Everyone was finishing up their dinner.

Mike, and others, smiled at Arabella.

'Bed time is 10:30 PM', Mike said.

'Yes, but by Midnight, I shall lock all of the doors, and windows. My lamp shall illuminate the dark halls, and windows. And then I shall retire for the morning', Arabella smiled back. She waited again, as the teenagers explored the sinister House of Dark Skulls. The howling, southerly wind blew from outside the gothic house; the breeze wafted in a ESE direction. The unearthly screams came from the crawlspace near the nineteen forties era attic that was consumed by flies, ants, and spiders. And, as the weather dropped to 51 degrees overnight, the horror of what happened there wasn't forgotten, as Arabella did her night job, before she heard the guests return to their beds, and go to sleep. She did the same as before. And, as she was dressed in her nightgown, and warm blue slippers on her small feet, the burning lamp illuminated the bedroom, and the darkness was gone from the place where evil dwelled.

It was Midnight.
