Sandy Feet

My feet are burning within the hot brown sand

Yet the distraction of you makes it bearable

The waves of the lake crashing into each other

The sound of birds so loud I can't hear the thoughts within

A beach filled with people

But the only one I notice is you

I grab your hand and pull you closer to the battling water

You pull away, afraid of the unknown

I embrace you, uncaring of your doubts of the future

Uncaring of our surroundings

All I see is you

I stare into your beautiful emerald eyes

As I kiss your soft lips,

Everything around us vanishes into thin air

The sun reflects off of your teeth as you smile ravishingly

I hold you tight, and lead you into the depths of the unknown
