Demetri Volturi POV

Stress took hold of me, I didn't want this young woman to die when I had just met her. I heard her growl. I moved quickly - at human speed - near her. The woman piled her the clothes that were planned to be purchased under her head as the young girl shook with tremors.

I could hear from the heartbeat that the woman was stressed about the situation as well.

“Here I am Mia Cara. " She said.

My gaze froze when I saw the eyes of the one who had marked me so much, her black pupils had dilated to such an extent that her blue irises were almost no longer visible. Her head was spinning from side to side as she seemed lost with what she was going through.

Sweat was dripping from her forehead and drool was coming out of her mouth and I could hear her heart beating so fast I was afraid it would let go. I turned around near the lady.

"What's happening to her?” I asked.

The young woman sighed trying hard to hold the head of the young woman who was shaking. She turned to us.

“That poor little girl is having an epileptic seizure again. She's been doing about four or five a week since she was a baby.”

She was starting to chatter her teeth and the young woman was staring at her and I could see she was stressed, she was staring at her watch as time passed. I leaned over hearing the click of a chain and looked at the girl's wrist. I gently grabbed this one. The feel of her skin against mine gave me a slight shiver. I turned the bracelet and there was a medical logo and the word EPILEPSY engraved on it.

She continued to tremble and her gaze stared into space. The lady stared at her watch again and turned to me. The girl's tremors increased.

“I have to call an ambulance. Her seizure has been going on for five minutes. Hold her neck for safety to avoid any cranial shock and absolutely keep her mouth closed so that she avoids breaking her teeth.”

I did not speak and I did not flinch but by fixing the young woman, I felt her pain through my whole body. I couldn't imagine what she was going through right now. I leaned over and kept her mouth shut, not giving a damn about her drool. I leaned her head on the clothes and using my supernatural strength I immobilized her without however hurting her. The lady making sure she was correct, got up and walked to her counter.

“Alec.” I whispered. “Help her.”

“ I can't.” he whispered. “There are too many cameras and a witness.”

I let out a groan and turned to the young woman while her tremors didn't diminish at all but they were less worse considering the pressure that I exerted on her body.

“Yes Maria, send your nearest ambulance. The little one is having another seizure and it's been over five minutes and she's still shaking and she hasn't regained consciousness.”

"I have one a block away, I contacted them they will be there in a minute."

"Thanks. Tell them not to turn on their flash so as not to make the situation worse.”

 "It goes without saying.”

The lady hung up her phone. She turned to us.
