Kara walked up to the house ringing the doorbell but we had no answer so me and her went round to the other side of the house, we spotted a young boy chopping some wood "hello we're looking for rose? Is she here?" The boy who was probably around my age turned to us and began to speak

"what do you want with her?"

"We need to speak with her" I was slightly annoyed at how he spoke to kara

"She doesn't want to talk, go away" he then continued to chop the wood

"Please I really need to see her!" Then a woman came out of the greenhouse behind the boy

"I'm rose, what can I do for you?"

"I was told you could help us"

"Help you?" Kara held up one of her hands and let her synthetic skin fade away as I grabbed onto her other hand, I could hear the snow crunching underneath Luthers heavy stride as he carried Alice, rose looked to us "come on, it's better off if we talk inside" she walked towards a back door as the boy follows her.

Luther then places Alice down and she comes and holds my hand "do you think we can trust them?" I look to kara
"We don't have a choice" We then walk over to rose's back door opening it and entering the house.

"come in" we walked into the house warily as Luther shut the door behind us, rose bent down a little to speak with Alice "what's your name?"

"Alice" rose then moved her hand to Alice's forehead and face "she's running a fever"

"We've spent the last few nights outside she's exhausted" kara spoke to rose

"There's a spare room upstairs you can put her to bed and I can bring her something to eat, Adam will you show them upstairs" the others followed Adam as he began to walk upstairs all except for me

"y/n? Are you coming?"

"No I'm going to stay down here and warm myself by the fire for a bit"

"Oh ok."

Kara, Alice and luther all followed Adam upstairs as I went and sat by the fire warming my hands up "so how old are you?" rose was talking to me as she started to make some food

"um I'm eighteen, nineteen in a few months actually " she stopped for a second before continuing

"so you're quite young? Are you at school?"

"Yeah, and no I'm not at school, I've been working for a few years now actually"

"Why?"

"My dad is addicted to red ice and he couldn't get a job so I got one after basically fighting the manager for the position"

"What did you work as?" Did? Oh yeah right the whole running away thing

"I worked for a paint shop, the androids there are always getting broken so I stepped in to help" a lovely smell wafted over to me from the kitchen and when I turned around rose had two plates of spaghetti in her hands, she walked over to me handing me a plate along with a fork

"here you go rose's world famous spaghetti" it looked really delicious

"Thank you" I immediately dug into the food, I hadn't realised I was that hungry "I'll be back down in a moment just delivering this to your sister"

"Ok, thanks" I continue to eat my spaghetti when I notice Adam starring at me oddly but I just faced away from him and continued to eat my food when rose came back down with some of Alice clothes placing them in a room near the front door then a few Kara came back downstairs.
