I sighed putting a brown houndstooth pencil skirt on I put a cream colored long sleeve blouse that flared out at the ends on the sleeves

In the middle of the blouse it was a v cut and ruffles on the middle of the shirt

I had black stockings on and a high ponytail in my natural hair I did a little makeup whole Assad got ready and got Mari's bag ready before getting her dressed

"You hungry now or you wanna eat at uncle Keenan's house?"

"I wanna eat there" she said watching cartoons on assads bed

"Ok" I told her putting my earrings on before putting some bracelets and necklaces on I decided to go with gold cause it's gold

I put some shoes on the same color as my blouse before grabbing Mari's bag and picking her up

"I'll be back baby I'm dropping Mari off" I told Assad

"Ok I love you baby have a good day" Assad said to Mari through the bathroom door

"I love you too you too daddy" she said making me grin before going to the front door grabbing a random set of keys before going into the garage clicking the lock button making it honk as it went to the car before unlocking the doors putting Mari in her car seat

I got on then connected to the Bluetooth playing closer by goapele

I sung along with the song until the way by Jill Scott came on I was trying my best to distract myself I was really nervous even tho I didn't want to be it's just there was a possibility that Mari could be leaving and not with us

I pulled into the boys driveway before unlocking the door with my keys

"Keenan ahmad" I semi yelled

"I'm here Ahmad took the girls out for breakfast" Keenan said

"Don't worry I told him to get Mari some food too" he said making me nod

"You gon be ok alone with uncle Keenan?" She nodded

"Ok I love you ok baby?"

"I love you too lay"

"Me and your daddy will be back to get you later and take you out to dinner so think about what you wanna eat while we're gone we're gonna be back soon we have to go do some grownup stuff ok?" She nodded

"Ok bye mo- lay" she said

"Bye baby" I said not even realizing what I said cause I was so caught up in my thoughts

"You a mommy now?" Keenan asked

"Wym?" I asked before it clicked making me look at Mari

"She corrected herself so I don't think she meant it" I told him making him smack his teeth

"That girl sounded so happy to say that and then she stopped girl hush you that babies momma"

"She probably just stressed she literally corrected herself but I'll talk to Assad about it" I said

"Ight good luck sis even tho y'all don't need it y'all got this fs" Keenan told me pulling me in a hug
