EMILIA

Senior year is going to be the best, because Kristopher fucking agreed.

Across from me sits my floor length mirror, and I barely recognize the person looking back at me. Instead of my usual appearance, a rather plain looking girl stares back at me. Long brown hair styled into two low, relatively sloppy pigtail, and brown eyes surrounded by somewhat thick framed glasses. My freckles have been covered by makeup that was painstakingly done in order to look as if I don't have makeup on. I'm not convinced that I succeeded at the makeup-less looking part.

A blaring car horn pulls me out of my trance of staring at myself. That must be Kristopher here to pick me up. God I can't believe he agreed to do this with me.

Despite having agreed to go incognito on this with me, Kristopher sat in his bright purple Challenger. Does he know what incognito is supposed to mean?

"God you look SO fucking boring."

"Same applies to you, Krissy."

Kristopher, who usually was flaunting his dyed purple hair, blue eyes so dark they looked almost black, and a long cross necklace or hoops in his ears, he was well, as plain looking as me. His eyes were still the same dark blue, but he also had a brown wig covering his obnoxiously colored hair, and had pulled out his piercings. And probably some makeup to change his face shape some.

"I couldn't look boring even if I tried."

I rip open the door to the challenger, and slam it closed behind me just to spite him. He hates it whenever I slam his doors closed or treat his car even remotely roughly.

"Well aren't you happy, pleasant to be around today."

"I just don't like you."

Kristopher side eyes me, starting to pull out of my driveway. "Cap."

"I don't."

"You didn't say that less than a month ago when we were making out."

I exhale, looking out the window and choosing to try my best to ignore him.

"There's a party you could go to tonight."

"Are you gonna be there?"

"Yeah, duh. I'm the one inviting you."

"Then absolutely not."

Kristopher puffs, deciding to try and stop interacting with me. When we got to the school, before he even had the chance to park the car, I was stepping out and heading up the stairs that lead to the school.

"You aren't even gonna wait for me!?"

"Nope. You can figure it out on your own." I hold up my hand, a middle finger in the air for him to see.

Leaving Kristopher behind me, I keep heading up to the school, finding a water fountain in the middle. Slightly curious, I step up to it and gently dip my hand into the water. A public school with a water fountain...a little odd, but it's nice looking.

Just as I was hoping, everybody ignored me for the majority of the day, not seemingly noticing the fact I was a new face within the crowd. I wasn't announced as a new kid in any of my classes either.

Everything was smooth sailing, and I was glad for it. Naturally, when it came to lunch, after seeing what the school was offering for lunch, I opted out on eating any of it. Finding a spot to sit wasn't difficult either, I personally chose a spot outside. It was peaceful, quiet.
