Happiest Day (3)

I had my hair styled into a bun, and my make up was being done. I could still remember that day, when he proposed to me. We graduated college at that time, and so there was a big party at the gym. We were twenty two at that time, and our relationship was more than seven years long.

"So baby be the life of the party." he sang as he smiled at me. "I know our relationship was long and sweet, but I wanna take it to a next level." Shawn stated as he knelt down. I covered my mouth, getting teary eyed. "Will you marry me?" he said, and I nodded "Yes!". And the crowd erupted into cheers. Shawn hugged me, and he swung me around, laughing.

My mom walked in, smiling at me. "My baby's getting married." she said as she was getting teary eyed. "I expect cute grandchildren!" she said, and I blushed.

I got into my dress, it was simple yet stunning. My maid of honor, B/F/N, helped me into it. "Now you get dressed!" I giggled. She did, and it was a knee-length purple dress. She hugged me and said "I'm so happy for you, Y/N." and smiled.

I went into the car, and we were on the way to the *insert church name*. I'm getting nervous, oh my God! The day has come! I got off the car and stood outside the doors. I tried to calm down myself, but it was no use. I was still nervous, yet happy at the same time. I fixed my veil a bit, and the doors opened.

I was walking down the aisle, and I could see Shawn looking at me, smiling uncontrollably, with his mouth covered. As I got to the altar, I smiled at Shawn.

"Do you take Y/N to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"Do you take Shawn to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do."

We were about to say our vows, and Shawn said his first.

"Y/N, today I take you to be my wife. I promise to accept you for who you are, and love you for that. I will be right beside you in times of up and down, through every problem, through every path."

"Shawn, today... I take you to be my loving husband. To accept and support your decisions, to make life easier and better for the both of us as possible, and to love you till my last breath."

I got teary eyed as we said our vows, I just can't believe this is happening right now. We exchanged our rings, and the priest said, "You may now kiss the bride."

Shawn lifted the veil from my face, caressed my cheek and kissed me, the crowd clapped as we did so.

We're at the reception right now. B/F/N was making a speech. "I remember the day she had a small poster of him, she kept on saying that she'll marry him one day, and look at her now." she smiled as the crowd laughed, and so did Shawn and I. "Hey Shawn," she said. "Yeah?" Shawn said. "Make her cry and I'll beat you." she said and the we all laughed.

"Awhile ago, Shawn was literally sweating bullets and happy at the same time." started his dad. "He rambled about future interruptions with the wedding going on, but yet, said that this was the happiest day of his life." He smiled.
