With You

"Haseena beta, kuch nahi khaya hain tumne. Thoda aur lelo" Ammi said as she tried to put some rice on Haseena's plate who was sitting on the dining table. But Ammi didn't get any response as Haseena was busy on her phone.

"Haseena?" Ammi again called her but  again, there was no response.

"Haseena, suniye!" Karishma said as she clicked her fingers in front of her face.

Haseena got to her concious and looked at Karishma with an annoyed look.

"Kya hain Karishma?" She chided.

"Ammi kuch keh rahi hain, suniye" Karishma said in a calm tone.

Haseena looked at Ammi and then again asked in her chided tone, "kya hain Ammi?"

"Haseena, beta hum keh rhe the thoda aur khalo. Kuch nahi khay—"

"Hume nahi khana hain!" Haseena yelled and stood up from the chair.

"Dekh—"

"Humne kahan na, kuch nahi khana hain humein. Ek baar bolde toh samajhti kyun nahi hain aap? Aur kitne baar kahan hain apko humein force mat kiya kijiye" Haseena said in annoyed tone which surprised both of them. It was probably the first time she would have yelled on Ammi or Karishma. Haseena just pushed the table in front of her slightly and went to her room in anger.

Karishma looked at Ammi who was looking down trying to control her tears. But her soft heart just could not bear the words which Haseena had said to her. Tears came rolling down to her cheeks as her wrinkled hands attempted to wipe them while shivering.

Karishma's heart ached while seeing this, she just went towards her and rubbed her back while holding her hand.

"Ammi, shant ho jaiye. Haseena shayad tension mein hain isliye aap pe chilla diya hoga. Unka koi mansha nahi hoga apko chot pahunchane ka" Karishma said while trying to calm her down.

"Esi bhi kya tension ki hum par hi chilla diya usne" Ammi said and listening this, Karishma's heart broke. Indeed she was right.

"Hum... Hum samjhaenge unko, aap chinta mat kijiye" That's all Karishma could say.

Ammi just nodded.

"Ab Haseena hum apse hi janenge, apke iss bartav ki vajah" Karishma thought to herself.

After making Ammi have her medicines and then massaging her legs till she slept, Karishma entered in her room with the thought of confronting Haseena.

She found that she was sitting on the study table with the laptop infront of her. But then something happened and Haseena sighed as she closed the laptop.

"Haseena" Karishma called her.

"Karishma? Humne dekha nahi apko aate hue" Haseena said while going towards the bed.

"Hum apse kuch baat krna chahte hain" Karishma said as she moved towards her.

"Ji, kahiye" Haseena said while sitting on the bed.

"Haseena, kya hua hain apko?" She asked calmly.

"Humein kya hua hain matlab? Hum toh bilkul theek hain" Haseena answered in a confused tone.

"Hum uski baat nahi kar rahe hain. Aaj kal aap bahut chup chup sir rehne lagi hain, aur bahut chid chidi se rehne lagi hain, kya hum jaan sakta hain, iski vajah kya hain?" Karishma asked while holding her hand.

"Hum bilkul theek hain Karishma, apko shayad vehem ho rha hain" Haseena answered while taking her hands back.

"Nahi! Aap theek nahi hain" Karishma said out of frustration.
