Dear Tristin,

It's been almost two months. I don't know where you are. I don't know what you're doing. But it's okay. I trust you. And I won't give up. I'll never give up on you. I love you, Tristin. You are my one and only.

I have a bad feeling about all of this - you being gone.

Because things aren't the same without you.

I took Riley on a hike today up the canyon. She loved it. When we stopped to take a break, she asked me what happened to your dad. I didn't know what to say. I was speechless. Before, I told her that he was on a work trip.

But her question was different. The way she asked it was as if she knew something was wrong, with you and her father missing. She wanted to know what had really happened. And she deserved every right.

So I told her, but I spared the details.

She told me today that she wanted to grow up to be just like you.

She's such a beautiful girl, Tristin.

Love,

Ace
