That very next morning, Janet woke up to the soft sound of gentle violins playing on a radio. She blinked a few times, almost forgetting where she was. She sat up, though very sore, and looked around the room. It was white and black, the bed a pure white, while many of the other furnishings were black. She thought about the night before, and smiled a little. She was finally free. Free from the constant beating and verbal abuse. Finally able to be happy for the first time in her 2 years with Mark. The door opened, and Nicki came in with a tray with a bowl of oatmeal. The paramedics suggested that she eat something soft and easy on her stomach and wean her into more solid food until she was back to her original weight.
"Good morning," Nicki said quietly, as she set the tray down on the night stand, and helped Janet sit up.
"Morning," she grunted a little, as she tried stretching her right arm, still broken.
"I hope you like oatmeal," she said grabbing the tray and placing it on her lap. Janet smirked a little, and tried to pick up the spoon, but she was shaking, and very weak. Her body hadn't eaten in weeks, and only water was given to her. She could barely lift up her head.
"Here, let me help you," said Nicki, picking up the bowl and spoon, scooping some for her, placing it close to her lips as she opened her mouth and ate carefully. Janet looked down blushing some as Nicki stared into her eyes. She continued, wiping her lips with a napkin every so often, and smiled. Janet was hot, and felt the power of love come over her, and as Nicki wiped her lips again, she grabbed her hand, and held it close. Nicki's eyes glittered with passion as she looked into hers. Though they were tired, Janet's big brown eyes glittered the same.
"Are you sure about this?" Nicki asked. Janet thought a moment, thinking of how she felt something strange for her. Her mind told her no, but her heart told her yes, and Janet always followed her heart.
"Y-Yes...I may not be gay. But I feel something strong for you. I want to give it a try," she said as Nicki moved her hair away. She caressed her cheek, scooting in close, and then, her lips touched Janet's. Janet in shock looked at her, but then her eyes slowly closed as their love grew. Janet deepened it, holding her close to her as Nicki combed through her hair. Janet enjoyed it. Never knowing a kiss from a girl would be so loving. Nicki pulled away and smiled. Janet did the same.
"I'm glad to know that," she said, kissing her again, making it a full make-out session. Nicki slid her hand under the blankets, tracing her nails on Janet's thigh. Janet looked away and stopped her hand.
"What's wrong?" Nicki asked.
"I...I'm not ready. I still have to over come some things because of Mark...I-I'm not sure Nicki," Janet said, a little afraid of what she would say or do to her if she said no.
"I understand. You don't have to be afraid of me Janet. I'm not Mark, I won't hurt you ok?" she touched her cheek gently, and lied next to her, pulling her close to her chest. Janet had her head on Nicki's breast as if they were pillows. She shut her eyes, and cuddled close to her. Nicki stroked her hair gently as she turned on the television, turning it to Judge Judy. She heard Janet's light snores, to see her fast asleep. She kissed her forehead, and held her close to her. It was a Friday, and she asked for the day off to stay with Janet until she recovered. Her phone vibrated in her pocket, and she saw it was Sherika.
"Hey Nic!!" she shouted.
"Shut the fuck up!! She's asleep right next to me," Nicki yelled at a whisper.
"Oops. Sorry. Anyways, what are you doing?" she asked.
"Nothing. Just sitting her with my baby," Nicki smiled at calling her that.
