(Y/n) sat down wiping her face clean as Tsuchigomori leaned against the wall next to her "So what happened? Things must be getting rough if you started crying like a little baby" He mused patting her head, she groaned swatting his away while blowing her nose "Quit that! I'm not a little kid and I'm not telling you anything" She huffed tossing the tissue away "Yeah I figured, you two really are a pain in my butt ya'know" He sighed looking up at the ceiling
The girl stood next to him and looked up at the stars, feeling the breeze against her face as she inhaled the fresh summer air "Y̸͙̭̾̑͘u̵̞̲͖͒̾̒g̸̩̼̾ḯ̶̢͉͂ told me he found a Lunar rock yesterday when he 'wasn't going anywhere'" Tsuchigomori laughed looking down at her "He also said he wanted to stay here" he noticed the girl flinch at his words "You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?" He pressed making her shiver and shuffle away from him
"I have no reason to tell you anything, his secrets are his own and that's that" She replied looking down at the bandages "Did he ramble about the stars to you too?" She asked pointing at the chalkboard "More than 380,000 kilometers away, uh?" She read the number on the board "What a nerd bet he'd be a good teacher when he grows up" Tsuchigomori smiled patting her head "He sure would, what about you? Got any plans for your future?"
She snickers swatting away his hand "Not sure, maybe I would teach math? I never really thought that far into the future, what do you think, Sensei" She smiled resting he head against her crossed arms "Hmm, can't say much when not even you know? Wanna see it?" He asked reaching into his pocket and pulled out a small rock. She smiled rubbing her thumb on it, its rough surface scratching her skin "A lunar rock, such a baby" she laughed looking up at him "Keep him safe would you? I'm not sure if I'll still be around to do that and I'd rather have an old fart like you looking over him. Even if we are a pain, you always care for us" She mumbled placing the rock on his palm "So thank you" closing his hand around the rock as the classroom started to shatter like glass
I awake with a jolt, sitting up with wide eyes and gasping for air. I looked around and saw I was in the nurse's room with a blanket over my lower half. Tsuchigomori sitting down on a chair while reading a book, "I see you're awake now"
"Se-sensei?" I mumbled looking up at him "Was that, her?" I asked as my hands clenched around the blanket "The same thing happened with Number 2's Yorishiro, right?" He asked closing the book "You saw the memories housed inside it"
"So, the girl who changed her future was. . ."
Tsuchigomori nodded "(Y/n) (L/n). . . Number 7's Past Self. She was quite unique, moving to Japan just a few years before she died. But that wasn't the most unusual thing about her, before this conversation I had a conversation with a friend of hers. He was deeply impacted by the moon landing. Back then 'I want to go to the moon' was just another dream kids would have so when it became a possibility, suddenly anything felt possible. We could be anything and go anywhere. The world was full of hope so it was a surprise when the friend said 'I'm not going anywhere'. As a teacher, I had to pretend to be worried about both of them"
"Pretend?" I asked looking down at my hands "I am a supernatural, a ghost pretending to be a teacher so I didn't think much about it. I found her book and read her future, she kept close and never said anything but when she did I wasn't surprised because I already knew what she would say. In her book, she would have become a writer, marry a wealthy man, live the perfect she never wanted" He sighed with a dry chuckle, leaning against the bed with his head in his hands "She died young, the same way she would've when she was grown. It was a terrible thing I realized far to late. (Y/n) (L/n) is the second person to make my job a hassle, she knew from a young age her end wasn't happy so she ended it on her own terms. And now, she roams the school trying her best to make sure the cycle never repeats itself as school mystery number 7." He stood up and walked towards the curtains "That's all I can say, whatever you do with this information is up to you. I don't have much power left but I'll try and help you. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here. Remember, I'm still technically your teacher even as a ghost" He smiled before leaving me with my thoughts
The quiet was deafening as tears welled up in my eyes, rolling down cheeks and landing on my hands balling around the fabric of the blanket. The thought of Tsubaki always being unhappy was a hard thing to even consider. With all her childish teasing and flirting it's like a big lie she played. I flinched hearing the sound of footsteps approaching making me quickly wiping away the tears from my face. Tsubaki moved the curtains and smiled warmly at me "Is my assistant doing well?" She asked as tears start to fall down my cheeks again. I covered my face as she ran to me, holding me close while comforting me.
'She's so cold, Tsubaki isn't alive. She's been dead for so long keeping people happy and yet. . . she's not happy herself' "Tsubaki, I'm sorry. I'll be the best friend you'll ever have" I cry out between sobs as I pull on her uniform, hiding my face against her shoulder as she stiffened. I've never returned her hugs before so I'll start with this one, I thought as she rubbed my back "You're far to sweet" She mumbled petting my head. Kou walk in confused as Tsu explained to the best of her ability. He joined the hug and asked all about the boundary I was in.
'I promise you Tsubaki, I'll be the greatest friend you've ever had'

Tsuchigomori looks up at the moon thinking back to a time before the chaos "Sensei" the peaceful quiet was interrupted by the voice of the ghost girl. Her hat casting shadows over her eyes as she walked closer "What's the matter, Tsubaki?"
"Amane, I can't help but notice something has changed within him. I want you to tell me exactly what happened inside that boundary of yours" She asked menacingly, he laughed patting her head making the girl blush from embarrassment "Ughh, I'm being serious, you Arachnid! I'm not a little kid!" She yelled out pulled away and fixing her hat "How would I know that? You were far to unserious today" He replied sarcastically "I didn't say much, just answered his questions about my Yorishiro" She sighed leaning against the window. He smiled as they enjoyed the quiet sound of the night air flowing through there bodies. Somethings just don't change even after years of staying in the same place
