My parents continue to argue while I on the other hand can hear everything they're talking about

"Chaeryeong will leave and that's final" dad said

"She will continue to study her medicine and be a remarkable doctor in the US" he added

Wait what?! Did I heard it right? US?

"You always decide for everyone of us. You never even ask our daughter if she wanted to leave the country" mom said

"You really think she's studying at Seoul? You know nothing" dad said

"She's taking double majors, media arts and medicine, filmmaking club president and do you want to know what I found out recently?" He asked and my mom kept silent

"She's in a relationship with a girl! How did you even raise her?! There are plenty of men and yet she decided to get herself a girlfriend? For what? To be a laughing stock?!" He said

How did he even found out about me having a girlfriend?
I'm starting to get nervous as I hear them continue to fight

"There's nothing wrong in being in a same sex relationship you know that" mom said

"Is that why you're throwing our daughter in a foreign country without letting her know?" She added

"It doesn't matter whatever you say. My decision is final" dad said

"Dad, that's enough. Please let Ryeong live the way she wanted"

Is that Chaeyeon unnie?

"She's been following you all her life. This is the first time she standing up for herself. Can't you see she's excelling in media arts? Have you tried watching the films she produced?" She said

"I don't want to watch a piece of trash" he said which hurt me

"Dad, all her life she's living behind your shadow, my shadow. Please. Let her do what she wants" she added

"No. The two of you are leaving the day after Christmas. U already bought your plane tickets" he said

I can't take it anymore. I went out of my room and went to the living room where they were

"Ryeong" Chaeyeon unnie said as soon as she saw me

"I'm not going to the US dad. I'll continue my studies at Seoul wether you like it or not" I said and clenched my fist

"You always listened and followed my order before. What happened to you?" He asked and went closer to me. I stepped back a little since I know that anytime now, he will lay his hand on me again

"Is that what you get from hanging out with your girlfriend?!" He said

"No! Yuna's been good to me! You're the one who doesn't treat me well!" I exclaimed and I saw his face getting mad

"So you really have a girlfriend huh?! I told you to focus on studying why don't you listen to me?!" He said

"Break up with her this instant!" He said

It took me a while to grasp my thoughts. I don't want to break up with Yuna. I don't want to leave her. She's the only person that makes me feel happy and loved

"Dad, all my life I'm following everything you want. I always listen to what you say. I wanted to make you proud dad but that seems it will never happen no matter how hard I try" I said and tears were falling down on my cheeks

"This is the first time I wanted something for myself. You can slap me or punch me. You can kick me out of the house again but I will never break up with her" I said
