⚠️TW: HINTED EMOTIONAL/MENTAL ABUSE⚠️

Why do you condemn us like this,
And not take accountability?
Your actions burn us to ashes,
You've shaken all our stability.

I've been catastrophizing
Every single outcome,
Still fantasizing
That I may overcome.

Stuck in a state of surviving,
I'll find light in small spaces.
Solitude feels reviving,
I'll take problems in small paces.

I look forward to better days
Where I need not worry
That I may see your raging face,
Or feel the heat of your fury.

A time will come soon
Where I'll leave you behind,
Forget these rooms,
And all of your lies.

But for now I wait for freedom,
I plead for calmer waters,
I'll march to my own drum,
Away from my father.
