while his uncle pays for the bills and school fees

he was very grateful for his uncle, even if he misses the fatherly and motherly affection

he was quite lonely

but hopefully at this new job, he will make some new friends

he managed to arrive at 'flower cafe' just on time

he was grateful because he really didn't want to be late for his first job

the moment he walked in he was hit with the lovely smell of fresh flowers, the inside suited the name

"hello! you must be hanagaki correct?" a young female happily greeted him at the door

she was wearing a tight striped shirt with semi baggy black pants, she had a black and white apron with pink and blue detailing on top

it surprisingly wasn't too bad of a uniform, takemichi thought he'd look decent in it

"yes I am!" takemichi liked her energy, she was energetic but not too over the top, her and takemichi could be great friends

"good! you're just on time!" she responded happily " I'm akari nomura, the manager of this lovely restaurant! follow me and we can get you ready for your first day"

"sure I'd love to!" takemichi found his new manager very welcoming

nomura led takemichi to the back and started getting his uniform ready while explaining how the restaurant worked

"we have 3 waitresses working on floor today including you and me, today is one of our busy days but unfortunately we're short staffed"

"you have a little experience with customer service so I'm sure you'll do perfect, im positive you'll be a customer favourite with those looks of yours" takemichi blushed at the statement, nomura saw but continued

"believe it or not we actually get a lot of delinquents in here" takemichi froze a little at the mention of the word delinquent, nomura noticed "but don't worry, they never cause any problems, I think they only come here because it's close to their 'hangout spot' or something"

nomura beamed when she finally found takemichi's uniform "yes here it is! go put it on and get straight to work, that took longer than expected" , "okay thankyou very much nomura-san!" takemichi was very excited
