The 4PM Book Stacks 1

Amane smiled at her as she looked at the books in his hand and looked back at him. "Willow trees, uh? Are you interested in the seven mysteries?"

"Eh, Yeah. Guess you can say that." I looked back at my books and placed them on the table I was using. "Tsubaki-san, right." Sakura asked pointing at the school's official 'Seven School Mysteries' community-made book. "Tsubaki-san, the one that's like a cat right," She said bluntly placing a few more books that fell back onto the table "W-what?" She then put her hands on top of her head and moved while meowing blankly, I did the same and looked at her with a questioning stare "A cat. . .?"

"Yeah. Don't they have irregular changes in mood or behavior, they're selfish when it comes to their goals and a bit, How do I say this, childish." She leaned on the windowsill right behind her while she fiddled with her hair "Is yours like that too? Like a baby." She asked in wonder looking up at the ceiling 'Is she. . . DOES SHE KNOW TSUBAKI-CHAN!? She is quite selfish, her mood does change radically and she is pretty childish. . . But she's never wanted me to baby her, if anything she babies me! Is she, Tsubaki's girlfriend!??' I looked at her as she turned away and walked to the exit "If you want to know more about her. . . You should go see School Mystery Number 5."

"W-wait!" I ran at her but bumped into Tsuchigomori-sensei by accident "Wh-what are you doing running in the library?" He stuttered, "I-I'm sorry, Sensei, but I have to find someone!" I tried to collect as many falling papers as possible, putting them in a stack, and ran out the door but she was gone.

The next day, I went to my homeroom and found Aoi and Nene cleaning the chalkboard. "Hey Aoi, I was wondering about the fifth School Mystery. Have you heard about it?" She looked at me and smiled ."The fifth of the Seven School Mysteries? Of course, I've heard of it!"

"That's great! So what's the rumor about!?" I asked excitedly "Now, Now Amane, you sure are interested in these stories." Nene said as she patted my shoulder. Aoi sat at her desk as she told us the story "Well, school Mystery Number 5, The 4 pm Book Stacks" She leaned her head on her hands as she spoke. "In this school's library. . . There's a special storeroom that can only be entered at 4 pm. The room is full of books with people's names. Each of these books contains a record of that person's life at the school. What they did here, what they're going to do. Past, Present, and Future- It's all written in that book"

"Like a person's records," I repeated to her "Even the future uh? How curious" Yashiro said out loud "Makes you just wanna read it, right!" Aoi replied cupping her face as the other girl blushed 'So Sakura was just telling me to. . . go and find Tsubaki's books?'

"What about you Amane-kun?" Nene turned to me and smiled "I, uh, I guess I'd like to read someone else's book too. . .?" I questioned "I know right? We all want to know things about people!" Yashiro said as she clasped her hands together. Aoi leaned in and whispered to us "Well, if you do go to the 4 pm Book Stacks. . . You have to be careful."

"Careful?" Me and Yashrio questioned "There are three kinds of books in the Book Stacks; White, Black, and Red. The white ones have records of people who are alive. The black ones are records of people who have died. And those two kinds are okay. . . But the red books, those are the ones you should never read."

'Mystery Number 5. . . If I could find Tsubaki-san's book there' I thought to myself as I walked through the school halls 'I want to read it, but I don't know If I want to go by myself. The 4 pm Book Stacks sounds so scary, maybe I could ask Sakura more about it but she's the one who told me. Maybe Tsubaki can come with me? But if I take Tsubaki I won't be able to read her book' I racked my head wondering what other possible options I could find and that's when I heard his voice.
