CHAPTER 8: Empty But Infinite

[The next day. Ahriman woke up. He looked at the mirror. He picked up a comb and combed his hair. He went to the bathroom and started brushing. He took a bath. He came out and wore a robe. He went to the kitchen, took out two eggs from the refrigerator and made omelette for his breakfast. He completed his breakfast. He opened his wardrobe and took out his daily outfit, his suit. He opened his drawer and took out his pair of cufflinks. Shlok came to meet him.]

Shlok Good morning sir!

Ahriman: Good morning Roy. What's about the tender?

Shlok: Sir, the tender's fixed.

Ahriman: What did it cost?

Shlok: Sir it was not so expensive. It cost only seven.

Ahriman: Good job Roy.

Shlok: Thank you sir.

Ahriman: What about the Russians?

Shlok: Sir, they came to the office. They wanted to close the deal. They said they don't want to invest here any more.

Ahriman: Ohh, so do I have to go and talk to them or you have already dealt?

Shlok: Sir, I have sent the cleaning men there, the red patches will be cleared soon, camera was off and no one was there during the killing.

Ahriman: Thank you Shlok. I couldn't imagine my position up here without you.

Shlok: Sir you are my boss. You don't need to be thankful to me. It's my job.

Ahriman: Thank you.

[At the Police Station. Nadeem, Kamble and Shakti were in the cabin.]

Inspector Nadeem: Argh!! I am going to arrest Ahriman. I-I-I can't hold it anymore!

Kamble: Sir please be patient. 

Inspector Nadeem: That's the issue. We have been patient for so long. Now it's time for some tough action. Shaurya would have had a family, if we had taken some action before.

Shakti: Inspector, let's go and negotiate Ahriman.

Inspector, Nadeem: Yes!!

[Nadeem and Shakti went out of the cabin. Kamble was trying to stop them.]

Kamble: Sir it's very risky sir. Don't go now!

Inspector Nadeem: Kamble I need a file of all the activities the Underworld Syndicate is doing in the name of Ahriman.

Kamble: Underworld Syndicate???

Inspector Nadeem: Don't cross question me, just go and search!!

Kamble: Okay sir.

[Nadeem and Shakti decided to go to AhriCorp. On their way, they met with an accident. On the traffic signal, a car rushed in and collapsed with Nadeem's car. Nadeem ran out of his car. The previous car was none other than of Shlok Roy. Inside the car sitting was his daughter. Shlok came out of his car.]

Inspector Nadeem: Hey, can't you see the signal!! Mr. Roy?

Shlok: Sorry sir, I was running out of time. My daughter is already late for her school, so I accelerated the car. 

Inspector Nadeem: You are speaking it so easily and casually. It would have been very much dangerous for you and your daughter.

Shlok: I am very very sorry sir.

Inspector Nadeem: Now I am leaving you, but be conscious about the traffic rules.

Shlok: Yes sir sure!
