44th Break: Vengeance

"Meng Ruyan... I never heard any news of him." the man answered with a puzzled expression. He really doesn't have any impression of Meng Ruyan. If this woman didn't ask him, he wouldn't know that there is such a person in the Meng family.

"Really?" the woman acted disappointed, but she was secretly surprised. There wasn't any news of Meng Ruyan? Then, is he actually already dead? She thought, feeling puzzled. "Hmm... how about clothes?" the man asked when they passed by a clothes store. "I heard there are new designs that arrived today." He said.

The female practitioner shrugged. This isn't her money, anyway, but that family of three. "Okay." She nodded. She doesn't really know Meng Ruyan.

Even if the Meng family already know her true identity so these clothes won't reach Meng Ruyan's hands, then she can use this for herself when she escapes after she killed Meng Ruyan!

Meng Xing looked at the doctor sitting across him. He didn't lie to Lin Ze earlier. Qiu Wu really brought back the master that he found in the mountains when he went home to pay respects to his family's grave because it was their death anniversary.

"This..." the doctor frowned after he felt Meng Xing's pulse.

"How is it?" Qiu Yi nervously asked.

The doctor looked at Meng Xing. His gaze is complicated. What is going on? He thought as he stared at Meng Xing's face. This person should have already died! How can he still be alive?! He shuddered when he felt the hairs on his old body rose.

Meng Xing saw the doctor's complicated gaze and he just smiled, knowing what the doctor is thinking. "I was poisoned five years ago, but during these five years, it didn't act up. So, I thought that the poison was already gone." He spoke. "That was until recently, I developed a high fever." He said. "But, after two days, I was fine again." He told the doctor.

The doctor's brows knitted. "With just the amount of poison inside your body, you should have already died." He finally spoke.

Qiu Yi and Qiu Wu froze. Qiu's face turned pale in fear and his heart sank after they heard what the doctor said.

"But, since you lived, it seemed that something has suppressed the poison in your body." The doctor said.

"What?!" Meng Xing's eyes sharpened. There is another thing inside this body?! He thought as his face was covered in black lines.

"Or else? You will be tortured by that poison especially after you lived." The doctor looked at Meng Xing.

Meng Xing's face turned pale when he recalled the feeling of being bitten by ants all over his body, including his insides, while he was having a fever. It really was never good.

"Boss?!" Qiu Yi called when he saw Meng Xing's poor complexion.

Meng Xing took a deep breath. "I am fine." He said and shook his head. "That thing that was suppressing the poison... what is it?" he asked as he looked at the doctor.

"If I know, I would have already told you." The doctor said. His expression is also heavy.

This is the first time that he has met someone who has both a deadly poison and at the same time a cure that could suppress the poison inside his body! Such a strange case... and this is the boss of Huichen? Really impressive! He thought and sighed in awe. Fortunately, Qiu Wu insisted of bringing him here. Or else, he wouldn't meet Meng Xing.

Meng Xing's lip twitched. "Then... when will the poison act up again?" he asked.

"The reason why the poison acted up is because the thing that is suppressing it is weakening." The doctor said.

"What?!" Qiu Yi exclaimed. "Then, if we know what this thing is, and find it... will the boss' condition be cured?" he asked.

"It depends on how much this thing is..." the doctor sighed. "We don't even know what kind of medicine is it that is suppressing the poison, so how can we find something we do not know?" he asked. "Not to mention that we don't know what kind of poison is it that poisoned your boss... maybe if we know what kind of poison is it, we will know the medicine that can cure the poison." He told them.

Qiu Yi and Qiu Wu nodded in understanding.

"Qiu Wu, you entertain the doctor. Qiu Yi, you stay." Meng Xing spoke.

Qiu Wu nodded and then left with the doctor.

"Boss." Qiu Yi called as he poured Meng Xing's cup with tea. "Ah Yu is already dead." He told Meng Xing.
