“courage isn't abandoning feelings,
It's treading on despite them!”

It traversed her shivering arm
and struck her right in the chest
and she fell with the grace of slaughtered pelicans,
dripping with sweat and blood!
her ebony eyes locked with hers,
bleak and bereft,
and the gaping hole grew,
a vortex spinning at the conquest!

Tired cheers erupted around,
the forces of evil fled in fright,
none knew it wasn't death bestowed,
but an eternal sleep till the end of time.
And so none but her knew the cure,
of her young lips pressed against scarlet,
they were her deepest desires,
but also her deepest fears
and so she was to be lost in eternal silence!

"Destruction isn't always visible,
it can lie behind wide smiles too!"

She was prophesied for greatness
and greatness did she accomplish,
but despite all,
her heart was still locked in a place
miles deep,
she tried, oh with ardour did she,
but it never ceased to last,
this yearning that plagued her deep!

And it persisted,
ardent flames refusing to douse,
there was a beckoning that wasn't there in years,
a desperate whisper captivating her senses.
It tugged, oh so gently,
and she lost her grip over sensibility,
till fate brought her after years,
to the subject of her heart's yearning!

She gazed on,
the maelstrom behind masks pouring out unbidden,
hypnotic and appealing it prompted,
to abate her heart's yearnings all at once.
Ah if only she hadn't given in,
Ah if only she had moved on,
Alas it was her fate,
the consequence of a love unjust and forbidden,
her lips pressed on colder ones, moving finally in abandon!

She, who was to be a forgotten tale,
had never been forgotten,
she had lived eternally in the heart of one,
and so even when she wasn't revived,
even as the curse persisted on,
she bound the life of an angel,
who's folly had only been,
to fall in love!
