The blip was one of the biggest tragedies to ever happen, people lost loved ones and the world lost leaders. It had been five years since the blip happened and five years since your wife and nephew turned to dust.
•Five years ago•
"May, Honey? Did you see the news?"
You had gotten off of work early due to some sort of alien attack in the city and had hurried home to check on May.
Finding your wife sitting in the living room looking out the window at the chaos ensuing. Sitting next to her, you let out a sigh as she places her head on your shoulder.
May sniffles and you finally realize that she's been crying. Gently you lift up her face and frown as you see her face covered in tears.
Wiping the tears from her she chuckles from the light feeling of your hands caressing her face. Placing a kiss to her forehead you let go of her face and let her head go back to its original position on your shoulder.
"I'm just nervous about Peter, you know? "
You let out a hum of agreement and wrap your arms around her shoulder, "He'll be fine love. He's strong, I mean he's spider-man for christ's sake."
May stays quiet and you both sit there in silence as you soak in the moment, slowly drifting off to sleep.
Only waking up when May starts to shake you, panic immediately flooding your senses. May seems to be crying and when you look at her hand it's slowly turning to dust.
Jumping up, you also start to panic but notice it's only May who's slowly starting to deteriorate.
"What's going on?! "
May still continues to say nothing but cries harder. Trying not to let the panic get to you, you grab May's face again and kiss her cause it could be your last.
"I love you May, Alright. I love you and nothing will ever change that. "
She finally calms down enough as she leans into your hands, "I love… "
With that May Parker, the love of your life, turns to ashes in your hands and disappears.
•Back to present•
Later you found out that your nephew Peter had also turned to ash in what they called "The blip", fifty percent of the earth's population turned to dust due to a giant purple man snapping his fingers.
After the first year you moved out west and started a farm as a way to cope and try to move on, though no matter how hard you tried you couldn't.
You woke up one evening during the Fifth year to your phone going crazy, news notifications, family members, and old friends.
A call comes in before you can see any of the texts. A New York number and probably spam but you answer it anyway.
Letting out a groggy Hello the other end is quiet for a few seconds before you hear someone speak.
" (Y/N)? "
Waking up immediately, your sent into a confused spiral as you take the phone away from your ear and look at the caller ID again.
"May? "
