About a month later, and Janet and Nicki were happy...well not so much. Janet was becoming a little annoyed of how protective Nicki was being. She was only two months, she still had a ways to go, yet Nicki always acted as if she were handicapped. Always doing simple task that Janet could easily do on her own. That next morning, she woke up to find Nicki up and rubbing her barely showing baby bump. They still had to let everyone know about the engagement and the baby, so they had planned for a party that Saturday to let everyone know.
"Good morning," Nicki said as she kissed her lips.
"Morning...I think we should get ready for the party," she as she sat up and, began to make her way to the bathroom.
"Need any help?"
"Babe...it is a walk in shower, and it's a no slip tile. I will be fine. Stop worrying so much," Janet said with a gentle smirk, and walked into the bathroom, shutting the door. Nicki went down stairs and started breakfast of waffles and bacon. Janet walked down the steps, and kissed Nicki's cheek as she went to the cabinet to get a plate.
"Here. I got it," Nicki grabbed a step stool, and grabbed it for her.
"Nic..."
"What?" Janet shook her head, and began to eat. There was a lot of commotion outside, men shouting, and a truck engine roaring.
"What the hell is going on out there?" Nicki asked. Janet tied her robe, and Nicki followed her to the door, and they looked on as they saw a large red and white U-HAUL truck sitting outside the white house next to their own.
"Looks like someone finally bought that house," Janet said.
"Great...new neighbors,"
"Don't be mean," Janet said nudging her.
"What? Other than Mr. and Mrs. Watkins, who I adore, the last neighbors I had were frat boys who partied every night. I wasn't boss at the time...so it was annoying as fuck,"
"Well based on the furniture set, it's not a bunch of frat boys....it may be a girl,"
"That's even worse...especially if she hits on you or me...then I will-,"
"Stop Nicki. You know no one can take me from you. I love you, and plus. We have our child together. I don't want her to grow up without you," she kissed her cheek. They saw a girl, helping to move her things into the house.
"Why don't we say hello,"
"Fine," Nicki said as they both put on their slippers and made their way down the sidewalk. The girl looked up and smiled.
"Hello. You must be my neighbors. I'm Kendra," She said, shaking Janet's and Nicki's hands.
"Yes we are. I'm Janet, and this is my fiancé Nicki,"
"Oh you're a couple. How cute," She smiled. Nicki was lighting up to her a bit.
"So, where are you moving from?" Nicki asked.
"Arkansas. I had to move due to all the flooding,"
"Oh I'm so sorry,"
"It's alright,"
"Well we just wanted to say hello," Nicki turned to leave when Janet spoke.
"Would you like to come to a party we're having tonight?"
"Well...I don't want to intrude,"
"I would absolutely love it if you came," Janet gave a smile and Kendra gave in.
"Oh alright. I'll come,"
"Great, It starts at 8," Janet waved. Nicki waited for her at the door, and was a little jealous she was invited.
