A Few Weeks Later...
It's been a couple of weeks since Ace and Naruto's fight, and surprisingly, things have been going smoother than Naruto had anticipated. Living with the bandits has grown on him. The rugged group treats him like a little brother, teasing him but also looking out for him. They've even started helping with his training. Naruto never thought he'd fit in with a bunch of bandits, but the way they ruffle his hair or throw him a grin when he does well makes it feel like home.
Naruto is also growing closer to Luffy, and their bond feels natural. The two boys love sneaking away from chores to fish by the river, competing to see who can catch the biggest fish. They've developed a tradition of visiting the local pub afterward, stuffing themselves with ramen bowls, and leaving everyone amazed by their endless appetites.
When the two boys aren't eating, they're brainstorming. They spend hours coming up with combo attacks—some absurd, others ingenious—imagining how they'll use them one day in battles. Luffy calls one of their signature moves the "Whirlwind Punch," which combines Naruto's speed and Luffy's stretching ability, though it's still a work in progress.
Garp and Naruto's bond has grown stronger too. Garp now sees Naruto as one of his grandsons—maybe even his favorite—though he'd never admit it. Instead, he shows his affection through small gestures, like treating Naruto to bowls of ramen and taking him on fishing trips. Occasionally, Garp takes Naruto camping and reminds Naruto of the good times he had with Jiraiya.
However, things between Naruto and Ace remain... complicated. Every time they train together, it turns into a competition, both of them trying to outdo the other. Whether it's sparring or target practice, they're always trying to one-up each other. If they happen to be in the same room for too long, they'll inevitably find something to argue about.
Despite opening up a little more to everyone...he still is hiding a secret.—one he hasn't dared to share with anyone. The existence of the Nine-Tailed Fox is a weight that clings to him. He's terrified that if Garp, Luffy, or anyone else discovered the truth, they'd reject him just like the villagers in Konoha did. That fear runs deeper than any other, haunting him every time he sees their smiles or hears their laughter. Naruto isn't ready to risk losing this new family he's found—not yet. So, he hides the truth, burying it deep within himself, hoping that maybe—just maybe—he'll never have to tell them at all.

Naruto and Luffy lay sprawled on a grassy hill as they stared up at the sky dotted with fluffy white clouds that drifted lazily by.
"Hey, Naruto," Luffy began.
"Yeah?" Naruto replied, turning his head slightly to meet Luffy's gaze.
"What do you think it's going to be like when we sail across the ocean?" Luffy asked.
