Silas pov

"So did you have the girl in your last class?" Ezra teased. "yes i do, and her name is R-Roselle."

He smirked nudging me in my side. "Did you talk to her at all for you to know her name?" I shook my head letting out a sigh.

"Come on Silas try and talk to her. I bet she'd be the one willing to wait for you!" We came to a stop when we reached my car and we had to say our goodbyes.

"Goodbye Silas, and think about what I said!" I nodded my head giving him a hug before opening the car door and settling myself in the backseat.

"How was school sweetie?" My mother had a blissful tone that could make anyone happy in a matter of seconds. "It was good. I met this new girl today." I said with a bit of disappointment that I didn't even try and talk to her.

My mother gave me a glance in the rear view mirror with a slight frown. "You didn't try to talk to her today did you?" She questioned.

"How could you tell?" She looked back at the road shrugging. "Maybe because of the tone you had when you said you met the new girl."

I groan rubbing my face with the palm of my hands. "Ezra said I should give it a chance, and try to talk to her."

"I agree with Ezra. You never know she could be different." I let my head fall back closing my eyes. "When I looked away from her for the second time when she tried to talk to me she said she'd try again tomorrow."

We got out of the car walking into our home my mother went straight into the kitchen to cook, and when Lucian heard the both of us he came down.

"Silas! You're back!" I gave him a smile extending my arms out at him as he jumped up for me to carry him. He played with my hair giggling at the funny styles he'd make.

I'd tickle him on the couch and he'd laugh loudly making me laugh. "Alright, alright." My mother said.

"I made food for the both of you it's on the table." Lucian and I looked at each other with a smirk before running over to beat one another to the table.

"I win loser!" My brother yelled. I rolled my eyes flicking his forehead making him rub the area where it hurt.

My mother came back into the dining room sitting down with us. She rubbed her hands over her face running her hands through her hair. She then rested her head in the palm of her hands letting out a sigh.

"Is everything okay, mom?" She looked up at me smiling nodding her head. "Of course everything okay! I just need to have a word with you later that's all."

I gave her a slow nod continuing to eat the food that was left on my plate. My mother left the dining area going back to her room.

Lucian and I finished our food at the same time. I washed the dishes drying them before putting them up. "Come on Silas! Let's go play in my room!" He said while tugging on my arm.

"I will buddy! I just need to go talk to mom, but I'll meet you in your room when I'm done." I kneeled down cupping both sides of his face so I can kiss his forehead.

He pouted while still holding onto my arm. He lifted his free hand only holding his pinky out. "You promise?" I intertwined my pinky with his smiling. "I promise."

He smiled quickly giving me a kiss on the forehead before running up the stairs to his room. I lifted myself off the floor walking the other direction towards my mothers room.

I knocked quietly and heard a faint voice. "come in!" I slowly opened the door walking in and gently closing the door behind me.

"Oh, you're finally here!" my mother sounded cheerful. She pointed over to her vanity before I could walk over to her. "Grab my jewelry box, please?"

I nodded my head walking over to her vanity picking up the box filled with all her jewelry. I walked over to her setting it down in her hands.

I sat on the end of the bed watching as she opened the box looking for something inside. Her room door opened making me look over to see my father walking in and lay his stuff on the ground.

He walks over to his side of the bed letting himself fall onto it. He looks over at my mother and I and smiles. "You're finally giving it to him?"

My mother only smiled nodding her head. My dad leaned up resting his body against the headboard.

Her eyes lit up when she found what she was looking for. "I found it!" She quickly closed the box handing it to my dad.  He rested it on the nightstand watching as she scooted closer to me.

"Close your eyes." I looked at her confused at her request. "Why?" She moved her hand up quickly to my eyes shutting them. "Give me your left hand."

I slowly lifted my hand but she pulled me wrist quickly towards her. "You move so slow, I don't know how Ezra deals with you."

I gasped offended. "I'm offended." I rested my hand above my heart. "Good." She scoffed.

I could hear my father silently chuckling at the both of us. "Open your eyes now." I opened my eyes blinking a few times to adjust my eyesight.

I looked down at my wrist to see a bracelet around it. "What's this for?" I admired how beautiful it looked.

"It's for when you find the person you admire the most. You give it to them when it feels right to you."

I looked at the both of them smiling. I pulled them both in for a hug. "Thank you for this, I love you guys."

"We love you too." I pulled away as she patted my arm. "Well you may want to hurry Lucian is waiting for you."

My eyes widened as I forgot he was waiting for me to play with him. "You're right I have to go."

I quickly hurried up to his room to see him already in his bed asleep. I walked in slowly pulling the cover over his body. "goodnight buddy."

I left his room walking to mine. I layed down looking at my wrist that contained the bracelet wrapped around it.

It looked so beautiful that I probably wouldn't want to give it away.
