|3rd Person|
2 years later...
The rule of King Lufian brought huge improvement to the kingdom. Their army increased greatly with the help of the men that Abrecan left to train those who were willing to defend the kingdom. With his achievements, he earned respects from his neighboring kingdoms, especially Nerian. They played a huge part in supplying weapons for the Avilandrian army. Luzhiah was adored by the people, her strong and benevolent vibe captured the hearts of the people. Her family rose to the top and benefited greatly from her position. Benjamin got married to Lavender and settled down in a mansion near the palace. Lufian bestowed him the title as a Duke as a reward for his courage and loyalty during the war that happened.
Wynchell married Adrianna and they moved to Avilandrah, However, Wynchell's mother, The former queen Rain was captured to be presented in the king's court. Lufian dug up enough evidence that points to her as the one behind the death of the late queen Elenah.
"I didn't do it! My King, didn't I treat you as my own? I loved you as if your my own son, why would I do that if I am the one who is behind the death of the late queen? I respected her so much! I would never do that!" She cries while she's on her knees, kneeling in front of Lufian's throne.
Wynchell looked at his mother, it pains him seeing her in such a position. He looked at his brother who looked somewhat furious. "You didn't have anything to do about it?!" Leon stepped forward and gave Lufian some old letters with the former queen's signature about her transactions with the assassins. Lufian took it and threw it at her.
"Then Explain this!"
Former queen Rain's eyes widened upon realization. Her hands shaking as she take the letters. She looked at Lufian and bowed, "I was forced! The assassins scared me! It was king Fallon who did it!"
Lufian laughed upon hearing what she has to say, "King Fallon? There's no one else you can blame is there? I see you've benefited well from my mother's death!" Lufian stood up and went down to her, he walked around her pretending to think, "Let's see...You seduced my father, you acted like a sweet replacement of my mother while torturing me behind my father's back, You gave birth to a son in which you hoped that he is a worthy opponent to the throne....I can say a lot more, do you want me to continue?"
Rain trembled in fear in realization that she can't defend herself anymore. "My mother trusted you, and yet you betrayed her!" Lufian's voice echoed through the halls. "You took her life, you should pay with yours!"
"Brother!" Wynchell stepped up and kneeled down, "Please, don't do this! she's my mother after all. Spare her," he pleaded.
"Why would I spare the life of the one who took my mother's?" The coldness in his voice emitted a dangerous aura within the halls. The ministers were silent, they thought it was best not to interfere. Even those who were quite close with the former queen didn't dare to step up for her.
No one dared to move as the silence within in the halls became terrifying. Suddenly, Luzhiah stood up and grabbed Lufian's hand. The king's gaze softened upon seeing his queen, "Lufian, please reconsider, I know your pain, but you know how it feels to loose your mother. Are you willing to let your brother experience the same pain?" she whispered, her voice is faint but it was heard of those close to them.
Lufian looked at Wynchell. After all, he knows that Luzhiah still has a soft spot for his brother. Not love, but care. "Fine! I'll spare you," he said in which stunned everyone. They all knew that the queen and king get along very well, but for her to influence him like this, They've never seen before.
"Thank you brother," Wynchell cried.
"But that doesn't mean that I'll let it go. The former queen shall leave Avilandrah and be sent at the abandoned mountains Never to come back again for as long as I'm alive!" Lufian gave the order as the former queen was dragged away by the guards. Even they, lost respect for her after knowing about what she's done to the late queen Elenah.
