Grace and Newt led Thomas and Minho towards the Map room, Thomas looking at the burned down building. ''What happened?''

''Everything's gone. The giant map, the trunk with our drawings of the Maze.'' Minho sighed. ''Everything.'' Geace gave a quick frown, not fully understanding what had been displayed in the map room, only having seen them once.

''Who do you think did it?'' She questioned.

''Maybe Gally, he seems to want to stay here? The Grievers, who knows? I don't care.''

Thomas frowned. "Now who's the one giving up?"

Minho glared at him. "That's not what I meant, shank."

Thomas opened his mouth to respond, but Newt cut in with a sharp motion of his hand. "Slim it, both of you."

''what did-''

''Just shut your hole for now.'' Minho put his fingers to his lips, his eyes darting around to see if anyone was around them. ''Just shut your hole. You'll find out soon enough.'' Thomas nodded before looking at the others.

''I need to tell you guys something, and we need Teresa's help.''

The group moved quickly, finding Teresa near the edge of the Homestead. She stood with her arms crossed, watching their approach with a guarded expression.

Minho planted himself in front of her, his hands on his hips. "How can we trust her?" he demanded, his tone laced with suspicion. "Soon as she showed up, everything fell to pieces. She even admitted she triggered something."

Grace kept silent, observing the exchange. She understood Minho's frustration—she had seen what chaos could do to people, and she knew how fear clouded judgment.

Newt nodded in agreement. "He's got a point, Tommy." He gestured toward Teresa. "What the bloody shuck did she mean by sayin' she triggered somethin'?"

Thomas stepped forward, his expression resolute. "We can trust her. Every time I've talked to her, it's been about getting us out of here. She didn't ask to come here any more than we did. It's stupid to think she's responsible for all of this."

Newt raised an eyebrow. "Then what's with the cryptic 'I triggered something' nonsense?"

Thomas shrugged, running a hand through his hair. "Her mind was scrambled when she woke up—flashes of memories, gibberish. Maybe we all went through that in the Box but don't remember it." He turned to Grace, his eyes searching. "You're a Medjack. Didn't Teresa do that when she was in the coma?"

Grace folded her arms, speaking for the first time. "Yeah, she did. But so did Ben, Gally, and Alby when they went through the Changing. It's not exactly comforting." She glanced at Teresa. "It's a sign their memories are coming back—fragments, pieces that don't make sense. If she's mumbling, it could be important ... or dangerous."

Teresa rolled her eyes. "You guys know I can hear you, right?"

"Real sweet girl you picked up, Tommy," Newt muttered under his breath, his tone dry as he turned to his girlfirend, squeezing her hand lightly before addressing Thomas. "All right, spill. What's so bloody important?"

Thomas looked at Teresa, who raised an eyebrow, ''What? You talk - they obviously think I'm a serial killer.''

Thomas sighed. "When Teresa was waking up, she told me she remembered something. She said the Maze is a code. It's not just about solving it to find a way out—it's trying to send us a message."

Grace frowned, exchanging a glance with Newt. "A code?"

Minho crossed his arms, his voice skeptical. "How's it a code? It's just a bunch of walls and dead ends."
