you and chris had decided to go to a nearby fair in boston and the last thing you two had decided to do was ride the ferris wheel.

"thank you for tonight, chris. it's been so fun," you smiled as you held the stuffed monkey that chris won for you.

"you're welcome, y/n," he smiled back as he gently held your hand.

as you two waited in line, you looked at all the other rides that lit up in the dark.

after about fifteen minutes of waiting, the two of you finally managed to get into a cart.

"watch, we're gonna get stuck at the top," chris commented as the ride started moving.

you shook your head, "you don't know that," as you stared down at the ground, it growing further away from you the higher up you went.

then, sure enough, the ferris wheel got stuck at the top.

"i fucking knew it!" chris exclaimed as he threw up his hands up dramatically.

"it'll move again in a couple minutes," you said as you placed your hand on his thigh.

chris shook his head before looking down at your hand, smiling.

you asked, "what're you smiling at?"

"nothing, it's just- i love you," he said as he looked back up at you.

"i love you too," you smiled.

after about twenty minutes, the ferris wheel still hasn't moved.

you huffed, "i really don't want to be stuck here all night."

"as long as i'm with you then everything will be okay," he smirked as he held your hand.

you chuckled, "okay, cheesy ass."

"oh shut up, you love my cheesy ass," he laughed.

his eyes then went wide as he realized what he said, making you let out a loud laugh.

"what the fuck, it sounded better in my head. i'm sorry," he said.

you said with a smile, "it's okay, chris."

then, the ferris wheel started moving again.

"finally! i was starting to get cold," you exclaimed as you wrapped your arms around yourself.

chris gently pulled you into his side, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.

once the ferris wheel reached the ground, the two of you quickly got off and headed back toward your car.

"tonight was fun," you commented.

"agreed, since i got to spend it with you," he smirked.

you chuckled, "stop being cheesy, you weirdo."

"never," he said, his smirk growing wider.
