There's no sadness that can rival the pain that I'm feeling right now. Sighing, I looked at the window and wiped my eyes with my handkerchief. I heard a knock from the door. It way Layla, she handed me a box with a note. "It's for you your majesty," she said.
I opened the box and it was filled with dried petals of a certain flower. I opened the note at it said,
"I heard the news, I guess word really travels fast...Anyway, I hope this dried petals can be useful for you. This is how my mother managed to conceive me before, at least that's what my father said! I hope we get a chance to see each other again soon...and hopefully with your child,
Your friend,
Eldian"
I looked at Layla and asked her to get me a piece of paper. I wrote a letter of thanks and asked her to deliver it to prince Eldian. I sure hope that it would work, I sighed and placed the box on the table.
Suddenly, Lufian came in. "Why is it that every time you have a problem I always find you In the same place in the same area?" he asked.
I laughed and watch him sit beside me. "I'm sorry Luzhiah," he said. "I am the one that brought you in all this,"
"Are you regretting it? Marrying me that is?" I asked.
He looked at me with a look of disbelief. He shook his head. "I never, and will never regret that I've married you!" he said.
"Even though I'm broken? I cannot give you an heir Lufian...I'm practically useless!"
Lufian pulled me into his embrace, "Why would you ever think that? that's not the only reason I married you!" he said as he comforts me. "You don't need to get pregnant for me to love you, I've always did, and I'll always will..."
"But your bloodline..." he gently lifted my face and wiped my tears.
"Wynchell will continue it if he must. If it happens to be that we are not blessed with an heir, Wynchell will inherit the throne. And don't give up hope, we have a lifetime together. Anything could happen," he gently assured me.
I nodded and smiled at him. "If I was given an opportunity to change my background, I would choose to be a normal man living in a small cottage on top of a hill. And.... you're still my wife of course," he started to tell me,
"There we'd be free without any rules to obey. Although, it would be a little hard financially, At least we have the freedom we want.." I continued.
Lufian continued saying a bunch of random stuff until I fell asleep.
I didn't know what happened then, but when I woke up it's already night time. I don't know how long did I sleep but I hurriedly freshen myself up and decided to get out of our chamber, I asked Layla where Lufian is, and she led me in the throne room. I walked slowly as I saw familiar figures in front of me.
Wynchell, Adrianna, Benjamin and Lavender. I also saw the sight of my father who was leaning on a pillar. "What's going on?" I asked. They all looked so serious, Lufian looked at me and at the sapphire gem on my neck. I seem to understand as I touch the stone, Benjamin looked at me and said, "The enemy is back, and quite stronger than he was before."
"King Fallon? I thought he's dead?" I asked in confusion, Lufian looked at Wynchell questioningly. And all of a sudden all eyes are on him, he did reported that king Fallon died back then.
"You said you saw it yourself!" I reminded him.
He looked at the ground and said, "I did, I saw him fall down the cliff! the cliff is so high, I wouldn't imagine someone actually surviving it!"
