It has been 2 years since everything is over and done with
After the final fight, Muichiro and I moved into a new house, positioned within the woods of the Sagiri mountain where I spend my recovering period
Then, we decided that we wanted to live here forever, as we settled down in the middle of the woods, but only 10 minutes walk away from where Urokodaki-sensei and Giyu live
As for the rest of the Hashira, they started living their ideal life too, being almost every corner of Japan
Sure, some of us would often meet up with one another, for example, Muichiro and would visit Gyomei and Obanai who still lives in their Estate, once a fortnight
Today however, is more special than ever
After being apart for 2 years, me and Muichiro have decided to invite everyday Hashira over to our house tonight, and celebrate the 2 years anniversary since that big battle
For that historical moment is surely special for all of us
During this 2 years, Muichiro's memory has improved, as he gradually starts to remember more, and now he is able to remember things within the past week, which I think is a big improvement
"Y/n-channnnnn"
Hearing the familiar voice from behind, a pair of arms are wrapped around me before I could even turn around
Taking a pause from organising our garden, I stood up straight, feeling the boy behind me leaning onto my back, resting his head above mine, his arms tightens around my waist
Smiling at his cute action, I carefully make sure my hand is not touching him, because it is still dirty from dealing with all the plants and watering
He just held onto me for the time being, no words need to be shared to know the appreciation we've always had throughout all these years
"Mui, you need to let me go, I'm covered in dirts, it's going to get you dirty too"
I starts to squirm a little, attempting to escape from his embrace so I can go clean myself, all the sweats and the dirts over my clothes are really getting on my nerves
"But you were all over the place this entire day, your were out before I woke up, to buy things for the night, as soon as you came back you cleaned the entire house, then, you spend the whole afternoon cleaning the garden and decorating things, you didn't even eat anything"
"Everyone is coming tonight Mui, it's a huge night"
"I could've helped you know, so now I am stepping in, I made some ramen following your recipe, come"
He forcefully pulled me into our accommodation, which is designed with a mix of elements from the Nature Estate and the Mist Estate
As soon as I entered the dining room, the attracting scent of ramen surrounded me, from the kitchen
"Go take a shower, the ramen should be ready in a few more minutes"
Muichiro pushed me into the bathroom, where he already prepared clean clothes for me as he left, shutting the door
"Hurry up!"
His voice reached my ears from the other side of the door, before fainting footsteps sounded, indicating that he has gone back to the kitchen
Chuckling at his adorable actions, I never thought he had this side to him before we start to live together, which is when I really begin to get to know him
The fact that he is learning to cook is another surprise for me, I wonder how well it's going to tase
With this massive expectation in mind, I went into the shower, glad that I am finally able to wash off all the dirt and sweats

"Here, eat this, and I'll do the rest of the decoration"
Muichiro pushed the bowl of ramen in front of me, passing me a pair of chopsticks too
"Arigato, Mui-kun"
Smiling at his offer, I gently blow at the still hot ramen before using the chopsticks to get the ramen, it wasn't until now that I realised how starving I really am
As soon as I placed the ramen on my tongue, the absolutely perfect taste of the food spread within my mouth, bringing me immense satisfaction
At this point I am pretty sure that my eyes are shining in happiness, because Muichiro had his lips curled into a very, very soft smile
He left, to go to the bathroom I assume, because when he came back, there's a towel in his hands
Muichiro came behind me, as he starts to dry my hair with the towel, gently, lovingly
Just how enjoyable can life be
2 years ago, I would've never imagined the two of us actually being able to have a peaceful life like this
But here we are, living a life of our own
"There, don't leave your hair wet next time, you'll catch a cold"
Muichiro said, as he removed the towel away, patting my head before giving me a peck on my temple before going onto the finish the rest of the decoration in the living room, which isn't a lot left since majority of the work is already done
Once I finished the ramen, I did the dishes quickly before lying on my futon, relaxing for the first time today
Soon, Muichiro found me as he immediately came to me, he lied down beside me, pulling me close to him, then loosely wrapped his arm around my waist, his breathing soothed as his heartbeat steadied
We have just under half an hour to rest before people starts to arrive, and I want to make to most out of it
I snuggled into his chest, greedily inhaling his minty scent, keeping him all to myself
"You worked really hard today Y/n-chan, I'm so proud, but next time, let me help too okay?"
Muichiro complemented, as he brushes his fingers through my hair, removing all the knots
"Mhm"
I hummed in response, as I reached to peck on his jawline
"I love you, Mui"
I muttered, feeling my eyes getting heavier, exhaustion slowly overtaking my mind
A chuckle is what I hear next, alongside the feeling of another peck on my forehead, as the arms held me firmer
"I love you too, promise"
"Promises"
