Harry huffed, dialing Louis's number yet again, why wouldn't he answer?
Oh wait. Right. But if Louis would answer than he could, at least try, to explain to him the situation and beg or his forgiveness. He ran his speech over in his mind again and again as he dialed Louis's number.
What could he say? Hey Louis sorry I left you alone on a hill after I insulted you on a topic I knew would bother you and didn't defend you when my friend called you a fag, but I'm just embarrassed to be seen with you, are we cool?
Yeah, okay.
And if that wasn't enough, Harry was legitimately worried for his life with Zahra around. He liked her, really, he even considered her one of his best friends, but he knew for a fact she was ready to beat his ass for hurting Louis.
And he couldn't go to Niall, the little fucker would probably tell Zahra.
Harry groaned, running his hand through his hair. Then, an idea struck him, and he was actually pretty proud of himself for thinking of a mature plan.
"MOMMY!" Harry cried.
Anne came running in the room, her eyebrows furrowed.
"Harry? Are you alright?" She said, sitting down next to him.
"I need help." He sighed, wrapping his arms around his mother.
"Harry, does this have anything to do with Louis?" Anne mumbled, kissing Harry's forehead.
"Maybe."
"What happened?" Anne tensed, going into mama bear mode.
"It was my fault, we were trick or treating, and I saw Liam, but I didn't want him to see me with Lou, so I yelled at Louis until he ran off, and I think he was crying, and now his best friend, who scares the shit out of me sometimes, is probably mad at me. And I can't go to Niall because he's so far up her ass-"
"Excuse me?" Anne sat up, eyes wide.
"What? I mean, he has strong loyal feelings for her." Harry said delicately.
Anne gave him a warning look, and he grinned sheepishly.
"Harry, why can't Liam see you with Louis, Louis is a sweet boy."
"Because, if they see me with him, they'll know I'm gay, and I won't have any friends, and I don't know what will happen if they don't accept me, Liam's been my best friend since grade school, so I don't know if I will lose him."
Anne sighed, rubbing Harrys back.
"Harry, I think the reason your friends don't like gays is because they don't know them, it's a foreign territory, something they don't understand, and I think that if you tell them about you, it may take some time, but in the end, your true friends will accept you, and if they don't? Fuck them."
Harry sat up, mouth open in shock.
"Mom? Did you just swear?" Harry laughed.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't help it."
"Does this mean I can curse?"
"Sure, if you're prepared to move out."
"Anyway," Harry said quickly, "You're saying that I should tell them and whoever accepts me are my real friends?"
"Well, yes, but I said it longer."
Harry sighed, nodding, the knot in his stomach lessening slightly.
"Thanks mom." Harry smiled.
"You're welcome sweetheart, I love you, no matter what."
"Love you too."
Harry stood up, sighing for the 7392973rd time.
"Is it okay if I go over to Niall's?" Harry asked.
Anne nodded, and Harry waved goodbye, heading down the street to face God knows what.
