» chapter two: kooks in summer «

Sarah had gotten ready and then she and Winnie had left, heading over to Raquel's. She didn't live too far from the Camerons and her home was just as large. The pillars out the front gave it an overly regal feel, making the mid-sized mansion seem even grander.

The house was in pristine condition, untouched by Agatha and the destruction she'd laid out across the rest of the island. The only hint that the hurricane had even been here was in the garden around their home, where several trees had been ripped from the ground.

Winnie opened the door and walked right in, accustomed to doing so whenever she was at the Morales's home. They were all over there quite regularly because Raquel's parents were always at their business.

The other girls thought that was part of why Raquel always wanted them around and seemed so lonely. They would never say that to her face, though. Raquel would never admit to needing someone like that.

Heading up the large staircase they went down the hall to Raquel's bedroom. The wide windows let in a lot of sun, meaning that the girls did not even have to bother with switching on the lights.

Raquel sat at her vanity finishing her make-up while Quinn was laying on the girl's bed reading a book. As they walked in, Raquel's gaze shifted to meet theirs in the mirror.
